I checked in on the kiosk and was called back a few minutes after I sat down thanks to the appointment. My phlebotomist was okay. I've always been told that I have shy veins and that my hand is the easiest stick. Despite informing the phlebotomist of this, she still tried to draw from my arm which was fruitless. I ended up needing to be stuck twice which would have been avoided if she had listened to me about my own body. Kind of frustrating.

I followed the instructions and dropped off 3078 mL of urine. I know the number because they measured it - and then inexplicably cancelled the test. They didn't inform me. They didn't tell me I would need to repeat the test. They just stopped processing it. Now, I have to repeat the test because someone at Sonora Quest didn't care about doing their job properly. Today I went to my doctor and he gave me a script for blood work. I called Summit and told them my good friend had recently used them and said he got them to drive over to his office to draw his blood during lunch for no charge. The one who answered the phone at summit name was Rick.. He was really friendly and told me he'd make sure I got hooked up. Lol He also told me that normally when you call to schedule a mobile visit you'll schedule a time and date which he said will normally be the next day. He told me that I was lucky caller number 5 which means I would receive a free mobile draw and it could actually be today if I'd like. Before I could say anything he said he was playin around and let me know everybody gets to use there mobile service for free, so tell your friends he says. He told me I was lucky tho and because I called early enough in the morning he could get somebody out the same day. I don't want to go on forever but feel like I left two other important kick ass things. 1. I don't have insurance and have to pay out of pocket. I guess there cash pay prices are one of the lowest in the valley I didn't check but I believed him. 2. The phlembotmist named Pam who came to my house was very nice and made having my blood taken almost painless. When she was done I asked her when she thought I'd get my results back and she told me probably tomorrow. I can't believe it's that fast. I will leave another review if thats true. The test is not FDA approved but has been fast tracked under the emergency authorization use act and is believed to be reliable. Anyways the reason I gave them 3 stars is because the receptionist was not wearing a mask but the person conducting the test was wearing a mask and was very nice but i didn't get her name. The positives- they ask you to wait outside for your result so that part was very good and they provide your results quickly.

I scanned the paper looking for my tests to make sure nothing was missing and she snapped at me to give it back and she would give me a copy. When I received the copy, I told her my thyroid panel was missing. She said it's there. We just give you a "snapshot" of all of the tests and don't list them all. I asked to see them. She refused and then gave me the most painful draw I've ever had in my life. She was obviously lashing out on me for daring to ask to see my tests. My thyroid test I was concerned about was missing once I saw the results. I have sent 2 formal letters of complaint and one email and Labcorp doesn't respond. They don't care. I have to get a new draw from Sonoran Quest next week (where I've only had the most professional experiences). I am looking into my legal rights regarding the treatment I received at Labcorp.

Mom does not usually do well with procedures and doctor visits in the morning. 1st Choice is aware of this as we have had at least three discussions about it over the past year. Recently the scheduling process has become even less customer friendly. Following is an example of how they operate: Yesterday mid day I received an email stating Mom's blood draw was scheduled for noon today. Then at 4:25 yesterday afternoon I received another email and text stating the appointment had been moved to 9 am. I immediately called and the phone was answered by an unprofessional sounding young woman who took over 10 minutes to locate the appointment. She then informed me it was too late to change it. I told her the 9 am time would not work and why. She said she'd send a message to someone (not sure who). Subsequently I texted, called, left a voicemail message, and sent an email requesting contact. No response. Fast forward to this morning. At 7:39 I received a text stating the technician was on his way. 30 seconds later I received a text stating work was finished. I immediately called and left another voicemail asking that someone contact me about scheduling. No one has. So to recap: this company scheduled an early appointment for the next day. I called within 15 minutes but they refused to change it, even though the time scheduled was their mistake. Then they showed up unannounced almost 90 minutes earlier than that! Wow. I've given this company 2 stars only because so far they haven't screwed up the actual blood draw. But as far as scheduling is concerned they seem to care more about their own convenience than that of my Mom. They literally just show up whenever they want.

Instead of going there in the morning like I wanted, I had to wait a few extra days for the next available morning appointment. My appointment was at 8:45 AM and I arrived on time. They took me in right away and got my blood drawn for lab work. I was out of there shortly. The other people were pissed because they said they waited before me, "claimed" they had an appointment but when the receptionist checked, she said, ""You don't have an appointment." So it's first come, first serve for them. Not sure if they completed made up they had an appointment, had someone "book" it through some unknown system, etc. Planning and appointments work .. in life, in general. Save yourself time and headache by booking appointments and organizing yourself. Life will be easier.
