Yes, 5 stars for what it is. This isn't a Johnson County fine dining place. But it has a better hamburger and faster service, so the snackle box gets 5 stars. Tbh heard Johnny Dare 98.9 morning show talking about it. He isn't wrong, great burger!!! Just a little food shack at the marina. The single greeter, waitress, cook, cashier, and busboy was a delightful lady. She took time to cover my daughters request and earned 2 thumbs up from my picky 7 year old eater. Again, 5 stars!!! We both got the "cheesy burger" hers plain with waffle fries. Mine with everything and crispy tots. She even pulled the basket up to see if they were crispy enough or if I wanted them back down for another minute. They were perfect!! Hamburger was fresh ball pressed on flattop right in front of us. Very flavorful, even my daughter spent her time eating the edges first. They were a little crispy but not burnt that great flattop crispness. Patty was still plenty think not squashed like other places. I will have to come back for the taco night since the burger was so good!! Great spot for a really great burger. If you enjoy the outdoors and casual dining experience this is a great place. They even have live band some nights. Very peaceful setting facing the lake. The food was simple, but fantastic. Amazing food, the burgers are so good and fresh. They bring out a ball of burgers and put them in a buttered flat top grill and sear away with high heat. Everything was incredibly good. The chef and the lady taking the order were so much fun. It's a tiny place with only about 10 seats so get in while you can. There is lots of outdoor seating as well with an amazing view of Wyandotte Lake. Check it out. You'll understand why there are 5 stars. read more

This was some of the best food I have ever had at a restaurant. it's a hidden gem it's reserved a place in my top 5 favorite sit down restaurants. the burger just melted in my mouth no effort at all and it was just crispy enough but not too crispy. seating was peak seating. Came out here for a random Tuesday Bike Night apparently they occasionally put on; stayed too late listening to the live music, then tried to leave and got mesmerized by the scenic landscape as I was enjoying the twistys way too much, and wound up back at the bar, had a few more then jumped on the scoot and did it again. Think I watched a movie about an interdimensional time-loop lake movie on Netflix once, pretty sure this was the location. Anyways, the food was bomb, the staff was awesome, and this place has one of the best atmospheres in town, being this old stone structure nestled into the forest. Nice view. The food is good too. The service is great. You can eat inside or enjoy the lake view from the patio. The server brought out food out to us and took orders and refills. The bees and flies were the only part of our visit that was Intolerable. They were bad on the patio, but that is to be expected when you sit outside. Move over Sauced and Lunch Box East Bottoms as the most hidden burger stand; Snackle Box is not only remotely hidden, it's in an idyllic setting. Just minutes from Legends or I-435, it seems miles and decades from the urban rat race. It rests on Wyandotte Park Lake inside of a refurbished 1942 built Boathouse. The stone structure is next to the fishing piers and boat docks with an indoor counter seating and an outdoor patio for warmer weather. Unless you are familiar with this area, you will need GPS to get your Snackle on. The owner (Amanda -I think) was extremely hospitable and her son was cooking up a mean fresh meat thick cheeseburger. Grilled right in front of me, it was seared well, slightly charred with juicy interior and melty cheddar. No frills, just a perfectly executed old fashioned burger. A limited menu but serving breakfast and weekday specials. This will be a great option for a quick lakeside dining experience when you don't have the ability or time to head to the Ozarks. read more

We loved the Snackle Box. We went here spontaneously after a brief trip to the Legends. We had no idea what to expect and it was a great surprise! We walked over the footbridge from the big parking lot because we had no clue where we were. It was fun. We weren't in a hurry and we'd never been near the lake before. There are maybe 15 seats in this diner-like space. The grill is behind the counter, so you get to watch your food being prepared. The woman who cooked it works her butt off! We both had burgers, which were exactly as we ordered and tasty. There was a sizable portion of perfectly-cooked tater tops and my husband had fries, which also were delicious. They have a soda fountain if you're into that instead of bottles/cans. Love that there's Diet Dr. Pepper. The service was great--fast and friendly. Right off the bat the service was amazing & continued the entire time we were there. Very polite, gave great recommendations, & checked in on us after food was served. The food was delicious! This place is an absolute hidden gem. I imagine that unless you boat here you might never come across this spot. We actually found it on a whim because we were golfing not too far and I saw a little spot right by the lake that looked like an interesting place to check out for lunch. It already had a few great reviews about the burgers so I figured we'd give it a shot. It definitely did not disappoint. The food here taste genuinely homemade (and not like a diner overly greasy but kind of homemade feeling.) The burgers here taste just like the ones we make it home. The ingredients are fresh and they have these amazing seasonal seasoned french fries. I cannot say enough good things about the food. In addition to great food, the service is also wonderful. Multiple times we've already come and we've had different employees attend to us. They've all been very attentive and the food has been FAST. If you're thinking about checking out this spot, get to it! read more

If you like the outdoors, this is the place for you. The Snackle Box is a fairly new restaurant located at Wyandotte County Lake. Outdoor seating provides a very peaceful and scenic place to grab a bite to eat. (There is some seating inside, if outside dining isn't your thing.) The staff is friendly, efficient, and eager to provide excellent service. While there, I had the grilled chicken sandwich with waffle fries. It was excellent! (I wish I had thought to take a pic.) The burger and onion rings looked good too. The prices are good and the food was delicious! An enjoyable, casual, and tranquil dining experience.
