Chicken and avocado salad, side of fruit and chili
Key F.

The food here is really good! I love the sandwiches, soups, and fresh fruit. I haven't tried their baked potatoes, but I'm pretty sure they are good as well. When dining in, you order at the voucher counter then they give you a number for your table abs the bring the food out. Even though the food is good, the service is very, meh. No one is very friendly, no one really smiles, and it's just not a very welcoming environment at least from my experiences in person. Also they are pretty stingy with the crackers for soup. If ever ordering to go or online, make sure they include your pickle spear, if you want one, because every time I have ordered online, I have been cheated out of my pickle and always forgot to look till I was home and it was too late.

Ruben sandwich with pickle and side of chips

Sandwich was piping hot and plenty of corned beef only downfall was the bread was soggy. Sandwich had Great flavor and will be back again.

burnt sandwich

I love McAlisters food but I refuse to keep going and my order being wrong EVERY SINGLE TIME. The food is extremely expensive considering I never get what I order and it is never ready when it is supposed to be. The only thing in my order that was correct was a burnt sandwich.

Whenever I come here I always get the goddess salad and it's always delicious! It's a great spot me and my grandma enjoy going to for lunch. It's healthy and delicious!!

My first time at McAlister's and I was really overwhelmed. There's SO many things on the menu that I didn't even know where to start! From soups, salads, nachos and wraps! I got a salad and a wrap it was really delicious! I wish there was a location in the Northland. The only one I am aware in KC is the one in Liberty. I will definitely have to come back and try all the other things on the menu :)

The New Yorker with Mac and Cheese

Visited this business for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by what I found. This deli is part of the newly updated Liberty Commons shopping center, located in the southeast corner of the intersection of I-35 and Mo 152 Hwy. Making this stop in on a Friday night, in Liberty, when the nearby high school was hosting a football game, I was curious if this business would be slammed. To my delight, the space was about half full. Claiming an occupancy of 150, this deli has an ample number of tables to accommodate single and small parties, plus a few high-top tables for larger groups. Well lit and maintained, the deli has a walk up ordering process. The staff were genuinely friendly and polite. As we entered the building, there were a few patrons in line for ordering. We casually strolled by to get in line and they kindly offered us to move ahead if we were ready to order. As a first visit, the menu is a bit to take in. To break it down, they offer cold and hot sandwiches, salads, baked potatoes, a few appetizers, soups, kids meals, desserts and their famous sweet tea. Thankfully, the staff recognize the menu needs some time to process and they were patient and helpful with any questions. We ordered the New Yorker with a side of mac and cheese, and a California Turkey Ruben and cup of broccoli and cheddar soup as a Choose 2 meal. The orders were busily worked on by the kitchen. There must have been 6 or 8 team members floating about the stations in the back prepping orders. We took a numbered sign to the table and had a short wait of about 7 minutes. The food arrived fresh and hot. The portion size was ideal for the Choose 2 meal. The soup had good flavor and the sandwich was zingy. The New Yorker was hearty! Several layers of corned beef and pastrami nestled between buns. The mac and cheese was creamy. As we waited for our meal to be delivered, we observed this business does offer complimentary refills on soda and tea. Team members circulated to check on patrons and clear tables. There is good parking nearby and the business is easy to get to. They even offer a call ahead order for convenient to go orders. A great addition to the Liberty area.

Early Saturday afternoon i found myself in Liberty and needing a light bite to hold me over for dinner, and realized that they were still around. It truly is amazing that this joint has lasted so long it that location - a one way side street a block from the Historic Liberty Square is certainly not a high traffic or high visibility area. I'm sure the cheap rent has to be a blessing; I only assume that the rent is cheap because the building in ancient, out of the way, decades overdue for a makeover and quite small. I ordered a 1/2 muffaletta sandwich for $5.75 it came with a bag of chips and a pickle spear. Grilled to perfection with plenty of Boars Head meats and olive spread - it was a wonderful panini. I certainly will be returning sooner than 15 years for a larger serving.

We popped in for lunch and had an Italian sub and a Reuben. I liked the Reuben was better - maybe…read morebecause it was served hot? Or because it was a bigger portion? The service was nothing noteworthy- just a gal making the sandwiches one at a time. I was glad we were first in line during the time we were there. With only one person working, it took awhile for some people to get their food. The set up is just a small deli counter and a few bistro tables. If I went back, I'd likely get it to go and eat outside nearby.

I came today to get a tuna sandwich, but I saw that they have a new Gyro so I decided to change it up a bit. The young lady working the register with tattoos was really pleasant, welcoming, and gave me great recommendations on what to get. The Greek Gyro itself was SO GOOD! I added a little extra tzatziki, but the meat was flavorful and tender, crispy vegetables, and the sauce was delicious. Overall, highly recommend recommended this location and this sandwich!

While waiting for my order, I was leaning against the wall near the kitchen walkway, with part of one foot slightly inside the hallway leading to the prep area. Danielle asked me, in what I felt was an unnecessarily harsh tone, what I was doing. I explained that I was simply waiting for my sandwiches, which were actively being prepared. She then told me, "You have to get out of my kitchen -- you are a health code violation." I immediately moved back and laughed off the situation, as I was barely inside the walkway. However, she repeated herself again in an aggressive manner, despite the fact that I had already moved away. When my order was ready, the bag of sandwiches was thrown at me. This is not an exaggeration. Thrown! I then asked for her name, and she responded sarcastically, "You wish I'd give you my name." At that point, I requested to speak with a manager. Unfortunately, I cannot recall the manager's name, but she handled the situation professionally and respectfully. She listened to my concerns and assured me she would address the matter. However, as the interaction concluded, Danielle told me, "Get out of here, bitch." I strongly encourage management to review the video footage from approximately 1:00 PM today at that location. She was loud and the entire restaurant heard this embarrassing exchange. I have always been a loyal Jimmy John's customer and generally enjoy the brand and service experience. That is why this interaction was especially disappointing. Employees in customer-facing roles should be trained to communicate professionally and respectfully, even when addressing minor issues.
