The first time in Keller's BBQ and it was a good experience. I think we beat the dinner crowd so it wasn't very busy. We were able to order right away and the food didn't take long to come out. My family ordered the half chicken dinner with house salad and cold slaw. I ordered a pound of smoked ribs. The taste was good; I tried a bit of the mustard-based BBQ sauce and I like it. The portion sizes are generous and we all had a to-go box. Our server was very attentive, friendly and did a good job. I think that I would call this place fast-casual dining. Regina went above and beyond today. When I called in my pickup order for a half smoked chicken salad she informed me that, because the price of a case of tomatoes had increased by $20, they were no longer putting tomatoes on the salads. I was not angry but did cancel order because I didn't want it without the tomatoes. Before I had a chance to think of something else and put in an order she called me back saying that they did have some and would put them on. I am happy but hope they don't have to omit them on future orders. I do understand, groceries are sooooo expensive now, but tomatoes on my salad are important to me. read more

We were looking for a restaurant to replace Bubbalou's and tried Keller's. We ordered our usual ribs, shredded pork, chicken, okra, Brunswick stew. Pleased to see that they have salads on the menu. Will be trying them in the future. The food was all delicious! The ribs were very meaty although we asked for the mustard base BBQ sauce which they said they had but it wasn't a mustard-based sauce. Maybe we didn't get any in our takeout order. The Baked Beans were just okay since I don't like fat in it, but tasty. The fried okra was excellent. The meals were enough for 8 adult dinners. The fries and green beans felt like something you might get at a cafeteria and the meat was so finely sliced that it was a little dry. The Texas toast was delicious, and was cooked to perfection. The experience was pretty neutral, and nothing I would recommend driving out of your way for. I will say that the pricing is fantastic and you will get a great deal on their lunch specials. Got an order last Wednesday for a Thanksgiving meal the following day. Generally the order was OK quality, but it has slipped over the years. Specifically, the one pound of pulled pork had half burnt ends. I filled out the form on their website to call me, no response. I reached out in Facebook messenger with contact details, no response. I did call the restaurant and the manager added my name to a list for take care of me for my next order. Interestingly, when I got there I did have to wait 10-15 mins past pickup time. I believe either the manager or a senior person packed the order, so I would had a belief I was in the clear. I've had random issues before, so I'd recommend double checking your order ahead of time. I understand during the holidays, there can be limited staff or isssues. That said, I tend to support businesses where owners follow up on them. Their sliced Beef is amazing! I've rarely even seen sliced beef at any other BBQ restaurant. It's sliced so thin and you can just pick it up and eat it like is 50 buck a pound prosciutto. Slather it in one of 3 BBQ sauces or just eat it up plain. It's the reason to go to Kellers, IMHFO. Since I'm trying to eat less meat, and more specifically, less red meat, I decided to try the turkey. And OMMFG, this turkey was so moist, so tender, and so delicious. I have never had turkey taste so good, and I've had Del Taco's Turkey Tacos (which are good too). Anyway, it came with two pieces of garlic bread so I just decided to make me a turkey sandwich. And you know the meat is good when you don't need to add a thing to enjoy a sandwich. In the past, I've had their ribs (my favorite in Orlando), brisket (good but I've had better), pulled pork, sliced pork, and probably something I've forgotten. Their meals come with 3 sides and it's more than enough to fill you up. I usually get a salad to balance out the meat-fest, but also some Mac-n-cheese or coleslaw or greens or something. Their sides are all good, but seriously, their meat is the reason to go. You know what's bonkers? On Mondays, they have all you can eat. They have a number of different options, but the cheapest one includes the sliced beef. Do yourself a favor and head to Kellers and try this stuff. The first thing I noticed was how clean it looked even though the decor was rustic, & there was some fun original art painted on the walls. Your website says no reservations. I walked in at 5:00 tonight and said there would be 8-10 of us. I noticed two tables that could easily be put together. I was told by one of the staff "there might not be a place to sit; you should have called ahead". I replied " do you want us to go someplace else?" She replied "you may have to". If it was up to me I would have left. Thankfully two other employees jumped in and made room for us. They were excellent and took great care of us. Heidi took excellent care of us and actually bumped this review from a 4 star to a 5 star rating with her excellent customer service, great personality and attention to detail. From the minute we walked in until the time we left Heidi was on top of her game. It's been a hot minute since we've been to Keller's but we look forward to returning shortly. We ended up ordering off of the lunch special menu which comes with a nice assortment of 3 different sides to choose with your entrée and most all of the items are under $10. The salads came out quickly and the entrees followed in an appropriate time afterwards. They also have a nice choice of beers too if you're in the mood. The kitchen was filthy with trash on the floor etc. with all this being said I was shocked to see 2 employees sitting down looking at videos and the dining room was dirty. Dry bad customer service. You walk in and it's an old style diner atmosphere with southern bbq theme. Walk in, seat yourself, and someone will come around to great you. Their lunch specials are available every day of the week. It was a decent sized meat portion for a lunch sized meal (but smaller than typical at a restaurant) and come with 3 sides of your choice, +2 slices of bread. They have three barbecue sauces to choose from,: sweet, mustard-based, and hot. Be sure to shake up the hot a little bit before pouring. The hot and sweet mixed together is pretty good. I didn't care for the mustard-based at all. Being a Kansas girl born and raise, I lived off barbecue. Here are my observations: The meat (smoked brisket) was moist, but overly fatty. (You want a good balance, about 50-55% of my meat was fat. That's too much!) The meat was well cooked but REAL BBQ doesn't need sauce. This needs sauce for flavor. I had the green beans, coleslaw, and mashed potatoes and gravy as my 3 sides. Plus 2 pieces of buttered Texas toast. Green beans were pretty good, the mashed potatoes were great (loved the gravy!). Now, for a BBQ restaurant, the coleslaw was lacking. With all of that said, I'd eat all of these foods again(ok, not the slaw, it was too plain). The prices were pretty good and you get a lot of food overall. I'd give the food a 3.5 and the rest of the experience a 4.5. So, 4 stars it is. Friendly staff members. We did feel a little rushed to put in our order even though we had just told them it was our first time here, but I don't think they meant to come off that way. A nice, small bbq place tucked away near a corner off to the side of a Walmart. I have been here twice now with my son. And the second time was just as good as the first. This time my son decided upon the chicken tender meal with sides - greens, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. He said the chicken was great , nicely seasoned and especially tasty with the sweet sauce. The m&c was good. The only thing he wasn't a fan of was the gravy on the potatoes. I ordered the plate with sliced pork and ribs. Everything was fantastic and so filling. The ribs were tender as was the pork, and with the sauce the flavor just exploded. Top all of this off with a salad AND garlic bread, and we were stuffed for a couple days. The entire crew was diligent with Covid precautions, the menu is available digitally, and all were wearing masks. Also, we hit the timing just right and we were the only ones there to eat. My brother introduced me to this location in a nice strip mall near what I hear is a good ice cream place and a Bath and Body Works. He called in the order for pickup, and the girl estimated 10-15 minutes. We showed up in 10 and sure enough our food was ready! I noticed that they sell their hot sauce in house for around $3 initially then refills for around $1.90 which is a pretty good deal I'd learn once I tried their sauces. Now I'm not a big BBQ person, but the sauces were impressive. I got the Pulled Pork lunch platter with Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, and baked beans as my sides. I mixed the hot BBQ (which has the best kick to it) with the flavorful original and it provided a pretty satisfying experience. The pulled pork had a lot of charred pieces which were enjoyable. Mac & cheese was pretty standard but provided a nice palette cleanser which is always needed with super flavorful foods at times. The mashed potatoes were pretty tasty, hints of butter and garlic poking through to the point where I didn't use the gravy at all. The baked beans were my least favorite, but had some interesting sweeter flavors happening. It wasn't bad by any means, just more sweet than smokey as I prefer when my beans are baked. I was almost thinking pineapple juice but don't feel confident that that's the flavor I picked up on. Overall, pretty good! I'd probably change up my order a bit and DEFINITELY buy a jar or two of hot sauce if I lived close enough to do refills. It's actually worth buying even knowing I can't refill. This 3-star review has nothing to do with the staffing here nor the quality of the food. Keller's is actually my second-favorite BBQ in the Orlando areas, with 4 Rivers Smokehouse being the first. I enjoy the pulled pork sandwich just as much as anywhere else and I've even tried the chicken caesar wrap. Both delicious options. The BBQ sauces are tasty and the restaurant has that classic, small-town vibe working for it from the inside. The problem I have with this place is it's customer-base. It's not that often I go places where the people treat us homophobic. But the last time we were here, one of the guests rudely accused of us staring when all we were doing was looking at our phones and trying to enjoy our lunch. At the same time, another family on the other side of the restaurant had an irate guest who had had too much to drink. This isn't the first time the guests have made us feel unwelcome at this restaurant and I fear it won't be the last. The sideways glances are just not needed when we only want to have a date-out, just like everyone else. And without sounding too judgmental, I find that rednecks aren't the only personalities in this neighborhood who enjoy a good BBQ. Otherwise, this is a great place to stop for a meal in the Altamonte Springs area. The waiting staff and cooks have always been respectful. We went to Keller's last night for a family dinner and I rather enjoyed my experience. It is a small casual restaurant in a shopping plaza, so there is ample parking available. It is also set up where you seat yourself, so when we walked in to get a table for a party of 6, the staff was very helpful and helped us rearrange tables so that we could see everyone together. The platters here are very generous and fairly priced. Two couples at our table ordered platters to share because they come with lots of meat, bread, and three sides and ring in around $15. I ordered a brisket sandwich with a side of macaroni and cheese, which was a decent amount of food for $9. My brisket was tender and flavorful and I did not use much sauce because the brisket was so tasty alone. The mac and cheese was thick and cheesy... it was amazing and I highly recommend! They also have specials a few nights of the week, including all you can eat on Mondays from 3 pm to close and on another night they have domestic drafts under $2! (I can't remember which night) All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will certainly be back! read more

I'm extremely disgusted by the non-service I just received from this establishment. My family of three came in to dine and NO ONE came over to the table to greet us or take our order. To make matters worse, a young white couple came in and was immediately greeted, brought menus and their order was taken. Even after that NO ONE still came to our table.
