    Fresh 4. Roast Beef Sandwich

Just give Jessica 24 hours notice and you too can take home a gigantic lasagna like this. Not joking, this thing weighs at least 6 pounds. Can't wait to dig in. Thank you, Jessica!

What an overall standup sandwich tucked away in "downtown" Liberty Missouri. Sorella's makes a mean meat masterpeice there is no denying that this deli is a top contender for a Top 10 Sandwich in (a lil further out than) KC. Last time I was visiting the suburb I came across this whole in the wall deli sort of next to a whole in the wall bar aptly called, The Corner Bar, the deli was no other than Sorella's. It was a kind of late for lunch and they were about to close up shop but I managed to slip through the doo before the sliver slicers were put to rest. The Katie's special of the day seemed perfect for my growling stomach promising to be piled with turkey breast, leafy spinach and havarti cheese, creamy mayo- I was sold. When the half of sandwich was crafted and presented to me minutes after I ordered her I was in awe of her beautiful rye bread, it was a swirly sight of glossy chestnut brown and soft sensual white bread. I was so ready to put this sandwich in my mouth! Surprisingly the bread held itself together while still being squishy and fresh. It provided the perfect vehicle to get the tender turkey, crisp veggies and that perfect mellow white slice of cheese from sandwich wrapping paper to mouth to stomach. Whenever I am in Liberty Missouri again I am so stepping into Sorella's for a stellar sandwich honestly the only thing that could make this sammy more of a whammy is if it was closer to the city center!

    Muffaletta sandwich

I wanted to try something new and since I live so close to Liberty, I thought I should at least try out the restaurants there. I was looking on Yelp and this was one of the top results for restaurants. There was a small parking lot in the back and also street parking. I came around 1pm and there was nobody there. The guy working there was nice and recommended a few items on the menu. The popular sandwiches according to him were the Reuben, Italian Meat, and Turkey sandwiches. I was eyeing the Meatball Sub, but he told me about the Muffaletta sandwich. He gave me a sample of the Sorella's Green Olive spread which was good to me. He also told me that the meatballs in the Meatball Sub were made in-house and said they tasted good. I ordered the Muffaletta ($7.25 for a whole sandwich) and a soda with a bag of chip for $8.89 total. The had different kinds of bread on display so you could choose which one if you'd like. They made the sandwich which took a few minutes. The girl who worked here was also nice when she handed me the sandwich. The Mufaletta sandwich tasted pretty good to me and Sorella's Green Olive spread complemented the rest of the meat in the sandwich. I'll have to try the other 9 sandwiches on the menu because thy all sounded good to me.

The #5 turkey on a hoagie, and the Special this week. Both very tasty!

Great spot in Downtown Liberty! Friendly and great sandwiches. Fast service. Bread was fresh (yum!) and the deli meats were boars head and cut on the spot fresh. Highly recommended to stop by for lunch and we'll be back.

A great little spot, a true neighborhood thing. Want hot? Try the muffeletta sandwich, which is my favorite.

This place has so many meat and seafood options for sale and a restaurant. Chilean sea bass was on the fresh today menu. We decided to treat ourselves. Everyone in the restaurant/store was so nice! We tried out the restaurant. My husband had the "Mariah's Badass Boss Burrito." It has lobster, crab, shrimp, and Wagyu steak. He ordered fries, which were unfortunately doggy. He said the burrito was good. I had the Teal Tide steak wrap. First of all, that "wrap" was massive. I would call it a burrito more than a wrap, ha ha. It has grilled Wagyu steak, feta cheese, beef bacon, crispy onion straws, and blueberry-jalapeño bacon jam on a rosemary tortilla. I ordered mine without the onion straws. The steak was flavorful and tender and the blueberry-jalapeño bacon jam is addicting! I ordered a side of their coleslaw and it is one of the best coleslaw recipes I've ever eaten!!! The next night, I cooked the Chilean sea bass using an online recipe for both of us. Talk about treating oneself: the filets didn't taste frozen. They were buttery and rich!!! So good!!! My husband and I loved them. Thank you for brightening up our weekend, The Upper Cut!!! You've gained two new customers.

As luck would have it, I had to run an errand near the area and my decision was made. First off, the entrance isn't where you'd think it would be. The order window was closed and I noticed people going up to the deck to get in, so up I headed. The place was actually spacious and comfortable, it has a Caribbean vibe to it. After much consternation, I figured I'd make it tough on them and opted for the Reuben. As some somebody who has had many Reubens at the place where they were invented, Omaha's Blackstone Hotel, I can be a tough judge. This is definitely the best place to get one in KC, so I know that I'll be back for more. I even liked the bread that they used, it set it apart from other sammiches. And the service was great, so I'll be back.

Entering the space on weekday is preferable for those who do not want to have a lot of noise when eating dinner. On saturday during peak lunch the spot can get pretty busy but somehow never packed. They even have a fun merch corner if you fee like reppin som delicious dough. Will return soon if not atleast a couple times before the end of the summer.

They have a walk up window located inside The Commons. You just order at the window and they send you a text when it's ready to be picked up. Service has always been friendly and professional and I've never experienced a problem. The bread is unique. It's a Dutch crunch so it has a nice crunchy texture on top but the bread itself has a nice chew and holds up to whatever toppings you like. I personally favor the Crown Town club. It's a classic club sandwich-turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a chipotle mayo. I like to also add smoked Gouda because cheese improves everything imho. They also offer vegetarian options, hot sandwiches, chips, and cookies. I've honestly loved everything I've eaten from them over the years so you really can't go wrong. If you're at The Commons or even Cinder Block next door, definitely stop by and get something to eat. Highly recommend!

The options this place offers is appetizing. I really wanted 3 different sandwiches and finally settled on the Wagyu Nebraskan. The Dutch crunch bread is amazing! Now, this kind of bread is not for those with sensitive palates, meaning you might find it difficult to eat the crunchy top of the bread. You know, like when you eat dry crunchy cereal. But if you can take smaller bites, it's not as difficult to eat and it's so tasty! I'm a big fan. The meat was plentiful, the cheese was good, and the sauce was delicious. I enjoyed the sauerkraut as well. The sandwich just works really well together. I got a churro cookie and wow, that thing was amazing. I enjoyed every single bite and crumb of that big chewy delicious cookie. I need more cookie. And more sandwich. This place is yummy. And the location is just FUN!
