Love this place! Quality work and family owned! I always have a great experience and don't feel rushed!

I have not had a bad mani or pedi yet. It can be hit or miss at salons depending on who does your nails, but here, each tech has consistently done a decent to great job. It may not be the most luxurious salon, but it's clean and they have comfortable massage chairs ... also thankful there's no offensive chemical odor when you enter either. There are usually chairs open or just a short wait, but you can also reserve services, which comes in handy for time crunches or if you come in with friends or family and want to sit together. My fav salon around town for sure. read more

K Nails & Spa - Polish change with OPI - Nail Salons Near Me - Tampa, Florida

Tried this location based on reviews. It was very crowded for a Tuesday late afternoon (445p). Parking was scarce. The walls could use some mirrors to make the place not look so cramped but it would also take the removal of pedi chairs to assist. Approx 15 pedi chairs take up every wall space there is. The ladies are extremely pleasant and welcoming. I was happy to see a price list for transparency at the front counter. They do accept tips on card payments. Only suggestion I would make is to place the color palette (polish choices) in the front instead of walking through cramped aisles to get to the back to pick out nail polish. Wendy provided great service but overall the entire space is very suffocating. read more

K Nails & Spa - This place needs to be shut down - Nail Salons Near Me - Tampa, Florida

Extremely unprofessional operation. Appointment times are not respected, the space is overcrowded, loud and chaotic, and basic hygiene standards are not followed. Equipment was not properly disinfected between clients, which is a serious safety concern. Staff appears undertrained, and disengaged. Do NOT recommend going here if you are looking for a professional, clean and relaxing experience. read more

This place does major volume in south Tampa-- but that doesn't guarantee a good or a safe experience. I am the latest among my friends to be physically damaged by one of the young staff at this K Nails. So far there's blood, but no infection. I'm still having burning pain when I walk. The staff is uneven in experience and there is no supervision. There also don't appear to be any standards for how things are done. One visit the Polish is applied with a lecture about how "Essie polish doesn't need a base coat" and the next time it does need a base coat and they leave unpainted strips up the sides of all the nails. Of concern is that there is ZERO sanitizing equipment in sight, and you will see that NO ONE opens sanitized instruments before doing your manicure/pedicure. NO ONE! The complete lack of sanitation is shocking. It doesn't help that most of the women do not speak English, so when you say "do not cut my cuticles" or "please don't use the sanding block" you need to repeat yourself 3-4 times so they will stop doing what you asked them not to do. This week the person who did my pedicure scraped off so many layers of skin from the bottom of both feet they started to bleed. Bloody and burning. All they did was give me bandaids when I brought it to their attention (!!!!!!) and then they asked for my credit card. No apology, no expression of concern. Has fear of litigation driven all common courtesy and humanity out of human interactions?? I could barely hobble to my car. It was days of wearing thick socks and padded insoles before the pain began to lessen. A friend reminded me she once asked for eyebrow waxing, and the wax was so hot it burned her forehead and when the scab cleared she still had faint marks. Needless to say she is not a client now. Another had gel tips applied, and each nail was a different length and shape! There are plenty of nail places out there. Get another recommendation from a trusted friend and avoid this place like the plague. read more

Love this Salon! It was my first time here and I'll be back for sure. Very efficient, lots of chairs, reasonably priced and good quality. My pedicure is as done by Jenny and let me tell you I was in heaven! She took her time and did an amazing job, felt like a true spa experience. I got a full set with gel polish from Kelly, probably the best I've ever had! Her attention to detail was A+. I was in a little bit of a Time crunch and she made sure I was finished in time. My favorite place to get my nails done when you want a good mani and/or pedi and aren't doing the full spa services. They are always busy but find ways to get you in right away as a walk in (can make appointments). The staff is always friendly and recognize you (I only get my toes done monthly & nails sporadically). The work is well done. My toes last for the month with minimal to no chipping. When I get my hands done it's usually gel as I do it for special occasions or if I'm traveling and lasts for 3-4 weeks at least. Prices are Vet reasonable and you can add to the regular if you want something specific but not the deluxe ($67 for mani (gel) & pedi deluxe) read more

I've been coming to K nails for about a year and seeing Vanny. She's so sweet and so detail oriented. She's always smiling and my Dip nails have never looked better. I'm pretty hard on my hands and since I've been seeing vanny I've never had an issue! Her pedicures are so thorough and I love how shiny my toes are when she's done. If I could Give more stars I would. Lynn, the owner is usually there and she's always very nice and friendly. I love coming to K nails because I know not only will I be greeted with a smile but I will leave with amazing nails! They use high quality products and always have the newest OPI colors read more

I recently moved to the area and tried K nails and spa. I have now been back 3 times total. I've had different technicians every time and get the same great service with everyone. I decided to completely change the shape of my nail and try a new color and Benny was so nice, accommodating and helped with suggestions. Hope gave a KILLER leg/foot massage. It's definitely a busy and louder salon but still relaxing. Found my new nail place for sure. I wish they used new tools each client but they do sanitize them. read more

The shellac on my daughter's nails came off after one day. We were on vacation so couldn't get back to see them until day 7. Shellac is supposed to last longer than a week and they refused to repaint them. I spent $250 for several of us to get our nails done when we were there. This was my go to nail salon. I will no longer be a customer. Super disappointing. read more

BUYER BEWARE! I've been going to this nail salon on and off for 10 years now, and I've been waiting a while to write a review since I recently started returning, and I can't regret it enough. It used to be (6-ish years ago) a decent salon. Going now feels like a chore: INSANE loud/crowded atmosphere that is anything but relaxing. Prices change as you sit in the chair and make the should-be-relaxing event into one that feels like a scam. Once I asked for a different color for each nail, and the price increased $25! (keep in mind they said "5 extra for the design" when I showed this design at the beginning). I've watched their prices rise over the years with a clear decrease in customer service and quality. I hit my final straw at being charged to fix an acrylic with gel that lifted over half the nail's length in about a week (which cost $75 originally!), a service the salon had not previously charged me for if the incident happened within a 2 week period. When questioned, the woman essentially said the poor quality was "my fault" when i asked why pay for gel if it doesn't last the 2 weeks they advertised...So, I've now paid $80 for acrylics, without extensions, simply painted with a gel color...that lasted 1.5 weeks. Not to mention that you never see anyone pull out a sterile tool or clean theirs. I've seen residue from other people's nails on many of the files and OTHER PEOPLE'S CUTICLES on clippers used. Gross, and can cause diseases, which I know some customers have complained about. These employees are rude to customers as well, even as they try to scam up the prices - so save your money, time, and headache, and start exploring other salons in Tampa, because I know I will. read more

I had a wonderful experience at K Nails today! I went in for a pedicure and a little me time relaxing. At first look I thought the spa pedicure was a bit pricey at $25 but again I was looking to treat myself so I decided on the deluxe spa pedicure for $35. I wish I knew the ladies name who was giving me the pedicure. I told her that I was in need of relaxation and wanted a massage more than a pedicure. She was so sweet, she massaged my feet and legs every time she got a chance with each different product they put on during the deluxe pedicure. My nails looked fantastic too! I will definitely visit again, it is not the least expensive nail salon in town but she won my business again! read more

This place is absolutely incredible. I have had a wonderful experience every time I've come, and the one time I didn't, the manager stepped in, took over, and gave me the prettiest nails I've ever had! He even informed me on proper and improper techniques that are used, and what to avoid for my own specific nails, since they're so thin. Moral of the story, this place NEVER disappoints. Been going to this shop for over a decade. Always great service. Caring staff. Lots of options for colors. Reliable.

I've been looking for a new nail salon to go to and was directed towards both K Nails and another. Due to proximity I decided K Nails. The ambience was absolutely great and they got me in at a very quick timing which was wonderful. The only reason I take away a star was the direction of pricing was not clear. They failed to mention there's new prices (only a few $ more so not upset) - but also If I hadn't asked I would not have known. read more

Place was really crowded and unorganized. My pedicure was fine, nothing fantastic. Paid the same price at other places and got way better treatments. The lady cut me so bad I am feeling it the past two days. Not only did she cut the shit out of my cuticle, the place also charged me for it. Wack. I'm hoping my finger doesn't get infected. Normally I get like a little dot cut but this is clearly like 1/4 inch long cut. read more

This place is wonderful. While it is always busy, the staff never rushes their work, and they work hard. I've been coming here for 2 years now. Usually I get a manicure and a pedicure to help me chew my nails less. Fingernails. Not toenails. Heh. Ok, so I get a manicure. It's less than $20. It makes my hands feel and look good. Clear polish or a buff. Lasts 2-3 weeks. And the pedicure rocks the most. I go deluxe, with the lemon scent. I like citrus. It includes a wonderful lower leg massage. It always picks me up, even after a long day. Like today. For about $30. And I always tip a bunch. These ladies are terrific. They take their time. They talk some. Not too much. They massage my tired feet. And make my hands look not so chewed up. read more

While the service day of was alright, the quality is disappointing. I had a shellac manicure and basic pedicure done last Monday, just a week ago yesterday. Multiple nails have peeled off and the rest are either chipped or beginning to peel off as well. My pedicure is chipped, but I didn't expect much with the regular polish. Very frustrating that I spent $57 + a 20% tip for a shellac manicure to last not even a full week. I will not be going back to this salon. read more

After hearing great things about this salon I was excited to try it out. Sadly, it seems that i came in on the wrong day. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure and i felt as though i was in a d out, quite rushed actually. My tech rush through my cuticles that actually had to ask her many time to go back and clean them up. My gel manicure was one of the worst I've gotten in a long time and very over priced for what i received. I thought this could have been my new spot but sadly it's not. read more

Arrived early for my appointment but was accommodated right away. Yes. Checked out the nice selection of nail colors and made my choices. Yes. Seated in a chair but no instructions on how to operate it. Feet placed in water but not asked if the temperature was to my liking. Staff member sat down but did not ask my name, give me hers or offer any direction. No, no, no. Sigh. Then the questions began asking me if I wanted to upgrade to a spa treatment and later a brow wax. Really? The only time you talk to me is to get the price point up? It was an adequate pedicure. And a passable manicure. Instead of making my fingernails even, they were all chopped off to nubs. Two procedures that typically take an hour were "completed" in about 45 minutes. The last time the staff member spoke to me was to request payment. The salon seems to be clean, the prices seem to be reasonable but there is nothing memorable about the service. Why would I want to go back to get more sales pressure? This was a middle-of-the-road experience for something that is more of an indulgence than a necessity. Not to be repeated and not to be recommended. read more

I traveled from california....and this place hit the spot!!!! I got the pleasure of having Tammy. She first did a full pink and white set, then a neck massage and a pedicure. I feel amazing! The nail techs are all very personable and nice. The nail salon is able to accommodate allot of customers and The owners recently got all new massage chairs. The pedicures and sitting in massage chairs are the reasons I keep coming back.I can't comment on much else since that's pretty much the only service I go for. So I can't comment on anything else. I love getting a deluxe pedicure here because they do the works. You get to wiggle your toes in a warm jetted spa, sit in a great massage chair while someone rubs your feet and legs before painting your toes to perfection. Their prices are reasonable and the paint on my toes seem to last till my next visit. Not to mention, My feet feel silky smooth. I also like that I don't have to schedule an appointment since they always have allot of ladies ready to work. I have a hectic work schedule and I'm spontaneous. So knowing that I can get in and out of here any day of the week. Is why I keep coming back for more. read more

Mani/Pedi ratings depend very much on level of expectation, who provides the service and environment. K Nails is a bustling neighborhood spot to get nails done fast and cheap. So, manage your expectations - you will likely forego a great massage and there are no spa salts in the tub. My manicurist had solid technique, and the polish lasted 3 days before first signs of chipping with moderate water exposure. My main concern with K is that I did not see *anyone* opening sanitized tools from clean packaging. The nail files were extremely worn down and the pedi scrub was not cleaned after use. I also did not see anyone completely sanitize the pedi-tub/chair after my use. Here is a rating breakdown: Quality of Tools / Cleanliness: 1 Atmosphere/Spa Experience: 2 Selection/Quality of Polish: 2 Quality of Manicurist: 4 As a clean freak and someone who values a bit more pampering, I will not be back without bringing my own tools along with lowered expectations... For those less germaphobic, K will likely rate higher and get the job done. read more
