I visited Sonora Quest Labs at Irma Lane this morning. Alma, who is usually at the front desk , is kind, caring and exceptionally good at her job. Today she not only met me at the front desk, but then also took my blood sample for my doctor. I can't say enough about her. They are lucky to have her, as are we! Cheryl T. read more

Worst customer service here terrible long waits do not recommend coming to this shit hole. I called and made a complaint I've been waiting for almost an hour just to have my blood drawn and I still haven't been called. No customer service people at the front desk very unprofessional up here at 3805 East Bell Road in North Phoenix. 0 stars not recommending this place at all terrible customer service what a shit hole. read more

Came in for blood work. The whole lobby inside was packed. The staff sounded annoyed to be there you could hear them complaining and talking about others medical info, they don't seem to have a front desk person all done on tablets. They do all your check in stuff in the back now no longer checking in in the front. I've been waiting for about 30 minutes as of now and there's a few people here all booked with the same appointments at least 7-8 of us. Just be prepared to wait. Also if you sit in the lobby the ringing from the elevator will aggravate you to no other. read more

Repeat experience. Tech caused such a big bruise on my arm after the blood draw. They are not training them or they simply don't care it seems. The new policy is that there is no person at front desk who used to put in the doctors orders. The tech inside does everything so it can take much longer if one has multiple vials to give. read more

Sonora Quest Laboratories - Bruise after blood draw - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

The nursing staff was excellent. I ran into complications and they helped me out and with care. Thank you. The only reason not 5 stars is no attendance at front desk and if you get someone, not very friendly. I'll update if need be as I come back more often. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service and long waits. Do not recommend. Do not recommend.

Horrible. Horrible service, if I could give them 0 stars I would. Don't go here. Horrible customer service, horrible communication. They make things 100x more difficult than they need to be. read more

So, what's the point of having an appointment only to be treated as a walk in? It's very clear this lab is incredibly busy. Not enough people to draw blood. I checked in on time and waited more than 40 mins. I over heard one of the ladies telling a patient that since there were three people ahead of her it would be 20 mins. I was 12th in line. Needless to say I left. Please Sonora quest... make this a walk in only facility. Wasting people's time is unacceptable. read more

I must be honest: I dreaded coming to this lab to get my blood work done when my insurance changed recently. Past experiences have not been good with either my son or me. As you can see, I left a review seven years ago and have not been back, but I went there today, and it was truly impressive. Stephanie was incredible. She entered all of my insurance and identification in the system while I sat in the room with her. She was super friendly and got my vein on the first try. They have gained enough practice through the years because they're good at their work. It was painless and straightforward, and I was impressed. It was only suitable to update the review; I guess they have gotten enough practice through the years because they're good at what they do read more

I'm so thankful for Michael at the Sun City West location. I showed up for my Blood Work only to find out that I was at the wrong Sonora Quest location. Michael was helpful and was able to get the work order from the other location and completed the order staying for almost 40 minutes after his quitting time. Thanks so much for Michael. read more

I honestly don't get why there are so many negative reviews.. lol I'm just thinking those patients didn't do what they were supposed to do on their end prior to the appointment. I had an appointment at 2, got there at 1:50. Literally sat down for less than a minute in the lobby before they called me back to the room. Aimee took my blood and she was incredible. I am a nervous individual and she made me feel comfortable and at ease. This location was great! read more

TLDR: Long wait time, non-existent customer service, zero communication. Just read all the other reviews that say the same thing. Same as all the other complaints. Wait time is high, & nobody cares, nobody communicates, in fact they go out of their way to ignore you. I tried to make an appt online, but it said to go in person to select an appointment time, ok sure. I show up, there's a decent amount of people in the waiting room, one person at the desk if assisting a patient. I go to these tiny tablets they have to sign in, which brings up an even TINIER keyboard, literally comical. I do not see how anyone over 35 years old wouldn't struggle with that thing, & that's step 1 lmao. Ok so I put my phone number in, no record of my info.... Weird, I filled out a long questionnaire online. Signed in as a walk in, no confirmation text, no estimated wait time, noooot a thing to let you know if you're waiting 20 min or 4 hours. Hope you don't have plans the rest of the day:) By this time the patient had left the front desk so I walk over & wait in front of the employee at the computer & wait. (They look like they're in the middle of something) I wait patiently while they finish their current task, then I see them kinda look up & notice I'm right in front of them & then continue with their work. After a few minutes he looks AROUND me, & signals the previous patient to come up, which he does & basically just stands right in front of me. I just don't understand how difficult it is for the employee to acknowledge my existence lol. A simple "be with you in one moment" or something. But instead, just some eye contact avoidance. Very "not my problem" attitude. Really disappointed with the entire process. Thank goodness this is just a routine check up I can reschedule. I cannot imagine using these folks for anything urgent or timely in any way. Hopefully this review & all the others can inform the owners to make changes. This far, it seems they either don't read the reviews, or (more likely I think) they just don't care. That's just how they train employees. read more

I recently needed blood work done. Rather than set an appointment, I decided to do this as a walk-in upon arrival, I was greeted by Mikala. I don't know how she managed to keep a smile on her face and help me and everybody else that walked in during my wait time. Waiting to get your blood drawn is not a fun experience, but somehow she made the situation as pleasant as possible. Although I waited a long time, I was called back in under one hour And met my vampire, Franchon. Like Mikala, she was also pleasant and professional. I never felt the stick of the needle and I was done within a few minutes. I chose this location so because I was having other medical work done nearby. I am really glad I went here and has a walk-in, the wait was not unduly, long or uncomfortable. The facility was clean, not overcrowded, and the two people I dealt with made the experience memorable in a positive way. read more

Terrible wait time, appointments do not seem to matter. Otherwise decent facility and great people

This review is for the Sonora Quest on Union Hills and 67th Ave Glendale AZ. Recently they changed their process after you check in. Used to be they would call you and then take your insurance card and lab order. Now the lab tech does that and it is very inefficient! Then most recently they are supposedly implementing a new "computer system" and wait times are VERY LONG regardless whether you have an appointment! Their excuse - we have a new system therefore there are delays. NOT ACCEPTABLE! if their system is not ready then don't roll it out!! read more

I had a very negative experience with Chermaine or Charmaine at the Patient Service Center located at 3805 E Bell Rd, #1500, Phoenix AZ 85032. Myself and another patient walked up not know that the location closes at 3pm. At the same time, a patient was walking out so we walked in. Charmaine walked out to the lobby with ATTITUDE!! She opened the door and pointed at the sign on the window that they close at 3pm. Mind you, it was 2-3 minutes past 3pm. She rudely told us that they can no longer see patients because they are technically closed. The other patient left. I explained to Charmaine that I was only there to DROP OFF my lab. She didn't seem to care and kept telling me that they are closed and all of the phlebotomist are gone which was a LIE because there was a gentleman who checked in right when I walked in. He apparently made the cutoff and was waiting to get his blood drawn. I attempted to explain to Charmaine again that I was only there to drop off. She just repeated the same thing and stood at the door holding the door open, waiting for me to leave. I can see if I had arrived at 3:15 or after but it was only 2-3 minutes after. If I was wanting blood draw, then I can understand her frustration but I just wanted to drop off my lab test. I just don't understand why Quest Diagnosiics/Sonora Quest would hire people who are rude and just seem angry at the world. They seem to hate their job anyway. Why not hire people who actually want to work and like their job? My experience at 3132 E Camelback Rd, Phoenix AZ 85016 with Jessica was night and day in a positive way. In all the years I've used Sonora Quest, she is the only person who has greeted me with a genuine smile. She was extremely busy with inputting data from prior patients but kindly asked me to check in and would help me as soon as possible. The wait wasn't long. She took the lab test bag and confirmed my email address and off I went. She was smiling and had a great attitude throughout the whole time she was helping me. The company needs to hire thousands of people like her. Maybe pay them more too. Maybe that's why there are so many disgruntled employees at almost every location. Charmaine needs to be fired or retrained and shadow Jessica. Avoid this location or go at your own risk. Who knows if they even process things properly because they are so unhappy. There's another one not too far at 550 E Bell Rd (Safeway) Phoenix AZ 85022. The reviews were at least better than this location. read more

Automated "scan" check in not working. Unhelpful uncaring receptionist seemed to be annoyed because their instructions for manual check in were both confusing and WRONG. Making appointment proved to be worthless. 50 minutes between appt time and the time I was taken for blood draw. This location, 3805 E. Bell, has been annoying annoying for years. read more

After my last experience here I should of never came back. Last time I choose the text option when my turn was ready. The said about 45 mins. After waiting 2 hours in my car I went inside The same girl who checked me in said there was no record of me checking in. Go in today. My doctor writes stat on my order so he can get results the same day. The girl confirmed with me that they would do it stat. I still have no results and there now closed. Don't go here. They are rude and treat you only like a number. read more

Is there a shortage of phlebotomists too? Online appointments are running 5-6 days out in wide radius. Opted for a walk-in and waited 2 hours then added time since no one noticed one test would not be done until Monday using old blood. Color me in for another visit on Monday. Too overbooked there when stuff gets overlooked by overwhelmed staff. read more

Wife went with 2-day-old new born today for quick blood draw signed stat by doctor. She gave her information to the person at the front and then waited forever. After waiting an hour wife asked how much longer and they tried to blame her for the delay. Then they also waited way too long between providing a heat pad and trying to take the baby's blood so our baby was poked multiple times which should have been unnecessary. The lady who was rude and didnt take responsibility for the mess up regarding delay was Claudia, and the guy who fumbled the sign in was Ramsey. What was supposed to be an easy trip ended up taking over 2 hours. This place sucks and has zero accountability. Blaming a mother of a new born for Sonora Quest's performance issue(s) is unacceptable. read more

This place is a madhouse with at least 10-15 people in the waiting area. I had an appointment at 9:30a and I had to fast. There was a problem with my order and 2 hrs later, I had to go to a completely different laboratory to get my bloodwork done. Ugh! What was supposed to take 15 min took the whole morning!! By the time I ate lunch since the last time I ate was 18 hrs. I will probably never go back here to get lab work done. read more

I came here with my 13-month old after calling around to ensure they would be able to handle the blood draw. This is my second visit in less than a week because the last location couldn't do it either. I check-ed in on the kiosk at 11:20 and was told 20-40 minutes wait time. No one asked for my orders. I watched my daughters name move from the #15 slot all the way to #1. When it disappears from the screen after an hour and ten minutes I ask the woman at the desk if we are next. She asked for my name and why i didn't give my orders - I told her that I checked in, asked about the wait and then found a seat. No one asked me for anything. I gave her my paperwork and after another 45 minutes and watching my name appear at the #10 slot (again) I asked if that was real, and if I was going to have to wait again. Another 6 people got called back before I finally got called back. At this point I asked the woman if she was going to be able to do this draw because I have already been here over 2 hours and I do not want to have to come back for a third time to get her blood drawn. She said no problem. She stuck her twice. And didn't get any blood. There was no apology about the wait, or the fact that they were unable to collect blood. But I could come back tomorrow and let them try again. And she suggested that I give my daughter more water. First of all, I am not stupid enough to come back to this location for a third draw. Second, thank you for your unsolicited advise about the water. I'm aware. And the 2 wet diapers I changed in the waiting room were soaked. If you have a child - I highly suggest going to a pediatric specific location. Sonora Quest has 1 that is specifically called "kids" but its over 30 miles from my house - I'll let you know how that goes tomorrow when I traumatize my daughter again by repeating this arm stick thing for the third time. I also find it disheartening that when you search Sonora Quest's website you can search for "pediatrics" specifically.... however both of the locations that I went to were listed on that "pediatric" list.... and neither of them were able to get any blood. I think this filter should be re-evaluated. Or at minimum evaluated for its authenticity and transparency. Try holding your (first and only) kid for multiple attempts at a blood draw and let me know how you feel. Then do it at an establishment that couldn't even offer an apology for somehow "missing" my check-in as my kid screams in the waiting room for 2 hours. Thank you but no thank you. read more

It took me a full hour for a walk-in blood draw. The floor of the room in which I had my blood drawn had the cap to a needle, paper and rubber gloves all on the floor. And when I went to leave a urine sample there were so many samples in the cupboard mine would barely fit. Very unsanitary. read more

I would give this place "0" stars if available. 55 minutes on hold, just to make an appointment! They do not care about you or your time. They have lost my blood work and a majority of the time, they have no idea what tests the doctor has ordered even though they have the orders emailed to them. A bunch of idiots running this place in charge of our medical stuff, awesome!!! But your only other choice really is LabCorp, and they aren't any better. read more

Quick and efficient. Zoey was very friendly and put my mind at ease when drawing blood.

I had read on here that this place was rude and bad. That was not my experience today at all. The lady that I spoke to at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Then when I went back I had my blood drawn by Myra (I apologize if I butchered the spelling). She was so nice and created good conversation with me. I was being picky about where I wanted the blood taken from on my arm, she was very receptive and did the draw flawlessly! read more

Terrible customer service by the front desk people. Were very unprofessional and not helpful whatsoever. Do not recommend this location.

I think Quest needs to be more accommodating to disabled patients. We arrived late for my father's lab appointment and we were switched to a walk in behind other people. He is in a wheelchair and it is difficult to get him moving to any appointment. I notified the staff that my dad has an another medical appointment so would appreciate if he could be seen sooner because of this and because he was late due to his disability. I was told that this was not possible as he was late and it doesn't matter. I think there should be consideration of disabled patients who made an appointment and have other appointments to move them forward ahead of someone who literally just "walked" in. read more

I likely won't get thus lucky again, but I was in and out of here in 20 minutes without an appointment. It was today, a Tuesday around 11:00a.m. Staff was on it and pleasant. Everything was clean. Dalia did my blood draw painlessly and quickly. No complaints! read more

I was dreading to go to Sonora quest since I didn't make an appointment and I've been to a few with the customer service and wait time were horrible. I was so surprised and impressed by my experience today. I walked in number 10 or 11 in line, I was called up immediately to be checked in. I love the board that tells you what number you are in line at within 15 minutes I was called back. Blanca, who drew my blood, was outstanding. Great personality, keep you busy so you didn't even realize what she was doing. Great visit in an out in less than 20 minutes. Very impressed. read more

The staff is so kind I was glad to get my lab work done here. They are fast I think people forget the fact that your insurance needs to be billed and that takes time. It's funny how people can wait for their coffees at Starbucks but cannot wait to get their labs done. I think this facility is doing a fantastic job people were in and out of there. It's definitely a high volume of patients and there were 4 workers. It's not easy. read more

Here in office now, the customer service level in the front desk could use some grooming. I have 2 sons, I had to ask twice if she could take both of their info while I was at the counter. This is probably the worst location I have ever been to. The wait was unreal. They told me the wait would be an hour and a half or I could book an appointment 3 weeks out. I got orders from my doctor to go get my yearly blood drawn for routine testing. I went online and made an appointment here, which was super convenient. The earliest appointment was 11:30, but I went ahead and ran over early to see if they could treat me as a walk in. The girl at the front desk was extremely rude. I was surprised! They have little iPads up front to check in, and being someone who hadn't been there before, I wasn't sure to check in there. I asked her about potentially seeing me early aside from my later appointment and she said "we're going to take care of our patients first and then we'll treat you as a walk-in". I was so confused because I'm also a patient. Anyways, they were able to fit me in early. The most concerning part of this whole visit was the patient that walked out right before I got called back, and he had blood spewing everywhere. It dripped all throughout the waiting room and he had to run back into the back to get it under control. A woman that works there came out and wiped it all up with a paper towel. And then ironically, she was the one to call me back to do my blood. I was disgusted. I just watched you clean up a random man's blood, and I truly don't trust that everyone's blood is clean nowadays. It totally freaked me out. In the future, they need to handle situations like this better. Make sure the person is not going to bleed out in your waiting room. read more
