The bad at this location is that when they mess up on your burger they mumble in Spanish that it was made right. I literally ordered a triple and got a double and when I inquired about my burger there was never a "sorry" or "we will make it right". Instead it was a "no we did 3 patties" at that point, i asked for a refund because as a customer i will not be called a liar nor do I want upset workers making my food after they messed up and are not happy. Our My family visited Five Guys in the Legends on 9/27. Very disappointed with our experience. Prices have soared. My daughter and I got a little cheeseburger and shared it. My grandson got a grilled cheese. The cheeseburger was no better than a Culvers and actually smaller. The grilled cheese is on a small bun and not worth the over $5 price tag. A childrens menu is advertised on some Five Guys ads but this location does not have one. Also, although combos are being tested in other Five Guys locations, this is not one of them. Its been a long time since I ate here and I won't be back. The only good feature about this locations is that the one woman who is working to clean the eating area did an outstanding job. Ordered around 8:15pm on Friday 7/2/21, and boy was that a mistake. The order was "guaranteed" for pickup in 8-10 minutes and we wound up waiting 45 minutes in person, AFTER waiting to arrive for 10 minutes so the order would be done. At this point, my partner has asked 3 times about the ETA for our order, and our kids are starving and starting to cry. The food was fine (read: bland and lacking salt), but everything was cold because - get this - after asking for the staff to check on our order multiple times, the rude guy working the pickup counter looked up, saw the fries sitting there with my partner's name on it, and handed them to someone else to give to her without so much as an apology. Other weird things included the sole female staff member going around and locking all of the doors so that no more customers could get in, ironically thus locking all the existing customers inside and creating an insane fire hazard. read more

Yup, I'll admit it. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The "little" sizes for burgers and fries is the right amount of food so I don't know how anyone can eat the regular. And better yet, all the burger topping choices are free! The fries are a bit greasy... Not soggy, but pretty greasy. So much that you can see the grease slowly turn the paper bag transparent. The soda dispensing machine is pretty cool. I first saw one of them when I was in London, and although it is very cool, it takes people a bit longer to get their drinks since it gives them too many options! Good or bad? We decided to check out a Sporting KC game on a Saturday....that was our first mistake. Eating at Five Guys was our second.... Our original plan was Yard House but they were on an hour and half wait...we really thought we gave ourselves enough time. We finally found a parking spot and the closest food was Five Guys...a few years ago I ate Five Guys while I was living in Pittsburgh, PA and woke up throwing up after so I hadn't been back since. We decide to give it a try, the line is not too long when we walk in and we get our order in quickly. We go with the "bunless" version since you all know I am allergic to Gluten. We wait about 15 minutes and they call our order # out. Tables are not cleaned in between guests, ick! We get our order and eat, they didn't make our burgers right but we were so hungry at this point we didn't care. The line at this point is almost to the door and not moving quickly. Fries are ok, they get old quick due to being fried peanut oil-they are almost too rich. We could have easily shared a small fry instead of sharing a regular. About 3 hours later my stomach is turning and I feel sick again and am sick all night. They must put something in their meat-I am done with this place. read more

The sandwich was large and overflowing with all kinds of veggies, mayo, and cheese. It was actually pretty darn good. However, the fries were probably my favorite part. Fries come cajun or regular, if it's your first time I'd go cajun seasoned fries and grab some free peanuts to snack on. The laziest and worst customer service I have experienced. My card had an issue swiping. The cashier turns around and speaks Spanish to her manager. . Imagine that a manager that cannot communicate with the customers at all. The manager shakes her head and the cashier tells me that if my card cannot swipe then she can't take my order . What an appropriately named place! Sure, they might serve BLTs and hot dogs, but 99.5% of people I assume are coming here for burgers and fries. And I think for them, 3 Stars is pretty much perfect, because they're A-OK. I have to admit that I am a fan of a grease-bomb burger, so this was a pretty satisfying meal. For you people in the know of KC restaurants, I'd put this on par with Town Topic or LC's rather than a BRGR, Beer Kitchen or Blanc. There aren't a ton of options beyond the traditional burger toppings, though they do have jalopenos, which I think is as exotic as they get. But if you want a gut bomb bacon cheeseburger, they've got it. And honestly, don't we all occasionally want a gut bomb bacon cheeseburger? Fry portions were huge, but they weren't very good. Soggy and bland. Maybe next time I'll try the cajun fries. Yeah they have free peanuts, but who cares? Not I said the Matt. Bonus points for having one of those super duper soda machines with 1,000,000 options. I still go for Coke Zero, but it's good to know that you can probably get something like a diet strawberry Fanta with vanilla syrup. I will say that I think the food took quite a while for how basic it is, and the fact that making these grease bombs is all that they do. PLUS, two bacon cheese burgers, one order of fries and two small sodas came to like $23. That's pretty ridiculous in my book. If one was closer to me, I'd say I'd go there to help combat hangovers. Good, not great. I think 3.5 stars is definitely more accurate for Five Guys. The positives are they load up your burger with anything you want, no cost added, so I can get things like grilled onions and mushrooms free, whereas most places charge a bit extra. And their fries may as well be unlimited because they shove about half of Idaho's potatoes in there. On the down side, the wait is a little too long for a fast food joint. I understand things are cooked to order but even so, I feel like my wait should fall somewhere between the length of time it would take at a McDs and the length of time it would take at Blanc. At 15 minutes, it probably fell around the time that it would take at Blanc and the burger wasn't even that tasty. This was my first experience at a Five Guys and i must say it was pretty decent. Ordered: Cheeseburger (with everything) Price: $5.80 Ambiance: This place is highly reminiscent of inn-n-out on the west coast but it's just like any other fast food burger joint. I did enjoy the fact that there was a sign telling you which farm they got your potatoes from that day. There are also boxes/bag of potatoes, peanut oil, and other things near the counter, kind of showing off the ingredients they use. Service: Friendly and got my food within 7 minutes so no complaints here. Food: The best thing about Five Guys is getting your food as it is all served to-go style in a paper bag. I was expecting to find a nice flat cylindrical wrapped package but was pleasantly surprised to find that I got a giant rounded cube instead. It's always a good sign when your burger is as tall as it is wide. My burger was STUFFED with toppings and two hearty patties. I really appreciated that they included mushrooms in their toppings for no additional charge. I thoroughly enjoyed these toppings as you could taste the grilled onions, mushrooms, and cheese. The problem I had with my burger was that they did not adequately salt the patty to bring out the full flavor of the meat, which should be the foundation of any great burger. The other problem was the buns which really need to be larger/thicker to compensate for the tons of stuff sandwiched between them. They end up getting compressed and soggy, becoming more of nuisance than contributing anything meaningful to the burger. People who have had a lightly-buttered griddle-toasted bun from inn-n-out know the satisfying and savory crunch the buns have when you bite into them. This is just my personal preference however and the salt thing could have just been the guy on patty-duty that day. Overall Five Guys is a solid burger choice as long as your expectations are appropriate. They're not fighting for the title of 'best gourmet burger' but they add gourmet elements to what is essentially a really solid fast food burger. They're not stingy at all and cook all your food to order so it's fresh and hot when you get it. I would gladly eat here again but wouldn't go out of my way to do so. read more

After hearing from my friends over and over about how good Five Guys was, I finally dined on some last week. So how was it, well lets go over the pros and cons. Pros: The Guy behind the counter who took my order was very friend and unusally enthusiastic than I've seen other fast food workers. I had ordered my burger with jalapenos and he caution me than their peppers were sliced fresh and might be too intense. Pah! I can handle the heat. Their portion of fries were very generous, they were overflowing out of their container and into the bag, and with numerous free toppings, there are thousands of custom burger creations that one can make. Cons: As Rodney Dangerfield once said, "The food aint' great but the portions are terrific!" This describes their fries. Overly season and mushy, I expect a good set of fries to be lightly toasty on the outside and soft on the inside. These were just soft, but this is just a minor nitpick, where Five Guys really dropped the ball is their prices. For a quarter pound burger (with free toppings) fries and drink, it was 11 dollars and change. I would expect a lot more from my burger for that price. I can go to any chain steakhouse and get a bigger burger, fries and drink for almost the same price. So while the burger was tasty, for what I paid, I would expect a lot more. So, if it wasn't for the price, I would say Five Guys is a decent place but as is, it just was too expensive and a little underwhelming. read more
