Experience: the man working inside is really nice and wears his mask. He also keeps the doors open during the day for fresh air. The gas prices are not great though. $4.59 a gallon today for regular gasoline. This place does have a drive-through car wash you can also pay for and use. The other downside of this gas station is how many homeless people and drug addicts or people with mental health issues, screaming at the air, are hanging around. This place closes at 11pm. I just rolled up at 10:19pm to a fully lit normal gas station. I get out and toss some trash away and pull out my wallet at the pump to put gas in my empty car and as I go to put my card in the slot (at 10:21pm) the guy inside turns off all the power to the pumps and the lights. Just kills power to everything and it suddenly goes completely dark. Dipping out 5 minutes early is one thing but shutting down with a customer out there 39 minutes early is a little much hahaha. "Elite" Kristen A is full of shit. Sometimes I trust Waze too much when it directs me to take Del Dios to get to work. While the directions save time, there is also no gas station for 12 miles. So when my tank is empty this is my last chance... You really don't make Express Fuel your gas station of choice. It's a generic gas provider ( Sketchy / possibly loaded with credit card readers / generally unclean ) that is the staging area for pan handlers. I take my car to this place every time I need an oil change. It is also the only time I get my car washed. However, they always do a great job. You can leave your car and go grab lunch nearby at a host of restaurants. Once they have changed my oil and washed the car, they call promptly. They have a great deal if you have a regular car which is $35 for a wash and lube. My car uses synthetic oil and it is about $80 - so great price and great service. I don't take great care of my car, but there aren't a whole lot scratches. They always make my car look brand new, even scrubbing my rims. read more

DO NOT GET A CAR WASH HERE! Soap was still left on my car after the wash. When I complained to the employee she asked me what kind of wash I got. I told her the $12 wash (the best they offer). She said, "It's common sense drive-through car washes won't get your car completely clean." WHAT? Apparently I don't have common sense. Look, I don't expect much from a $12 car wash but I do expect it not to look worse when it's finished. The employee called the manager who said she'd have to check the video tapes the next day (to see if I was telling the truth) and if she sees soap then I can come back and get another wash. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I got gas around 10:30pm and was given the option to get a car wash. I chose a car wash and after I was done fueling, no receipt came out. So I went to the person working and she said they were closed and could do nothing about it. I asked for a receipt and she said she couldn't give me one. I just realized and thought about this review. I used to go here all the time. One day, their car wash machine was broken and didn't dry my car fully (half of it was broken). I asked for a full refund, and they wouldn't give it to me, so I told them I would never come back. 4 years later, and thousands of dollars in gas purchases lost from me, I have not gone back there. Don't use this car wash. It sucks. Stopped here for gas and saw they had a car wash. So, I buy the cheapest one. I've been through many a $6 car wash and I know what to expect. But what I found after this one was a funky film on all of my windows. So I asked the guy next to me if this had happened to him, and he says, yeah, it doesn't do a very good job. So I go to the clerk to ask for my money back and she says the exact same thing! Is this seriously what we've come to? Why would you sell a product that you know "doesn't do a very good job?" Most effed up gas station ever. There's no traffic control, people approached the tanks from various sides preventing access to vacant spots. People were giving up and backing out. Most of the tanks had signs on them saying to go inside to use your credit card. The hoses aren't long enough to stretch around the car. I have always thought one of the basic laws of the known universe is: If you own a gas station close to a freeway, you provide a bathroom that customers can use. Even in California, and even though I live in Arizona I am well aware that most convenience stores in Ca. do not have bathrooms. But a gas station next to a freeway is completely different, people are usually conversing great distances over the freeways and in cities there are very few rest areas around. So this place did not have a bathroom and probably 200 yds from the freeway exit. Just completely unacceptable they do not provide a restroom. I was very fortunate there is a Burger King next to it but that is ridiculous, now I feel guilty using their restroom without purchasing anything. To the owners of Express Fuel: Stop being so cheap and build a restroom or at least have the decency of providing a spot on your sign indicating no restroom available. Also, the gas was not cheap. The reason I chose it driving in was because sole proprietor gas companies are usually cheaper. I was wrong but not other gas station in site so I sucked it up. read more

Used car wash today. The brush broke my front wiper. Asked attendant about it, he said since my car was older then a 2011 they would not be able to assist in repair or refund car wash. Asked to speak with manager and he gave me the number of the gas station. This car wash has a busted brush (I know because I removed parts of it from my destroyed wiper) and the attendant just allowed three cars behind me to use it. I live in San Diego and was in Escondido on business. I needed fuel and stopped at Express Fuel. They advertise car washes and I purchased a $7.00 wash. I get to the entrance to the car wash and a big sign states " left blower not working" I went ahead inside the car wash and nothing happened, no water, no nothing. I go back inside to the cashier who refuses to refund my money! She tells me that car washes are non-refunable. I tell her I didn't get a car wash, go look at my car. She gives me the managers phone number I give her my phone number. So far, the manager, Mark, has not returned my call. It is not about the $7 it is the principal.
