First visit to the office. Very spacious and clean. Plenty of room to social distance. We visited the pharmacy today. Note that the pharmacy is closed during lunch hours from 12 noon to 1 pm. I highly recommend avoiding this office. I recently got insurance through my employer and thought it would be a good idea to get a check-up after not seeing a doctor for many years. Jennifer Thatcher had good reviews on the insurance website, so I decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, no one could confirm whether my physical and bloodwork would be covered by insurance. I attempted to confirm with my insurance provider but was unable to do so without the CPT code. I've received these codes from dentists and other healthcare providers in the past, but despite multiple requests, neither the receptionist, assistant, nor doctor would provide the necessary codes. As a result, I was unable to determine how much the service would cost out-of-pocket, which was frustrating since I'm not in a position to take on extra medical expenses. I did not end up getting bloodwork for this reason. Which is what I wanted to check the most. When I asked for the codes, Jennifer was dismissive and condescending, acting as though my request was inappropriate. After waiting about 45 minutes to be seen, I was given a physical exam, but it was largely pointless--my ears were checked, blood pressure taken, and my lungs, heart, and stomach were listened to with no feedback or explanation. I felt like I could have done all of that at home. Jennifer didn't let me finish speaking and kept cutting me off. She showed no active listening and seemed uninterested in addressing my concerns. When I tried to discuss other health concerns, she refused to talk about them, citing insurance reasons. She basically told me at my age there is not a concern and I already know what I need. The experience was unprofessional and disappointing, and I will not be returning to this office, especially to see this provider. The lack of care and professionalism was appalling. read more

I have scheduled two separate times with doctor Hand. Both times she has canceled on me. Had labs scheduled for November she messaged and said no refills until labs. Come to get labs and 2 hours later still waiting. Came upstairs to change labs to outside source and receptionist were short with me and not understanding at all. read more

I completely agree with the comment about Dr Bitney! He was so AWESOME! He listened to me and was so knowledgeable! Best bedside manor. I felt very comfortable and he made sure that I did not forget anything I wanted to tell him by him asking me a few times if there was anything else. He ordered all my labs and testing and had all my referrals done so I was able to call them as soon as I got home! IMPRESSIVE!!!! I like how Cigna sends me a text as soon as anything is added to my online access. My test results are right there in two seconds! I can ask my doctor a question and set appointments right online. It actually amazing. Since I recently switched locations then I was lucky enough to get Dr Bitney. 5 stars for sure! read more

Since Cigna became "Evernorth Care Group" everything has gone down the toilet. The few good doctors that they had at this location have left and what they have brought in are mediocre to say the least. When you call for an appointment it's at least a 2-3 week wait and in the meantime they try to push onto a nurse practioner. Cigna operates a lot of different health insurance plans and many different facilities. This review is for their 2nd floor facility the Cigna Paradise Valley Medical Center where I am a customer. This review will primarily be about how Cigna has no concept of how a mere "patient" is, in fact, their customer and the person responsible for them having jobs. First impressions are not the best to begin with, but other than their choice of where they are located there's not much that can be done about that. The front parking lot rarely has available spaces and self-centered people usually take the few spaces designated for non-mobile and older patients as their personal parking spaces because they know they can get away with it. The one parking garage is too far away and many of the premium close-in spaces are designated for doctors and employees. Sometimes there just aren't any spaces, but if you are one second late for an appointment because of their limited parking the appointment Nazis will cancel your appointment and make you reset it for another month or so in the future. The building itself is a study in wasted space and inefficiency. Vast areas of lobbies with no one in them, hallways that seem to lead to nowhere, unmarked secret rooms. The Cigna suite looks like the waiting room at La Guardia. When you walk in you have to assume that the windows (3 of which are carefully adjusted at an angle that you can't tell they're there) are for patient check-in. The first houses a guy that seems to always have his head buried and on the phone. His function is not designated. The look on his face screams "I have to look busy because if they find out I don't have anything to do I'll lose my job". If you ever get to talk to him, good luck because every day seems to be his first day on the job. The other windows offer little chance that you will be so lucky to have human contact. As soon as one of them senses a human invasion of their turf they suddenly are "in conference" with another employee, having perfected the art of never acknowledging a patient (customer) may be waiting. If the stars are with you and your appointment is honored you will get to see back-to-back Oprah shows from the past 20 years before someone finally comes to mispronounce your name. As soon as they see you start to stand up they sprint back into the womb of their environment without a word of acknowledgement to you. We won't review any part of the medical treatment because after all, under today's medical system, you really don't have a choice, do you? But we will mention the pharmacy. There you will find perfection in the art of the glossy, dazed, bored look of bare recognition that you exist as a human life form. No matter what you say their response will be "it's out of our control, see your doctor". Tell them your doctor has told you that the meds he prescribed are the only thing keeping you alive and because the prescription you ordered 2 weeks ago hasn't been filled yet and you will likely die within 5 minutes, and you will get a bored response of "Thank you for your business, we appreciate you as a customer, please call us in a day or two to see if your prescription is ready ... WE don't call patients!!". From that point all eye contact is broken forever and the only word you will ever hear from that point is "next". Is it at all like the VA with so-called "secret lists"? Who knows? I really don't think they have the motivation to work that hard at anything other than watching the clock agonizingly click toward closing time. read more

Our employer switched providers this year and we had to leave Cigna. We will deeply miss them. Dr. Jason Angle is the best. He is very professional and friendly. It is really hard to find a physician that really listens and dedicates time to each patient like he does. Every one else in this medical center is very friendly and they provide outstanding service. This is an update, a direct esponse to "Todd H." below. VERY LITTLE about Todd H.'s review is accurate. It is snide, condescending, sarcastic and simply inaccurate. The guy he describes as "not looking busy" is NOT a new employee. Quite the contrary. His name is Troy and he is awesome. Very helpful, conscientious and efficient. And that's based on 3-1/2 yrs of dealing with him. I love Dr. Angle and his staff, and the pharmacy too. I assure you that NONE of the pharmacy workers have glazed eyes and bored looks. They too are very friendly and helpful. More than once, one of them has gone out of their way to help me in a crisis (over the phone). SHAME ON YOU TODD H. Dr Najib was so thorough and didn't make us feel rushed . She took the time to speak with my daughter not only about any medical concerns but also spoke about grades and the importance of them. I loved my newborn's experience with Dr. Mahalingam. She is a fantastic pediatrician - knowledgeable, warm, listens, etc. The only problem with this office is their limited hours. I switched pediatricians due to the limited hours, and I'm starting to regret making the change. read more
