I went to this nail salon for almost 8 years, about 2 years ago they were bought out from their original owners & have never been the same. Qualify has gone down extremely, & prices tripled. If you used to come here because the vibe was incredible, and the prices were cheap, don't make the mistake in coming back!!!! The new owners also don't respect appointment times or yours if we are going to be real. If you called in and made an appointment, and a walk-in comes in two minutes before you they will take the walk-in before you every time. HORRIBLE!!! The main lady (I believe owner) is so rude and they do not hang a price list so that she can change her price each time. Two weeks ago I got a nail fixed and it was $5, today she charged me $7 for the same nail fix. When I asked her why it was more expensive this time, she got rude with me. They do good work but not very clean. This may vary from tech to tech. I was very disappointed to see the pedicure tech who did my pedicure was using tools on me that were kept in a draw (scrub brushes, files, toes separators) not new for each customer. He rinsed them off in the tub when he was done and tossed them back in the drawer. Even more startling is he opened what appeared to be a sterile seal pack for the stainless steel instruments, but at the end of pedicure he sprayed them with alcohol put them back in the sterile envelope and pressed to reseal it. I didn't say anything because I don't like to make a scene. I just will not return for pedicure. There acrylic work is good and they have a good color variety. read more

There was only 3 techs working so I had to wait and there was no way to make an appointment before hand. My nail tech was very focused and made sure my nails were perfect. I am obsessed with my nails!! I just heard that this place was less expensive so I was surprised when my nails were $65 without tip. The expensive nail places I've been to in tampa had the same prices. Overall I would give them a 4/5 but I will update with how they last. read more

I have been going to the Daba Nails for over 5 years. So I am familiar with the previous owners and staff and now the new owners and staff. The previous owners and staff were terrific, took their time, always felt I was their main focus, the pricing was always reasonable, and I always left loving my nails every single time. I have gone to the new owner and staff now three times since they took over. I figured I would give them three tries to really get a good feeling of their quality, pricing, and overall customer service. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. All three times I got the exact same service (seriously nothing was different, even the same color polish) and the cost was different each time. The quality overall was not great, for example, each time I went I had an older gentleman doing my pedicure, and each time I would have to check my nails after and have him redo or fix something. And even when I get home I just ended up fixing either the polish or cutting them or filing them. As far as my manicure, I also had the same young woman. Her focus was never on me, never, she was constantly running off to do something else, answer the phone, someone else's nails, etc. Yes, she would actually start working on someone else's nails in the middle of her doing mind. She would just get up and leave and not even say why. It was weird! And this didn't happen just once. I can understand multitasking but this was extreme. Because of this last time I was there for two hours, all I got was a pedicure and manicure! And I could tell, these other women and services were just walk-ins they did not have appointments or call ahead. It's unfortunate because this place is convenient but has gone way downhill. I went to Daba Nail today first time in 2 years since they have new owners. I normally go to another salon but my nail tech was sick today and I very much needed to get my nails done before noon today. Big Mistake. The girl who did my nails was rude from the time I sat down in the chair. She was loud and abrupt. She asked me what color as I sat in the chair. I said a light pink like the one i had on. She brought over samples and i kept glancing at them as she started on my nails. I was browsing through some very beautiful colors imagining what it would look like on me. She yell and said "I thought you knew your color".. " I stated, I like to browse through the colors". She was rude and loud through the process. I finally told her she was rude. She never even asked me how i like the shape of my nails. I was concerned about some discoloration and asked her if I should take the nail off. She replied loudly, "I dont know". I work hard every day and when I get a day off I like to treat myself to either a pedicure or a fill, and I want to feel good and relaxed, not on edge at some mean nasty, loud, jumpy nail tech. I will NEVER go there again. I can see why there was only one customer as I walked in today. She has probably run everyone off. read more

The staff are very pleasant and friendly, but their work is not too good. Their prices are cheap but I'd rather pay extra for my nails to last. These nails are only 6 days old and already 3 have cracked (so unusual for my nails to break). Also the polish job on top of the acrylic fill was rushed and messy. read more

I HAD been going to Daba for over a decade. You could call ahead to find out if they were busy because they accept walk-ins. The atmosphere was friendly and everybody knew each other. It was sort of clean. Then, the business was sold to a new owner who is ALL business. He has added more nail techs (good), renovated the salon (it needed it), raised the prices (blaming the pandemic) and lies when you call to ask if they're busy. Twice he has said, "come in now." The wait can be 1-3 hours. Plus, the service is NOT what it used to be. Sadly, I have to find a new salon. Bye, Bye, Daba. Fun while it lasted. read more

Not extremely familiar with the area but this place was closest to home figured I'd give it a shot. Service was fast since I was the only one there. There were two women doing my massages on my hands during my manicure and one lady who did all of my pedicure. I felt like a queen for a short amount of time. Tammy did an amazing job on my pink and white acrylics! I have been going to the same nail salon for 10 years and my girl moved away unexpectedly. It took me 3 months and 5 different nail salons to find someone who could actually do good acrylics (I didn't realize it would be such a hard task but I guess gel nails rule the world now so people are out of practice). I am soooo impressed with Tammy! She is very fast, it took about 40 mins for her to do a nail repair and pink and white fill. She listened to exactly what I wanted (I like very short nails and the acrylic to be on the thick side because they last longer) and made my nails look better then they did before. These ladies are pretty good at what they do as long as they are not slammed and have to rush through their work. I went here for a while but just stopped because they were busy all the time. I appreciate their willingness to take in as many customers as possible but it makes for longer waits in between different services. For example they would sit me in a chair for my pedi and one would begin by the time i was done the other 2 were working on different manicures so i would have to wait etc. Maybe they need more staff? read more

Overall, good experience. My biggest complaint is that I wish my pedicure lasted longer! It was so relaxing and felt great. The lady was nice and made me feel special. Only other minor thing is that the massaging chairs were automatic so you can't control the length or style of massage like you can at other places.
