I am 46 female and have had that annoying belly fat for years. After I saw the commercial for sonobello for free consult and "done under no general anesthesia" I made appointment. Jamie was my consultant and was informative and nice. after I found out the affordable price (compared to a plastic surgeon who uses general anesthesia ) I signed up. I did do my research about the place and read reviews about the procedure before hand. My pre-op visit was with Dr Thiet and she amazing, answered all my questions and concerns. She didn't sugar coat things which I liked, I like an honest answers. I didn't feel rushed at all. Procedure day Roberto(nurse) took wonderful care of me. I was awake the whole time of the procedure and didn't feel any pain, you do feel some pressure in a numbing kind of sensation, but no pain. I had my upper/lower abs and waist done. The numbing solution they used and the way she used it really works. Dr Thiet and the nurse Roberto talked to me the whole time and was very concerned about my comfort. I went home in 3 hours after walking in to the office and in no pain, just a little groggy from the pre-op meds they give you. 24 hours post op I took off my bandages to change and I was amazed. I was ready to look all black and blue but I had hardly no bruising at all. Dr Thiet did a wonderful precise and gentile job, could hardly see the incision sites either, very small. Went in for my 1week post op visit today hopping and skipping. I feel so good. I only took one pain pill on the day of the procedure before I went to bed and never again, only had discomfort when getting up from lying or sitting position but can honestly say no pain. I love my results and Roberto said this is only 30-40% of my results bc of swelling. I can't wait for my 100% . Dr Thiet is a wonderful plastic surgeon, she was knowledgeable, gentle and did a great job on my stomach. The staff at sonobello Bellaire office is wonderful, forgot to mention Amanda the receptionist who is super sweet and Amie the nurse who did my pre-op, she rocked. I highly recommend sonobello and Dr Thiet if you just want to do some contouring on your body. It's so worth it and very low discomfort, don't get me wrong, you will be sore but never experienced any really painful moments , just remember to move around a lot and don't just lie in bed. I could have been back to work my 4th day but I do a lot of physical work including heavy lifting so waiting another week so I don't undo anything that's been done, but if you have a desk job or something nonphysical you can go back on 4th day after procedure. It started when I went to my 1st consultation. Amanda is the 1st impression because she's at the front desk, very friendly with a big big smile. She handled the scheduling --the payments and etc. I like her- she was very, very warm. My next introduction was with Ms. Jessica she's the patient care coordinator. Jessica deserves to get thumbs up. Because the consultation that I went on was about 9 months ago and I have been trying to get my funds in order to pay my remaining balance--When Ms. Jessica call me with a promotion that cut down some of the cost of the remaining a balance I was supposed to bring in. She offered me a discount if I can get it by 31 January. And Oh my goodness, I came up with it all. Jessica really really made my day. Now I mustn't forget the wonderful nurse and assistant Ms. Taryn/ Maira . These ladies were dynamic- with really big personalities- very, very friendly and answered questions as best they could about what to expect. They were just so cool and still very professional - not with the noses up in the air. And last but, certainly not least -- "My Doctor--Dr Atun." He was so patient with me. You see I was afraid and he talked to me thru the whole procedure- Step By- Step with a very skilled Nurse- his name was Don. Now ,I had heard all kind of horror stories and Oh my goodness- this might happen and that might happen but you got to do it for yourself - Trust in God and you have to trust the people that God has blessed to be well educated in their prospective fields. And this is the same for every one of these people - from Amanda when I first walked in the door --to Jessica who sit with me and worked out a plan that was fit for me and my pocketbook . Next there is Ms. Diana and Lara- they were the practice managers there,responsible for the overall operations of the clinic and believe me this was one the cleanest- most sanitary places I've ever been in- to for it not to be a huge hospital somewhere in a medical center-- I'm so very impressed and so grateful . I rarely do such reviews, but my recent experience with Sonobello is something else! I truly think this specific branch of Sono Bello is something special and good reasons for my operation success and deserve no less than 5 STARS. Simply because I was really taken care of from all aspects. Starting with the consultation process, the considerations, and planning process. Mostly through by the surgery day and recovery process. I was lucky to be consulted by Jessica, she is an amazing person and extremely professional. She manages to provide the best and honest advice and recommendations possible. through her, I was even more fortunate to meet Dr. Madjidi and chose her as my Surgeon, Dr. Madjidi did an amazing job and throughout the process of the day before the procedure, the comfort level during and after the procedure. She is simply great, you should request her if you can! I have to admit that I was extremely nervous the operation day, but there were two individuals who were one of the reasons I truly felt better about the whole thing: Maira(the surgery Nurse) and the Sweetest ever Amanda and Jackie(they are receptionist, but I truly think they are playing more role than that). They have ways to make you feel home and welcome. Oh, I can't forget about another sweet lady who I met today at my one-week post operation followup, Kat(today's Nurse) she really great, knowledgeable and professional. 9/15/15 My experience at Sono Bello in Bellaire, Texas was a wonderful and a very rewarding one. I first heard about Sono Bello on the radio and decided to go for a consultation. Before going to my consultation I researched the different procedures and my options. During my consultation visit all my questions and concerns were answered and I decided to schedule the procedure to treat several areas. I then asked about the doctors and was given the qualifications of all three doctors. All three of them are highly qualified, but since I had to choose one, I chose Dr. David Stapenhorst because one of his degrees is in Bioengineering and for me any degree with the word "engineering" means precision and that was key. Still not knowing the other doctors, I feel I made the right decision. Dr. Stapenhorst was thorough and very candid and honest in his evaluation. Even though we women don't always want to hear the truth, I can really appreciate honesty. I didn't want someone that would do anything I wanted because I was willing to pay. Roberto(RN) was amazing. From the moment he took me to the procedure room he took very good care of me. He was like a good friend and I had this wonderful feeling that he was on my side (looking out for my best interest.) Amanda at the front desk is warm and exceptionally good at her job. For me, she is the face of Sono Bello. I recently had liposuction on my bra area, waist, hips, and outer thighs. I just did not want to be so wide. I met with Portia in the Woodlands office. She was very helpful. We discussed options and she worked with me to get the right doctor and the best time for me. I think Portia was a valuable guide to begin my journey. I met with Dr. Atun in the Bellaire office. In the pre-op he was honest with what we could achieve. He promised he would sculpt my body to a very beautiful shape. Dr. Atun is a fantastic surgeon. He has a great bedside manner and was very calming and humorous during the surgery. I met Andrew the morning of my surgery. Andrew was wonderful and fun as the pre-op nurse. He even held my hand when I was nervous. Nurse Que was a delight in the operating room. She was polite and so caring. I met Cat at my follow up appointment but had a very long phone conference with her when she called to check on me. At my follow up appointment Cat provided me with so much information and encouragement to keep going on my journey. In addition to the liposuction, I am having the Venus treatments with Jakia. Jakia is one of the nicest people I have ever met. On top of that, she is a wonderful aesthetician. I have enjoyed my time with her immensely. Each time I have come into the Houston office I have been greeted by Rosita and Amanda. They are gracious and polite. From offering water to making small talk it is delightful to come to the office. I am a 36 yrs. old mother of 2 children that had a revision from lap band to a gastric sleeve. January will make it 2 yrs. that I've had the surgery and I have lost over 80 lbs. I have been able to keep the weight off with it only fluctuating 5lbs or so. So, I came to Sono Bello for minor touch ups on some areas that are known to be stubborn. From the telephone staff all the way to Dr. Thiet has been a wonderful experience. When I came in for my consult which was perfect timing. The Best Experience Ever!!! I had been looking to get a few things done on my body as I was turning 40 and was having problems getting the fat off. I had been exercising four days a week but nothing was changing, it was just making me sadder to look at it. I found Sonobello and from the first phone call with the receptionist, I was hooked. The entire staff was outstanding, more than welcoming! I met with my doctor who was Dr. Thiet and I fell in love with her. She explained everything to me with much patients as I had a ton of questions. She assured me that I would be happy with my results. I can't say enough about how positive my experience was with Sono Bello. My doctor, Dr. Pearlman is a true artist. And his bedside manner was absolutely amazing. He took the time I needed before,during and after my procedure to make me feel comfortable about the process. What a gem! The nurse practitioner Lynda, assisting Dr. Pearlman is also amazing. She is always on point and pays attention to the smallest details to make your everything goes according to plan before and after your procedure. She was my rock. Great support - And very smart. WOW....I got to tell you just go find out. I finally did and it was well worth it. I had been wanting this since 2010 but the invasive surgery at the time left scars and down time I wasn't sure about. This laser liposuction was the answer. I was in and out. I had I had upper and lower abs, waist and outer thoughts done. The little discomfort is minimal compared to any alternative surgery. I feel and look amazing. I am so amazed even at 2 weeks post-op. For me All my bruises are GONE. There is just a little discomfort now but I don't have take any pain meds. I listen to my body. I'm walking every morning. I am doing my part. Today is the third morning of walking 2 miles. I'm so excited. This truly is a lifestyle change for me. My husband has been my major support group through it all. I never would've thought about liposuction. I mean, really! Liposuction?! Me? But then, after joking about it with my wife I finally gave in and said, okay, yeah, let's go. Next thing I know we were being evaluated in the Sonobello office. My problem was specifically in my abdomen. I was not overweight, just a band of fat around my abdomen. A month later, I had my surgery. The doc was very matter of fact, a no-BS kinda guy. Just the way I'd like it. The procedure was quick. I had some pain, or at least uncomfortable feelings the day of the procedure. But the next day I was back to my routine. Over the next couple of months my surgical site has continued to improve. I never knew how much of a difference a strategic 10 pounds of fat could make in my overall appearance, my outlook in life, my enjoyment getting dressed in the morning, clothes shopping, and going to the gym!! Well My experience was excellent, they were very explicit on all the information they gave, of course I had to finance, and they help me with that too,... everything went very fast I had the consultation on Thursday and that same day I sign up for the procedure on Saturday, I had the post op on Friday, the Dr was very friendly and answer all the questions I had about the procedure. I didn't have much time to think about it, I was really desperate to find a solution to my problem, I had a pouch like a 7 month pregnant lady, some people even ask me how far I was in my pregnancy, very embarrassing, it was very frustrating for me to wear dresses or pants, they look awkward not comfortable, in other words ugly. This has been the most awesome experience. I had my upper abs, lower abs, waist done, and the shelf on my bottom! Then my inner and outer thighs and arms. Meeting with Gabrielle, my consultant was so informative and she told me honestly what would be beneficial and explained the process in a way that instantly made my final decision to go forward easy. The nurses and doctors that saw me were amazing as well. Super sweet and made me feel at home and cared for. My doctor was Dr. Atun, and he was so easy to talk to. I had my procedure done on Sat Sept 1st, I had my upper and lower abs, love handles and bra rolls done as well as the EX which is the skin removal (there was a summer promo so I was able to get all my problem areas done!). I am a little over one week post op and I am extremely happy with my results so far. I had lots of trepidation and anxiety undergoing this process. The nurses and staff were kind and responded to every question.
