I live 3 hours away and anytime I come to KC I make the hour and a half round trip to this Lions Choice. Their bbq sauce on a ham and cheese sandwich beats the meals of Michelin star restaurants. My daughter has celiac so eating out can sometimes be a challenge for our family. I heard that lions choice was offering gluten-free rice battered chicken tenders for a limited time. We went to this location and asked about this. The girl informed us that they in fact do use a rice flour to coat the chicken tenders and they cook everything separate and separate fryers. They also offer gluten-free buns. So you can order a kids chicken tender meal or a chicken sandwich meal both gluten-free. We were really impressed how knowledgeable and helpful the employees were with us. My daughter loved her sandwich so much that we went back again and she got chicken tenders as well. She did not get sick from Cross-contamination either time. We will keep this on our list for options available since they have a variety of available meals for everyone. read more

A few months ago I was curious on what Lions Choice was, so one afternoon i stopped in, reviewed the menu and got the Roast Beef Sandwich and Mac-n-Cheese. Gotta say this hit the spot, it was Tasty! perfect bun, good meat portion. First off, I'm a mac-n-cheese connoisseur and I order it wherever I go, The type of cheeses, creaminess and noodle ratio is perfect. Its probably one of the best Mac around. The roast beef actually tastes like beef, unlike Arby's where its somewhat bland. I have been back multiple times! I grew up in Saint Louis eating Lion's Choice so I was ecstatic to find a location 35 minutes from where I was staying. When I read the reviews, I had a feeling they were left by people unfamiliar with the brand, and expecting Arby's processed grey substance. I was right! This location is true Lion's Choice! It is awesome! So good that we placed our order, went back for seconds and I had to get 10 sandwiches to go. The staff was super friendly. Checked on us several times to see if we needed anything. I am only in town for a few weeks, but I hope to return for another visit. Ordered takeout from the Liberty location at the inside counter. The order placed included a large turkey with a gluten free bun, fries (also gluten free), and broccoli soup (gluten free), an original roast bead sandwich with cheese sauce and bbq sauce, a large roast beef sandwich with cheese sauce and bbq sauce, a king turkey sandwich with fries and a pulled pork sandwich. The gluten free broccoli soup ended up to be chicken and rice soup (not gluten free) and the two roast beef sandwiches were missing the bbq sauce and were just short of raw. And one of the French fry orders was missing. Not happy campers to say the least. read more

I paid about $14.00 for two sandwiches and a large fry and the sandwiches were bite size. Bought through drive thru and order was correct. the size was equal to or smaller than a White Castle. This place is basically an overpriced, less flavorful Arby's with a severely smaller menu. I ordered the Butcher Block sandwich and my wife had their regular roast beef sandwich with "liquid cheese" added (not the greatest marketing terminology imo) Judging by their photo and description this towering monster of a sandwich, I expected a pretty sizable task in taking this thing on, but was severely underwhelmed when it was just a normal sized sandwich. But whatever, lets taste! Or not taste, because regardless of having 3 meats, cheese, AND sauce, all I could taste was salt. Could barely distinguish the 3 meats apart from each other by anything but appearance, which was pretty laughable the way this thing was put together. Looked like they just tossed a few leftover remnants from the deli tray (see photo). Also, there wasn't even any sauce on my sandwich ( -__-) My wife's roast beef sandwich was completely flavorless and had next to no liquid cheese that I was up charged 40 cents for. The beef itself was pretty gross, had to throw it in the trash. Then there's the fries. Surely I could receive some sort of solace from some tasty fries potatoes right? Nope! So I ordered through Door Dash. I was hoping the sandwiches were as good as the photos. I was very disappointed. The kid's Cub Pork sandwich was so small, it was swamped in the wrapper. It also was wet. Not juicy, it was mushy wet. The veggie sticks it came with had blacked mushy ends on the celery and the single grape tomato was rotten and mushy. Yuck! 49 cents for a tiny cup of ranch dip, like kids wolf down dry veggies. Good thing half the veggies were tossed for being rotten. The adult sandwich, which was a large Butcher Block sandwich, was mostly bread with the largest portion of meat piled in the center. As if people want their first few bites to be just bread. Honestly, the three types of meat tasted the same. The large fries were to be seasoned, I guess that's salt at this place. Finally the drink. How difficult is a large unsweetened tea? First attempt: Regular roast beef sandwich meal - I found the roast beef to be very bland and I'm not one for a lot of seasoning on my food but it had zero flavor. The fries were pretty good. Second attempt: pulled pork meal - pork was in no way pulled more like unevenly chopped (medium to small) and my top bun had green mold.. I wasn't even offered any sauce. Zero stars! We went to the Liberty location at 4pm on a Sunday. We were the only ones in line. We waited over 10 minutes for our cold, awful food. My husband got the Butcher Block and there was SO much horseradish on it it was inedible. Please note, he loves horseradish but after 3 bites it was burning his mouth. He didn't finish it. The fries must have been made when they opened because they were ice cold and soggy. I had the French Dip. My bread was so hard and dry that taking bites out of it felt like glass shards in the roof of my mouth. It was cold and had no flavor. After waiting forever for our food, we had to ask for our drinks before we left. There were no napkins in the bag and I never got my dipping sauce.
