The young man working the cash register this morning was very RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. He can't say "thank you" or please or smile. I don't know what, if any, relationship he is to the owners. The owners (couple, husband and wife) are not always very nice, either. Why are people always comparing the stations to Costco. That's bs. Costco is a membership only and inconvenient. Sons definitely has the best prices for gas, bar none, for miles around. Their competitor across the street, used to be pretty competitive, but now they stay anywhere from 4-8 cents a gallon higher than Son's. read more

Normally, I like this gas station, the two ladies that work there are super sweet but today, at a little after 5pm, there was a guy working, I had never seen him before, and because of his attitude and how he treated on woman in need, I find it hard ever going there again. While at the gas station, there was a frantic woman trying to get someone to give her dollar bills in exchange for her jar of quarters because the cashier refused to allow her to pay for her gas with the quarters. She explained that she just escaped a domestic violence situation, and she needed gas so she could leave. I offered a $20 in exchange that much in quarters, but the cashier was still being a dick. She started counting out the quarters and I put them near the cashier. I said, in a calming tone, "This nice man is going to take these quarters because they are legal tender and he has no right to refuse them, in fact, if you wanted to pay in all pennies, he has to take them." The cashier took out a roll and told the woman that she must have them wrapped. I calmly asked, "If you had a daughter, sister or mother who needed help and was this stressed and freaked out, wouldn't you want the cashier to stop being a dick, and help them out?" He repeated..."dick?" and said that she could not pay in unwrapped quarters and the line is long and she had to leave. I said, still in my calm voice, "Yes, you are being a total dick, have a heart, the long line wouldn't be as long if you would just take her money, there are no signs that say that you don't take coins." I made sure that everyone in line knew what a jerk he was being and how, if this is how they are, I'll get my gas from their competitor. I don't know if the woman's situation was legit but she for sure looked scared and had bruises on her arms and face and did not deserve to be dismissed by the cashier and refused gas. I hope the cashier never finds himself in a crisis, where people refuse to help. If someone needs help, and you are able to do so...DO SO!! read more

This review is only for the gas station as I am not using their repair services. Son's has easily the lowest gas prices in the area and is usually a very quick in and out. The prices are lower than the beloved warehouse club in the area. You can even save more if you pay cash! read more

I accidentally posted this on the gas station one, but this is the proper place! This place is under new management, and we couldn't be happier that it is now more convenient to drop our cars off to Paul. We didn't mind bringing our cars to OB, because we love the area, but it is such a time saver for us that he is now in Esco since we are in 4s. He does wonderful work on our cars and doesn't inflate the prices. He has taken care of our Mercedes, Volvo, and Nissan. It's nice to have a mechanic that can be trusted. Very trust worthy for Smog Checks. I was worried being a female I would be told car didn't pass so mechanical work could be recommended by them. NOT THE CASE AT ALL!! Very honest, professional and nice. A young Hispanic performed my Smog Check as soon as I drove up. And this young gentlemen was working on a car.
