Walking into Sonny's it's very spacious and has been remodeled since the last time I came to this location. It looks really nice and decorated more modern. Our server greeted us quickly and got us our drinks right away. Once we placed our order we received our meal pretty fast, within about 15 mins. All the food came out hot and ready to eat. I tried the new Classic Bbq Bowl and it tasted great, it had a little bit of everything in one bowl. My Husband had the Hog Sandwich which had quite a bit of meat in it. My fav part of the sandwich was the jalapeño cheddar sausage. The kids meals were as ordered and no complaints from the kiddos which is always nice. Sonny's has been an acceptable restaurant for many years. To me the test for a BBQ restaurant is its ribs and brisket. By that standard I can not recommend Sonny's. Every time I have been disappointed by their ribs. They were not meaty. They were very dry. I don't know if they still have a salad bar but I did enjoy that. There were not many people there at around 6:30 pm on a weeknight, so we didn't have to wait for a seat. Our server was super polite and attentive.
