Mudbug's is always a hit. I've not got anything from here that I didn't like. Mudbug's specializes in po' boys, but they aren't your ordinary po' boys. These are some of the most unique and tasty sandwiches that you'll ever have. They are packed so full that you can almost make another po' boy with the filling that falls out when you're eating it. I think I may go to Mudbug's tomorrow because I'm getting hungry typing this. 2 thumbs up

Cajun dusted swordfish, served over a roasted sweet pepper and basil infused slaw. Topped with a shrimp scampi sauce.

Cajun dusted Mako shark served over lemon pepper slaw and topped with a shrimp Florentine sauce. This was a Friday night special and like all of the sandwiches it is a two fisted monster! But, not only is it big it's loaded with freshness and flavor!

Po' Boys! North of the river! Small space just opened up on Vivion next to Big Burger. Have seen a food truck outside a few times also. We got a fried shrimp and a chicken and andouille po'boys, cup of gumbo and a kids chicken fingers. All the po'boys come with crawfish sauteed in garlic butter on it too. Sandwiches were great, we preferred the shrimp over the chicken and andouille. Will try the basa next time. Gumbo was good, not too spicy but there is an assortment of hot sauces available if you want. Chicken fingers were good as well.

We love the shrimp po'boy, but everything there is great. The sandwiches are huge and the staff is very friendly.

If you're all about fresh ingredients, meaty bites, and bold Asian inspired sauces, this is definitely the place to check out. I ordered the three bao combo for $20 along with a $7 lavender lemonade. I got the 'Mighty Meat' baos 2 of them and 1 Chick-a-licious Baos as a part of my combo meal. The mighty meat Baos were filled with slow braised shredded beef with spicy Korean barbecue sauce, and the Chicken Baos were flavorful packed with marinated lemongrass, grilled chicken. The baos were steamed fresh after ordering and packed with plenty of meat, layered with fresh toppings, creamy sauce, jalapeños, and kimchi. Every bite was full of flavor, and I enjoyed them so much equally that I'll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu. The lavender lemonade was another highlight freshly squeezed with half a lemon added right into the 32 is container. It's such a fun touch and makes the drink even more refreshing as you sip. The owners were really fun to chat with and told me that they have recently started the food truck and would love to venture into the Kansas side as soon as possible. They mentioned that they would be at the 'Kansas City dragon boat festival' in September, so definitely give them a call to confirm those details!! If you love food trucks, supporting local businesses and crave Korean inspired food, Bao Wowz is a must try. For me, it's a definite 10/10!

I wasn't in a rush to go back, but I did want to make sure to give them another try after some time had passed, in case the initial impression had been made prior to them ironing out any unforeseen issues as a new business. Recently, I tried their mac and cheese, burnt ends, potato salad, and beans. It's good. ...Just not amazing. The food seems fresh, the place always seems clean. The younger man that owns/runs the place is very nice. The parking can sometimes be an issue because they're located in a small trip mall connected to an apartment complex. Their prices are also just a little expensive in my humble opinion. The BBQ sauce isn't really anything to write home about. I would say that Off The Hook provides a very solid choice for BBQ in the northland. I like it better than F325 BBQ, Scott's Kitchen, and Wolfpack BBQ. It's similar in level to Char Bar, and maybe Oklahoma Joe's, but falls short to Q39. And I think it still has a way to go to beat Jack Stack BBQ.

It was super saucy (my fav way to eat anything) and tasty. The buttered, toasted bread was fresh and soft with great chew. The slaw was well balanced in flavor. The red snapper was plentiful, fully seasoned, hot and delicious. Along with the fabulous sauce, it was just the tastiest sandwich I've had in a long time. I like Cajun, but I don't usually love it... this place could make me love it. My husband had a cup of gumbo and a cup of seafood jambalaya. We both liked the jambalaya more than the gumbo. They were decent and he liked them but he wasn't blown away. They are solid though. The lemon garlic fries were hot and fresh. I tasted a bit of citrus zing every once in a while. If I didn't know what was on them, I wouldn't say lemon or garlic. I would say they are seasoned fries. And I liked them. Can't wait to try other sides. For the price, it felt a little high, but prices are high everywhere and seafood isn't cheap. The food was hot and fresh and that goes a long way.
