Watching Sophia Nails grow over the years has been an absolute joy, and one thing that has never changed is the quality--they never disappoint. The work is always flawless. From my nails to my pedicures, everything is done to perfection. The entire staff is kind, professional, and incredibly talented. When I walk out, I feel like a beauty queen every single time! A decent place to get your nails done on a Sunday. I showed up right when they opened and got right in. They have books to flip through that show available nail colors, but they are an unknown brand. I always opt for OPI, but you have to have an idea of what color you want since they don't have color books of those options. They had signs hanging in store about masks being required and temperatures being taken, but that did not happen in the hour I was there. They even had employees walking around with no masks. Plus, even though it appeared they did have something to sterilize tools, my nail tech only sprayed alcohol on his when I questioned where he got them from. My technician did do a good job, however, and was open to my input when I wanted my nails a bit shorter and a third coat on the light color. I feel my nails came out nicely, and while I wish the shop was a bit more sanitary, I would go back. read more

The only thing negative is the the prices on wall sign is not what we were quoted up front. Be sure you understand the cost for what your getting! My wife and I came in and got our toes done with gel. Total cost for one $40. They got us in and out within an hour. They didn't have to remove any paint so I can see why it was faster but they still worked very diligently. I absolutely LOVED the welcoming feeling they gave and my toes were very well painted and cleaned up. I don't know why they have low stars. This place use to do a fantastic job. Last 2 times I've gone, its been very disappointing. They have been doing a sloppier paint job, dont paint the full nail, or remove excess paint. I could have done a better job. Wont be back. read more

Super nice!! Called 40 minutes before closing to see if they could take off a set and do a new set and they said yes!! Usually salons don't take in walk ins that close to closing but I'm so thankful they did. She was super nice and suggested we do ombré and my nails are so nice!! They're not chunky at all which is a relief !! And they're the perfect coffin shape !!! Will come back soon. Thank you guys so much The price was not bad at all either!!! This place is EXTREMELY unprofessional. First, the lady that did my nails was super rude the entire time by talking SUPER loud in her native language with the rest of the workers. They also had the TV and the radio all in their language with no subtitles in English. Again, not a big deal but just not customer focused. Then the lady was upset when I wanted to see the second book of shellac colors and pick between two different ones. Also, they weren't busy I was the only other customer besides one other lady. The place is NOT clean. When I walked in two employees were WASHING the disposable "sandals" that other salons give the customer to take home. This is disgusting and beyond dirty. They should be fined just for that alone. Will never return. read more

Dude writing a review on a nails place? Yup... read on. So, I'l begin by saying I have Army feet. They have also been called T-Rex talons. Just like the aforementioned kind of the angry lizards, I apparently kick, claw, stab and draw blood with my T-Rex talons in my sleep, so I'm a nice guy and get the talons put into check now and then. There was no wait and they had no problems with me being a walk in. I also like the fact that you don't get "the look" being a guy and walking into a nail place. It appears they have water and what looks like tea in some cooler, but none was offered to me. I had a Monster in my hand anyways, so at least I wasn't going to die of dehydration. The foot service was relaxing, and I actually found myself dozing off at one point staring at their little hand-waving becoming cats located on the counter; that is until they used that cheese grater thing on the bottom of my feet. I had to suppress the urge to giggle like a little girl and pull my foot out of the poor woman's hands. Bonus: the pedicure comes with a great foot and lower leg massage. That almost put me back to sleep. Bonus x2: they had some incense burning in this shrine looking thing, and it smelled good. No one likes bad incense. read more

This place is the worst! Tried a few times. Especially the girl that sits right in the front! maybe she is the manager? she is extremely rude ! she rushes you, gets angry if you don't pick a color fast enough. We will never return to this place again ...it's a joke and a waste of money! read more

One lady in particular is extremely rude. The man is also rude. I highly don't recommend this place. If you don't know there language then you will never know how bad they will talk about you. Also she's blantently said "oh now she wants this" when I explained earlier that I did anyway. As soon as I tipped her and the actual nice lady. As well as said I'm not fluent in their language. There entire tone changed. Please stay away from this place. read more

Always do a great job. I have been a client for over 5 years. I love their Deluxe Pedicures they are relaxing and you feel pampered. They have a huge selection of nail polishes for manicures, dip or gel. They usually have the tv on with music videos. read more

Ive been coming here for years now. I see Jessica for my dip and she's amazing! She's able to give me the shape that I want and always make sure I'm happy with the shape and length. They have a large color selection as well! Lynn is my favorite for pedicures shes very detailed with my cuticles and my feet always look and feel great. read more

ANN is the only person I let do my nails there. She does amazing gel manicures. I haven't found a place that I love for pedicures yet. It seems like everyone in Tampa is overly aggressive with the nail cutters so I'm not getting pedicures anymore. I do have very sensitive skin so my issue with the "aggressiveness" is probably not an issue for most people. Definitely see Ann for manicures...she's really, really good. I've never had gel polish last even a week but when she does it, I can go 3 weeks. That's amazing for me. There's also a woman and a man that are booked solid for acrylics if that's your thing. They do great work....I've looked and they seem to be very fast. read more

First and last time. Came in for a basic manicure. No cuticle oil on my nails, no lotion or massage after the manicure, and the paint job was sub-par. The morning after I got my nails done, every nail is chipped. I gave them a 2, only because the nail tech was pleasant. read more

Tanya the owner does my nails...I have to say I'm so glad I found this shop. I moved to Tampa 3 years ago and it took me just that long to find someone to do my nails right...sad but true...Tanya is amazing..not only is she fast, but she listens to what u want, and makes sure you're happy... I have only gone a few times so far but every time I've come in they're quick to sit me down. They have a wide variety of nail colors from regular polish to gel & etc. Last time I went I got gel & I can already see a difference in how my nails & color hold up. The prices are affordable & the quality is wonderful. They also gave me some tips into how to take better care of my nails. The staff is very kind & welcoming. They did a great job on my mani/pedi. I got gel nails and a regular pedicure. Was very happy at the fact that getting my gel nails was not painful (I've had a couple bad experiences), and they also took their time with me, even on a busier day than usual. I loved the fact that my regular pedicure came with a foot/leg massage. I will defiantly be back! read more

I'm very picky about nail salons, and have been searching for a good one in the area. This one was clean and the staff was pleasant. I watched the nail techs clean the foot baths between customers which is always a plus. The only negative thing was they have all of their tools soaking in disinfectant but i didn't not see an autoclave (my preference, like i said I'm picky). Other than that it was a good experience overall and i will be returning in the future. read more

After bouncing around several places in Tampa, Sophia Nails has become our go to place for pedicures. We try to avoid peak times, and in three visits we have not had to wait yet to get a chair. Tons of color choices, and they have OPI and China Glaze if your a fan of those brands (which I am). Yes, they do the leg rub. I knew they must be good when on my first visit I sat next to big construction worker guy. He told me they eliminate his "knarly work boot feet". I almost hate to recommend them out of fear they will get too crowded, but seriously, I just want them to stick around. Tip well, because you can't beat the price. read more

The salon is very small and there was a long wait. I felt like it was not the cleanest salon. It was cheap though, so I feel like you get what you pay for. The lady was very nice, but didn't speak much English, so it was hard to understand her. I think she did a good job on my gel manicure, toe polish change, and eyebrows. She was accommodating and helpful with picking the color I was looking for. I paid $40 for everything, which is very cheap compared to other salons I have been to in the past. Hidden gem! Everyone here is awesome, but Tanya is the absolute best. She's fast and efficient. My nails look perfect every time. I've been coming to her here for over 2 years now. They really take care of the customers. I bring my 3 year old daughter from time to time,they all adore her and help keep her entertained. Pedicures are long, they take the time on the best parts.
