Great mom and pop nail salon. Been there over 2 decades. Great selection of products. Clean facility. Amazing service. Reasonable prices.

I'm really not the type to bash a business, or a small business especially, but the service I received today is absolutely unacceptable and this business needs to hold themselves accountable for the services that they are offering, especially for the prices that they charge. I am 9 months pregnant, about to expect a baby any day now and really wanted to get my nails done prior to his arrival. My husband is stationed at MacDill and this salon is the closest thing to base. I saw skeptical reviews but decided to give it a chance... which now I am extremely regretful of. The lady said the total was $60 and I just looked at my nails in disbelief. I explained that I would pay for the product and her time, but I am not paying $60 for this service. The man who also works at the salon comes up to us, looks at my nails, and says pay today and come back tomorrow and we will fix them. I am sorry but who in their right mind would ever step back into a place like this that thinks this is acceptable work for their clients..... We came to an agreement of $40 (which I still think is insane since I will have to over again to get my nails soaked off, and redone by another business). It truly makes me sad to have to post a negative review, but I couldn't not say anything to the customers who may be contemplating this place. I truly hope this salon acknowledges their work, and strives to become better for their clients. read more

Over all this place is just terrible we came here from out of state we have no problem paying but they literally played on our nails. how is a fill in 50 without gel(brown nails) but a full set is 60 with gel would've been 55 but I got "coffin" this is not coffin at all. Paint job is terrible a total of 5 of us went and all we not satisfied. Paid 30 for a regular pedicure but 50 for gel so 20 dollars for gel . They knew we were military and from out of town and proceeded to take advantage of us and over charge us asking persons questions to figure out how much we make and are willing to pay. First time here, and first time in a few years getting a professional pedicure & manicure service. I was very impressed. I don't generally change my salon professionals often, and then when I do it usually takes me a while to feel comfortable with new people anyway. This couple made me feel at ease and completely at home almost immediately. Their salon is clean, well stocked and they do very gentle and meticulous work. Lee performed my salon service and did an amazing job, and was very patient with me when I kept bumping my manicure on the dividers and he had to touch-it up :). the have dividers between the manicurist and the customer, and do require masks, for those concerned. Everything was very clean, and peaceful. Friendly people, and just such a pleasant experience. I will definitely come back as the prices are very reasonable and quality is top notch. read more

I had to leave for the airport in half an hour and ran in to see if I could get at least one thing done, because it's a tradition of mine to always get pampered here before I travel, and I got my gel manicure, polish change pedicure, AND eyebrows waxed all in 30 MINUTES. She cut my cuticle going to close she did the same thing to my sister all because she was in a hurry to leave. The nails them selves are perfect, but instead of using nail glue she used super glue! Would not go back here for a manicure, but definitely for a pedicure. read more

Great family owned business! Super friendly and reasonably priced. They take their time and do not rush their service.

Sunday around 1:30 I came in for a quick manicure, while walking in I check for a "walk-ins welcome" sign which was hanging in plain sight. I step through the door I see two people being worked on and one person waiting. So I'm thinking there won't be a long wait at all 30-40 minutes top. I go to take a seat and before I can even get there I'm told they're too busy, with only one person waiting. I don't know if it's because I'm a man or what but I will never recommend. read more

Came here today, the day before my baby shower for a french gel manicure. I had an appointment at 12, but came 20 minutes early and they still took me. Very friendly, they actually talk to you while they pamper you and it's a family owned business. My nails came out beautiful and I couldn't be happier! And their prices are amazing! Honestly, not the best manicure, but not the worst. The gentleman who works here didn't take the time to clean the cuticles up. After my gel manicure was complete, he didn't put lotion on my hands or any oil. The prices are high the polishes are old not many to choose from. They do your feet while your at the nail station. She scraped my previous gel polish off with her own nails. The male seemed nice but he's too rough. He painted my toes and placed the lamp at my feet. I told him it was too hot, it literally burned my foot. The daughters are sweet but barely took care of my feet during my pedicure. I'm not picky but for the 75 dollars spent it definitely wasn't worth it. He even went back over my feet but I wasn't too satisfied. read more

I came here while visiting south Tampa for work. They did an acrylic and gel fill in, and they even fixed the poor acrylic job from my previous nail technician. She filed them down to the point where they looked natural, she fixed the uneven shape, and was even was able to change the color. They are extremely friendly, patient, and dedicated to giving you the design you want. They even suggested amazing restaurants in the area because I was in town for a few days. This mom and pop salon is owned by the sweetest, most friendly, most professional couple who do an amazing job everytime. The wife is the only person I trust to wax my eyebrows and makes them absolutely perfect everytime for only $7. The prices are extremely reasonable. It is a comfortable and relaxing environment. There is hardly ever a wait and they work very hard. I see some negative reviews on here and obviously not everyone can be pleased all the time. I called before I went in and was quoted $22 for a gel polish change. Fine. They did not use the standard soaked foils I'm used to but had me place my hands in acetone, then scraped and buffed the prior polish off. My hands and nail beds were raw by the time I left. Their gel selection is limited to out dated colors; lots of shimmery polish (not my thing). When I left I was told $28 because the person who painted my nails told the person who removed my polish also gave me a manicure. The manicure never happened, my cuticles were never cut or trimmed, my nails were filed evenly (not even 2 mins of work on both hands combined). I wouldn't have minded paying it if my fingers weren't bleeding from the scraping of my nail beds to get the prior polish off. The women used her fingernails not tools to get some of the remainder polish off. When I said something the man argued with me. We settled at $25 then insisted I pay in cash.... Never going back. Natural Nails is right up the road on Gandy and so much better, cleaner, and professional.... read more

Received a basic manicure on Tuesday with clear polish only. By Thursday morning significant amounts had peeled off. Had not done anything that could have caused the deterioration. Went back today (Friday, 3rd day) and showed my nails and was told that is normal for clear polish. They did offer to "touch it up" but I declined since it would only last a day or two based on the previous experience. Have had numerous pedicures in the past, with colored polish and have had no issues. Will not bother with manicures from here anymore. read more

This is a super convenient shop on the corner of Macdill and Interbay. The owners are very friendly and they try their best to get you in and out if you are short on time. I love coming here especially since it is so close to the base and I know they will do a good job on my toes. My husband and daughter also likes to come and get their toes done.
