Highway robbery ! This dude upcharges you for everything! Charged me $110 per hour for changing my battery. Which wasn't even needed. Took my old battery back from him to the dealership they said it worked just fine. Secondly he charged me for an issue that he did not even correct I had to leave his workshop and drive straight to the dealership to have the issue worked on which he claimed to have fixed. Finally refused to answer the phone even after calling him multiple times, did the work without consulting me and told me there must have been some "miscommunication" WTF?? What miscommunication? Saleem, owner and mechanic at Mananas, VA, is a very trustworthy person. He saved us lot of money on my 2005 Toyota Prius. He is the most honest mechanic I've ever met. He takes his time to talk with you, diagnose your problem and come up with how to fix your vehicle. I used to be a person who would go to the car dealership but not anymore, Saleem is my go to person for my car repairs and oil changes. He also says he can do warranty work and really goes out of his way to help a person. I have referred many people to Saleem, he is upfront and honest and will always do for you what he can! This auto shop is awesome. Our car almost broke down on the side of the highway so we googled the nearest car shop and found this place. Luckily they were able to help us on the spot. It appeared our belt was going to snap, so they were able to order and get a new one within a couple hours. Saleem went out of his way to top off our car fluids and informed us they keep our service ticket on file for a year to ensure their quality of work. I on a family fleet of cars 7 total and this is my goto shop for for all, most bring my older out of warranty daily driver cars and classic collectors. Saleem is busy but very patient and willing to go extra mile if you are on a tight budget. He charged me only $60 to recharge and diagnose my AC problem, fixed it with a $20 part. Other shops wanted $150 or more to do this. He even works on my ten yr old Ford Escape hybrid cars and does free pre_car purchase inspections puts it on lift! Not sure it would be free to all but for long term customers sure he would do it. read more

I always search on small auto shops who are honest. Sonu Auto repair meets that. I took my van there twice. Once I got the AC compressor replaced and again to replace my struts, shocks and rear wheel bearings. Each time I compared price prices with other shops and major auto repair chains. Sonu both times came in WAY cheaper. The service was worth it. They did an awesome job. Better than I would expect from any repair shop. I urge not to go to this freaking place..!! The guys here are real assholes..!! No wonder I said that..!! When I say they are assholes they are..!! I've been to this place to get my emergency break pads fixed (hand break) for my Hyundai. On the previous evening I called in to ask them if they can fix the same..they said yes and asked me to come in by 9:30 am..!! I was told it would take 20 minutes to fix..!! Next morning I was there in this place at 9:30. The younger brother of the owner was there n he informed that the owner stepped out n he will be back in 30 minutes..!! And that 30 minutes went by to 3.5 hours finally this unfit guy comes (Salman, owner). Looks after the vehicle and tells he will fix it in 30 minutes. After that he comes back again n tells me that I need to replace the rotors, calipers, drums, break pads and emergency break pads and it would cost whole lot a heck of $800. The previous day I was been to Firestone to get the tires fixed and they told me the breaks are good for another 20k. I understood the situation and asked him to fit the things back, I don't want to get it done and I left.!! BTW it was 4:00 pm by the time I left this place. I parked the vehicle in my garage and the next morning I was on my way to work. Astonishingly my breaks were failed when I was on I66 at the speed of 60 mph at 9:00 am..Imagine what if I ran into a stopped truck or a vehicle which has a pregnant woman or the whole family..!! That's terrifying... Thank god Jeezz nothing went worst I pulled over to the shoulder and called the roadside assistance. This guy comes and tells me that the bolt of the caliper was missing and that's the reason the caliper came out and was hanging (nothing was broken). I towed the vehicle to the nearby firestone and got it fixed which costed me $220. I was still told the same reason that the bolt for caliper was missed out while fitting. I called this business to let them know about the deadly incident. While I explained the whole incident this fu***** ass**** (Salman) said that my voice was not audible and asked me to hang up and call back (I was not in any forest). Which I did..!! And the call was never attended neither I got a response back. I thank god that I am still alive I feel it as a second life..!! I would recommend never go to this freaking place..!! read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. The owner Saleem is a true and honest professional. I've entrusted him with my car repair for over 5 years and he has yet to let me down. Saleem is the face company and will always take time to talk to a customer. I'll agree his employees may not seem to be the most warm and open people but that's not why i visit the mechanic. During my many visits I've managed to break through the gruff exterior and they can be quite talkative. I will point out if you have a question it's best to talk to the boss. read more
