2 sampler with pulled pork, brisket, Mac and cheese, and green beans
    Ash W.

Unfortunately, I did not have a good meal here. I don't live nearby, but I'm in the area every couple of months. I will start off saying that all of the employees were friendly and helpful. It's my first time here, I got the pulled pork and brisket with Mac and cheese and green beans. I was excited, the place is busy and clean, great way to start. My food came out fairly quickly and grabbed it and sat down. I took two bites of the pulled pork and almost coughed b/c of how salty it was. Not just a little bit, but it was overpowering. So I just moved on yo the brisket. It was pretty good, but I was still tasting overwhelming salt from the pork. The Mac and cheese didn't have much cheese. The green beans were fine. When I got up to leave, a manager or someone who was checking on customers, asked if I needed a box. I politely declined and explained how salty it all was. He said it was just their seasoning. Then he offered to replace it with something, again, I declined. I was just tired and ready to leave at that point. The manager was very nice and concerned that I wasn't happy with it. Seeing everyone else enjoying everything in a very busy restaurant made me realize that either I just happened to get an overly seasoned part of pork, or I'm just getting more sensitive to salt after some medical stuff. Overall, I will probably try it again to be fair.

This was my first time trying City Barbeque and I decided to do drive thru. The person who took my order was nice and patient with answering all my questions. I ordered the LoLo's Pulled Pork sandwich with Loaded Cheesey Bacon Fries. The sandwich had pulled pork with coleslaw and was a very good combination of salty and sweet. The bread of the sandwich was super soft as well. The cheese fries had plenty of cheese which is always a plus in my book and the bacon was crisp. Since I ate in my car I don't really know what the inside of City BBQ looks like. Overall for drive thru bbq it was really good and if you're in a rush for a good bbq sandwich without dining in a restaurant City Bbq is the perfect place to go.

New favorite BBQ restaurant, finally able to visit city bbq and have a great experince. Casual family friendly atmosphere. Has inside and outside seating and a drive -thu. Great variety of meats and plates. I got the 3 meat platter with turkey, brisket and chicken and two sides baked beans, fried okra and a corn bread. Everything was so delicious and meat are so juicy and tender and flavorful. Great variety of bbq sauces to a Excellent customer service, staff is so welcoming and friendly. They else have a rewards program, when you first sign up you get a $5off your order.

Our first time to visit this place: Monty at the register was extremely detailed, helpful, and kind. He gave us recommendations and took his time to explain the menu. The restaurant is casual and very fun, with lively music playing thru the speakers The food? The ribs were extremely tender... even the thicker cuts, I was very surprised that they were so tender. The brisket was also a major highlight... slap either the regular, sweet, or tangy sauces on this and it's absolutely wonderful. I liked the potato salad also, but wasn't a huge fan of the cornbread (very nice texture, but the taste was a little awkward for me.) We will definitely be back with our girls though. This is a definite one to revisit!! Ps... we're about to do the chocolate cake for dessert. If it's even half as good as it looks, that'll be another highlight :)

I've literally been here enough times that they know me by name, so I don't know why I haven't left a review yet. I love City Barbecue so much, and for a place that looks like a regular fast food joint, they have some of the best barbecue I've ever had in Orlando! They recently brought out their pork tips, which are slow roasted and then like glazed with ambrosia or something, I don't know. But we should've ordered five orders of that! It was amazing. I've gone to other barbecue spots all over Orlando, but City Barbecue is the closest to what you would get if you were at someone's house and they had a BBQ master barbecuing in the backyard. Hands-down, the best place ever if you're one of those people who thinks 4 Rivers or even Sonny's barbecue is a good place, please come here and have your mind blown.

Loveee this place!!!! Don't know if they have other locations in Orlando but this has to be the best one hands down. Exceptional service, China is the best cashier, hostess, honestly she always gives the best customer service. My dad loves coming to eat here because of her and the ribs and cornbread

What I loved: hush puppies, baked beans, and Texas Pete Pepper Sauce (which weren't just refilled with vinegar-- it was actually fresh and new!). I appreciated: the variety of soda options, place was clean (but some of the utensils were not clean and had to pick it out), staff were friendly when encountered (placing order/picking up food), to-go containers were nice. Now the bbq: they were ok. Unfortunately, my ribs were dry but edible. I tasted the husby's brisket and pork, for me they lacked in flavor and also dry (in comparison to other bbq places). We made a plate of all the sauces, but none of them made me want more after trying (*shock, this is coming from a sauce girly; plus husby agreed too)-- this made me appreciate the availability of the Texas Pete Pepper Sauce even more. Would I choose to come back-- probably not, only because there are other bbq joints in the area that actually have me craving for their bbq. I wouldn't make my choice based on sides. If someone else really wanted to go here and invited me along, would I join? Sure. This was my first time trying City Bbq and maybe it was just an off day.

We came in for lunch and had a solid experience! You order at the counter and seat yourself, which I prefer at BBQ spots. Service was fast. I got the Dirty Bird sandwich with a side of fries. I asked for no bacon, but got my order with bacon on top. I didn't mind because it's just a preference for me and I could take it off, but for people with dietary restrictions that would be problematic. The portion size is good and I loved the flavor. I wish the chicken itself was a bit more moist, but the flavor and construction of the sandwich was great. The fries were fresh. I also loved the pitmaster nachos and fried pickles. My coworkers loved their greens, okra, and brisket. All the sauces were solid. The atmosphere was nice, but loud. I wish they used pagers instead of shouting your name. If you don't mind it though, the energy is nice. Overall, this is a good barbecue place with a fun menu.

Stopped in for dinner, a fast food style bbq place but delicious. Sadly this meal started off a bit disappointing as they released a new pastrami but we're already sold out for the day. I ordered the Brisket sandwich instead and it was moist, but definitely could have been smokier in flavor. Not bad for a chain restaurant. We ordered 3-Cheese Baked Mac, Baked Beans with Brisket, and Coleslaw for the sides. The baked beans were good and just the right amount of sweet. The Mac and cheese was great as it was cheesy and not too dry as most of these places tend to be. The coleslaw was nothing special. You order at the counter and then pick up your order. Prices were very reasonable and a good cheaper option in the area for lunch or dinner.

Solid 4.5 stars for some tasty BBQ. We came here on the recommendation of a friend who has dined here previously. We arrived around 7pm and the restaurant was empty but we were greeted warmly by everyone. I love the open kitchen concept and the seating area was nice and clean. I originally wanted a Pick 2 with Ribs and brisket but there is a $3 up charge for each of those items. Our cashier who I believe was named Leanny, was super helpful and suggested we order the City Sampler and then add ribs on the side as a combo since they aren't a part of the sampler. Ordering this way saved a few dollars. We headed over to the sauce bar to choose our sauces which they have everything from original to spicy. I got a little bit of the original, sweet and swine sauce which is a vinegar based sauce. The city sampler comes with 4 meats. We chose brisket, chicken, sausage and pulled pork with a side salad and 3 cheese baked mac. For the rib combo we ordered half rack St Louis ribs with potato salad and collard greens. Whatever you do get the pulled pork and pair it with the Swine Sauce at the sauce bar. It was delicious! Everything had a good flavor. My only disappointment was that the brisket and ribs were a little dry in my opinion. I usually ask for the fatty brisket when I visit a BBQ restaurant but I forgot to ask for that. The sausage, chicken and pulled pork were the stars of the show. All were cooked perfectly. The sides were all good too! The mac n cheese was so good as well as the potato salad and collard greens. We ended up bringing left overs home as expected. I can't wait to visit again and check out other items on the menu.

I finally had the opportunity to dine here. I wanted to get some BBQ ribs so I went with a friend, and we chose to dine-in. Even though I knew that I wanted ribs, it still took us a minute to decide on our final orders. I still decided to order the ribs with no sauce, so that I could choose the sauce(s) that I wanted at the sauce bar. The ribs were very tender, easy to get off of the bone and delicious. I was quite happy with this choice, so happy that I had forgot to take photos before digging in. I definitely will be coming back here for the ribs. It wasn't very busy inside so dining inside was a nice experience. There was plenty of available tables to choose from and it wasn't too loud. The tables were clean and the sauce/fountain drink/napkin area was clean and organized.

The Rundown: efficient and flavorful BBQ chain with a friendly team who focuses on cooked meets. The Review: I first encountered City BBQ at an expo and the samples were fantastic. I was surprised how open the location is, with nice outdoor seating. I was met by Jaylene who walked me through the offerings with patience and offered a great first impression. Kudos to her! I was given my cup and was glad to see lemonade was offered. The food arrived shortly after (fried okra, Mac N cheese, pulled pork sandwich) First impression: what unique fried okra! And wow is that bun shiny. The okra was phenomenal. I've never had it with breading like this and it was wonderfully crispy and okra tasted refreshing. The Mac and cheese was pretty standard, nothing to necessarily wow. The sandwich was very oily, which I guess comes with the territory. They offer a variety of sauces which is handy, and allows you to season to your liking. Overall, the food was pretty good but I was surprised how oily the sandwich was and it made a big mess. But it's BBQ, so gotta expect that! I've just never really had this oily an experience before so that was kind of odd. Between the service, atmosphere (open and clean with variety of seating options), if you're in the mood for quick BBQ this place will likely satisfy. Pricing is a bit above average, bordering on full service prices, but need to realize the attention put into the meat processes to understand it is rather reasonable. Just likely not something you'll be eating at often. Also - They offer drive thru but I definitely recommend if eating in is an option to go that route. You'll still get your food served quick but can appreciate the sit down experience. And the app is worth downloading to get in on their rewards!

Wanted to try this new place. The ambiance is very casual. They have large smokers on the side of the building and since the place is so new it definitely had a shiny new feel. We got the brisket sandwich. We weren't asked if wanted lean or fatty and the cuts we received were good. The sides were OK. The fried okra felt more like cut okra fried up in a pan and sprinkled with the left over fried breading. If you scooped some breading with the okra then it tasted like traditional southern fried okra. The Mac and cheese was OK. Creamy but not particularly cheesy. The sauce bar was good. I really like the brush fire, the original was OK. I feel like other bbq places original is better. Sweet tea was properly sweet and they have unsweet tea so you can find your right balance.

My brother and I deliberate days before on meeting up and with little hesitation, we opted for the Ravenous Pig! Securing a table reservation we instead opted to sit on the pub side where the TVs are. Soon after sitting down, we were greeted by Christina who was our server for the afternoon! Now this is Brunch Mode at the Ravenous Pig with a brunch style menu and beautiful rays on Sunshine which can feel quite different if you're used to having meals or drinks here for dinner where it can be quite busier and a different vibe! Today's visit was comfortable in the pub, lite in the dining room floor and nearly full outside in the beer garden. I settled in with the current version of the Gin and Jam! It tends to change as products become available with the underlying truth being a lite and refreshing cocktail to start with. This version is well done overall! Food wise we started with the Croquettes which had a sausage in them which brought good flavor paired with the crunchy exterior and white sauce on the plate resulted in an appetizing dish. Continuing on, the Sparkling Tea on menu is fantastic! As a side beverage or even mocktail form, it's a great Bev. We went with that and with the Magic game about to start, I went with the IT GOES TO ELEVEN cocktail! Boozy, Bright and Veracious! With these drinks in hand, we decided to move forward with more food and after consulting with Christina, we went with the Huckleberry pancake and the miso butter ribs. Without a doubt, the Huckleberry pancake was the standout star of the two dishes! A light pancake with great flavor and depth that doesn't fill you up but is a great sweeter dish that I can see Incorporated with a more savory brunch item like bacon and eggs as an example. Overall a great time for brunch! Shout out to Brian, Costa (the GOAT) and Scott for keeping it real and just being great individuals overall!

The snapper collar tacos were the star of the show. Easily enough to share between two people, with fresh fish and really good homemade corn tortillas. The fish of the day was also excellent and the fresh ciabatta with garlic butter was hard to stop eating. The cauliflower appetizer missed the mark a bit for me, the pieces were a little too big and came out slightly undercooked. The chicken salad was just alright, nothing bad but nothing memorable either. Parking can be a little tough in the area, but the complimentary valet makes it much easier. I love that they have a quicker option out back with the beer garden, you can't go wrong!

Incredibly disappointed in the TLB. I've been a fan for a long time, especially their dry aged…read moremeats, and am more than willing to pay for this type of product. Today, though, I noticed them selling Japanese Wagyu as: Sake Infused Dry Aged A9 Kobe Strip. This is a very scammy way of selling a product. First, meat is graded broadly on three scales - USDA (choice, prime), BMS (beef marbling scale - common in Aus), and the Japanese grading scale. (A1-A5, with most high end steaks being A4 or the gold standard, A5). https://meatnbone.com/blogs/the-clever-cleaver/meat-beef-grading-system-understanding A9 doesn't exist. A BMS 9 could be an A5. But this is mislabeled. They have also used the term A11 in their instagram account. Maybe they are confusing BMS for A-scale, or maybe they are intentionally trying to make their product seem better than competitors. Furthermore, not all Japanese Wagyu is Kobe beef. Kobe beef refers to Tajima cattle raised in Hyogo Japan. The export of this beef is highly regulated to only certain restaurants and purveyors, who will display a seal and certificate certifying the origin of the beef. It is rare, expensive, and most importantly, Bush Brothers (Local Butcher's wholesale purveyor) is not certified to sell, nor do they use in any way, the term Kobe Beef. So it is incredibly likely that this product is mislabeled. This isn't illegal (Kobe beef doesn't have a TM in the US), but it is disingenuous. https://www.kobe-niku.jp/en/contents/certification/index.html https://instagram.com/bushbros Next, "sake infused"is incredibly confusing. Is it referring to the myth that Kobe cattle are massaged with sake? Is it referred to the use of koji (fermented cooked rice) which is often used as an aging accelerant? Or did they really take Japanese Wagyu and infuse (inject, soak?) with sake? And why on earth would you do that!? It would be like making sangria with a bottle of DRC. This product is likely a A5 strip loin (which Bush Bros. does carry) that has been aged. Market price would be somewhere around $175-185/lb. (An unaged cut would be around $150/lb.) When I asked for more information on the most expensive cut of meat in their shop, I was treated with disdain and a dismissive attitude. Neither member of the staff could answer my questions other than to say "It's the highest grade of Kobe beef." To charge $215 dollars for a grade that doesn't exist, for a steak that isn't from Kobe, with an aging method that seems dubious at best, is disingenuous and plays on a lack of consumer knowledge. If The Local Butcher themselves don't know the differences here, they shouldn't sell this product. If they do, they should be ashamed of themselves.

We sat right next to the kitchen and could see all the yummy food coming out to the tables. I ordered the Prime Brisket Smashburger and it totally hit the spot! Especially with those golden fried potato bits on the side. On the way out we had to stop by the donut bar. The donuts are made fresh and loaded with toppings. I got the Sm'Oreo and he got the Bacon Blast. Both were incredible!

5 Star update for one of my new favorite brunch spots! (Get the brisket-stacked pancakes ASAP)…read more I love S&D for lunch, but recently got to try out their brunch on a Saturday morning with some girlfriends and it was FABULOUS. First off, note that they have added a vinyl DJ area (so fun!) and now offer table service (perfect for ordering more brunch cocktails!). My favorite brunch dishes I got to try were the brisket-stacked pancakes and the brisket egg & cheese sandwich. The pancakes are made with donut batter and have a hint of citrus. I was offered regular maple syrup or a bourbon version and obviously went with the latter. The brisket was perfection and made this dish the best representation of salty-sweet decadence. I can't imagine ordering anything else for brunch now that I've tried this... And yet, I got to try my friend's brisket egg & cheese sandwich and holy cow the caramelized onions took it to another level. if you're looking for something featuring eggs for breakfast- this is a must. In terms of drinks, I liked their peach spritz. It wasn't too sweet and it was a hearty pour! And even better- they made me a great cortado, so don't forget to get a well-made espresso drink while you're there. Previous lunch review: 5 Stars because I am OBSESSED with this family-owned barbeque spot (their food, staff, bar program, etc!)! My sisters had been raving about Smoke & Donuts for a while now because it's super family-friendly and they go with their group of friends (and their kids) often. They talked up the food, of course, but it is the staff that really sells them. It's family-owned and everyone there is an absolute joy whenever I've been. They offer everyone free little donut holes with their orders and they remember you like you're part of the family. I've enjoyed the brisket (WOW) and the pulled chicken- Both are standouts! Something else on the menu that totally surprised me and stayed on my mind was the mac & cheese side. It's so unusual, but I am a big fan! It's got a rich flavor and then an almost sweet aftertaste. Trust me- somehow it works and you'll want more! And for the vegetarians- they have pulled jackfruit available to satisfy their barbeque cravings. Love the inclusivity with that option. In terms of donuts, my fave is The Lou, featuring a maple-bourbon glaze, heath, Hershey's chips, and brisket burnt ends. That salty, sweet combo is unbeatable!
