    Beef Brisket Sandwich

Great bbq, easy parking, friendly service! Located by full sail at university and Semoran, this is a great bbq spot. You can smell the bbq from a block away! I've had the loaded potato and it was fantastic. Most recently I got the brisket sandwich and it was terrific. They have a station to add onion, jalapeños, etc so you can make it the way you like it with their selection of bbq sauces. They also have amazing French fries! The type you get at the fair that requires malt vinegar. Plenty of parking and super friendly staff! I've you're looking for good bbq this is definitely worth a try!

The service here was awesome. I told the cashier it was my first time and after I ordered he brought me a sample of beans to try. I normally don't like beans but I decided to give them a try and I'll definitely get them next time. I believe the cashiers name was Hector. He was super kind and helped with all of my questions. I got the turkey sandwich which was really good and moist. The fries I would probably skip next time, same with the collard's. There was a bit too much vinegar taste to the collard's for my liking. I liked how nice and clean inside is. It definitely feels like a bbq restaurant. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be stopping here again. It was so good I forgot to take pictures of my food.

Ok so first of all it's pretty expensive but it was a lot of food so I get it. Plus ... BRISKET. The brisket was ok. The fries were soggy but I know it was our fault since we got there like 20 or so minutes after the pick up time. We didn't go inside but the outside is well kept. Looks clean and well maintained. The fried okra was good and the Mac and cheese too. I LOOOVVVEEE the collard greens. I just wish it didn't have pork. I will be back but I don't know how often. I didn't really like the chicken not gonna lie. The brisket was decent but not what I was expecting. The brush fire sauce is soooooo yummy. I'm glad I tried it. Like I said I'll probably be back but I just don't know when.

I can't believe I have slept on this place so long. IT IS AMAZING! The BBQ here is something that my husband literally wanted the next day. The employees here are so wonderful and helpful when I was trying to navigate the menu for the first time and suggested I pick the three meat platter so we could try a bit of everything. My husband and I split it as there was so much food! Sitting inside I loved the vibe. Very open with lots of seating and it was a busy day I can see this place being very lively in a positive way. The condiment bar had pickles which always is a bonus for me. You can also get real plates and silverware to sit down with which was great! My favorite is the corn pudding. SO SO SO good just like my mom makes. the brisket was incredible too. The beans actually have that brisket mixed in which was a bonus. Love it here. Will be back. Join the rewards program and wrack up some free grub pretty quickly!

This was my first time trying City Barbeque and I decided to do drive thru. The person who took my order was nice and patient with answering all my questions. I ordered the LoLo's Pulled Pork sandwich with Loaded Cheesey Bacon Fries. The sandwich had pulled pork with coleslaw and was a very good combination of salty and sweet. The bread of the sandwich was super soft as well. The cheese fries had plenty of cheese which is always a plus in my book and the bacon was crisp. Since I ate in my car I don't really know what the inside of City BBQ looks like. Overall for drive thru bbq it was really good and if you're in a rush for a good bbq sandwich without dining in a restaurant City Bbq is the perfect place to go.

New favorite BBQ restaurant, finally able to visit city bbq and have a great experince. Casual family friendly atmosphere. Has inside and outside seating and a drive -thu. Great variety of meats and plates. I got the 3 meat platter with turkey, brisket and chicken and two sides baked beans, fried okra and a corn bread. Everything was so delicious and meat are so juicy and tender and flavorful. Great variety of bbq sauces to a Excellent customer service, staff is so welcoming and friendly. They else have a rewards program, when you first sign up you get a $5off your order.

Omg! I was blown away by the customer service here everyone was so kind especially T & David! They helped me so much since it was me and my husband's first time getting BBQ here! The food was absolutely amazing! I will be coming back here ASAP! The best for me was the brisket, the baked beans, and the corn casserole!! Everything was 10/10!!!

Unfortunately, I did not have a good meal here. I don't live nearby, but I'm in the area every couple of months. I will start off saying that all of the employees were friendly and helpful. It's my first time here, I got the pulled pork and brisket with Mac and cheese and green beans. I was excited, the place is busy and clean, great way to start. My food came out fairly quickly and grabbed it and sat down. I took two bites of the pulled pork and almost coughed b/c of how salty it was. Not just a little bit, but it was overpowering. So I just moved on yo the brisket. It was pretty good, but I was still tasting overwhelming salt from the pork. The Mac and cheese didn't have much cheese. The green beans were fine. When I got up to leave, a manager or someone who was checking on customers, asked if I needed a box. I politely declined and explained how salty it all was. He said it was just their seasoning. Then he offered to replace it with something, again, I declined. I was just tired and ready to leave at that point. The manager was very nice and concerned that I wasn't happy with it. Seeing everyone else enjoying everything in a very busy restaurant made me realize that either I just happened to get an overly seasoned part of pork, or I'm just getting more sensitive to salt after some medical stuff. Overall, I will probably try it again to be fair.

Our first time to visit this place: Monty at the register was extremely detailed, helpful, and kind. He gave us recommendations and took his time to explain the menu. The restaurant is casual and very fun, with lively music playing thru the speakers The food? The ribs were extremely tender... even the thicker cuts, I was very surprised that they were so tender. The brisket was also a major highlight... slap either the regular, sweet, or tangy sauces on this and it's absolutely wonderful. I liked the potato salad also, but wasn't a huge fan of the cornbread (very nice texture, but the taste was a little awkward for me.) We will definitely be back with our girls though. This is a definite one to revisit!! Ps... we're about to do the chocolate cake for dessert. If it's even half as good as it looks, that'll be another highlight :)

I've literally been here enough times that they know me by name, so I don't know why I haven't left a review yet. I love City Barbecue so much, and for a place that looks like a regular fast food joint, they have some of the best barbecue I've ever had in Orlando! They recently brought out their pork tips, which are slow roasted and then like glazed with ambrosia or something, I don't know. But we should've ordered five orders of that! It was amazing. I've gone to other barbecue spots all over Orlando, but City Barbecue is the closest to what you would get if you were at someone's house and they had a BBQ master barbecuing in the backyard. Hands-down, the best place ever if you're one of those people who thinks 4 Rivers or even Sonny's barbecue is a good place, please come here and have your mind blown.

What I loved: hush puppies, baked beans, and Texas Pete Pepper Sauce (which weren't just refilled with vinegar-- it was actually fresh and new!). I appreciated: the variety of soda options, place was clean (but some of the utensils were not clean and had to pick it out), staff were friendly when encountered (placing order/picking up food), to-go containers were nice. Now the bbq: they were ok. Unfortunately, my ribs were dry but edible. I tasted the husby's brisket and pork, for me they lacked in flavor and also dry (in comparison to other bbq places). We made a plate of all the sauces, but none of them made me want more after trying (*shock, this is coming from a sauce girly; plus husby agreed too)-- this made me appreciate the availability of the Texas Pete Pepper Sauce even more. Would I choose to come back-- probably not, only because there are other bbq joints in the area that actually have me craving for their bbq. I wouldn't make my choice based on sides. If someone else really wanted to go here and invited me along, would I join? Sure. This was my first time trying City Bbq and maybe it was just an off day.

We came in for lunch and had a solid experience! You order at the counter and seat yourself, which I prefer at BBQ spots. Service was fast. I got the Dirty Bird sandwich with a side of fries. I asked for no bacon, but got my order with bacon on top. I didn't mind because it's just a preference for me and I could take it off, but for people with dietary restrictions that would be problematic. The portion size is good and I loved the flavor. I wish the chicken itself was a bit more moist, but the flavor and construction of the sandwich was great. The fries were fresh. I also loved the pitmaster nachos and fried pickles. My coworkers loved their greens, okra, and brisket. All the sauces were solid. The atmosphere was nice, but loud. I wish they used pagers instead of shouting your name. If you don't mind it though, the energy is nice. Overall, this is a good barbecue place with a fun menu.

Stopped in for dinner, a fast food style bbq place but delicious. Sadly this meal started off a bit disappointing as they released a new pastrami but we're already sold out for the day. I ordered the Brisket sandwich instead and it was moist, but definitely could have been smokier in flavor. Not bad for a chain restaurant. We ordered 3-Cheese Baked Mac, Baked Beans with Brisket, and Coleslaw for the sides. The baked beans were good and just the right amount of sweet. The Mac and cheese was great as it was cheesy and not too dry as most of these places tend to be. The coleslaw was nothing special. You order at the counter and then pick up your order. Prices were very reasonable and a good cheaper option in the area for lunch or dinner.

So we ended up with a portion of the pork rib, the pulled pork and the pork belly. The pork ribs was really good, although my husband didn't like the glaze that they had on the rib but the meat was delicious. The pulled pork was very good not fatty, which is fantastic. The pork belly is cut into giant chunks. It is very tasty. It does have a decent amount of fat on it. This location also has a variety of sides to choose from. We opted for the collard greens and the mac & cheese. The collard greens were good. They could've been cooked a little bit longer. As some of the pieces were a bit crunchy. The mac & cheese was good although the cheese sauce felt a little gooey and we attributed to that they may use a rue to make their sauce. The steak frites are just as magnificent as my boyfriend and I remembered. Have you ever had a food memory? Years ago, my dad made the best steak I've ever had. He passed away when I was a kid, and two summers ago, when I took my first bite of the steak here, my mouth watered... but so did my eyes. It was one of the strangest, most beautiful experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. For a moment, it felt like Dad was sitting at the table with us. To taste something so familiar, something I hadn't experienced in over twenty years, was surreal. That's not a compliment I hand out lightly. So we each had that For this visit, we started with the rock shrimp tacos, and they absolutely did not disappoint. They packed a nice little kick without overwhelming the dish, and we practically inhaled them. Of course, we had to finish the meal the same way we did last time: with churros. Somehow they were even better than we remembered. Crispy, warm, perfectly sweet, exactly the kind of dessert that makes you argue over who gets the last bite. My boyfriend ordered two Old Fashioneds, and I had two Cosmos. Both were delicious and definitely generous on the pour. I was a little concerned when we arrived for our 8:00 p.m. reservation because the place was PACKED for a Thursday night. We ended up waiting a bit past our reservation time. The hostess suggested we grab a drink at the bar, but that area was just as crowded, so we hung out in the lobby instead. The wait ended up being completely worth it because we were seated at the exact table I was secretly hoping for: the most perfect little corner window booth, straight out of a movie scene. It was the ideal setting for our last night of vacation. And then there was our server, Anton. Anton could teach a master class on waiting tables. He was efficient, funny, attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what he was doing. In a world where great service sometimes feels like a lost art, Anton was an absolute delight. The Ravenous Pig delivered once again: phenomenal food, excellent cocktails, memorable service, and one of those meals you'll still be talking about long after you've gone home. The snapper collar tacos were the star of the show. Easily enough to share between two people, with fresh fish and really good homemade corn tortillas. The fish of the day was also excellent and the fresh ciabatta with garlic butter was hard to stop eating. The cauliflower appetizer missed the mark a bit for me, the pieces were a little too big and came out slightly undercooked. The chicken salad was just alright, nothing bad but nothing memorable either. Parking can be a little tough in the area, but the complimentary valet makes it much easier. Today, though, I noticed them selling Japanese Wagyu as: Sake Infused Dry Aged A9 Kobe Strip. This is a very scammy way of selling a product. First, meat is graded broadly on three scales - USDA (choice, prime), BMS (beef marbling scale - common in Aus), and the Japanese grading scale. (A1-A5, with most high end steaks being A4 or the gold standard, A5). https://meatnbone.com/blogs/the-clever-cleaver/meat-beef-grading-system-understanding A9 doesn't exist. A BMS 9 could be an A5. But this is mislabeled. They have also used the term A11 in their instagram account. Maybe they are confusing BMS for A-scale, or maybe they are intentionally trying to make their product seem better than competitors. Furthermore, not all Japanese Wagyu is Kobe beef. Kobe beef refers to Tajima cattle raised in Hyogo Japan. The export of this beef is highly regulated to only certain restaurants and purveyors, who will display a seal and certificate certifying the origin of the beef. It is rare, expensive, and most importantly, Bush Brothers (Local Butcher's wholesale purveyor) is not certified to sell, nor do they use in any way, the term Kobe Beef. So it is incredibly likely that this product is mislabeled. This isn't illegal (Kobe beef doesn't have a TM in the US), but it is disingenuous. https://www.kobe-niku.jp/en/contents/certification/index.html https://instagram.com/bushbros Next, "sake infused"is incredibly confusing. Is it referring to the myth that Kobe cattle are massaged with sake? Is it referred to the use of koji (fermented cooked rice) which is often used as an aging accelerant? Or did they really take Japanese Wagyu and infuse (inject, soak?) with sake? And why on earth would you do that!? It would be like making sangria with a bottle of DRC. This product is likely a A5 strip loin (which Bush Bros. does carry) that has been aged. Market price would be somewhere around $175-185/lb. (An unaged cut would be around $150/lb.) When I asked for more information on the most expensive cut of meat in their shop, I was treated with disdain and a dismissive attitude. Neither member of the staff could answer my questions other than to say "It's the highest grade of Kobe beef." To charge $215 dollars for a grade that doesn't exist, for a steak that isn't from Kobe, with an aging method that seems dubious at best, is disingenuous and plays on a lack of consumer knowledge. If The Local Butcher themselves don't know the differences here, they shouldn't sell this product. If they do, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Coming back from New Orleans is tough, especially when this foodie ate his fill of fried chicken…read moreand gumbo. But I had an urge to find some fried chicken that is lightly battered and this place hit the spot. Located just off of Park Avenue and Fairbanks is The Hen & Hog. Got a 6 piece fried chicken anf a few sides which consisted of mac and cheese, fries and a pickled slaw. Juicy freshly fried and ever so gently battered chicken that was crisp with every bite. Definitely some tasty chicken. I really liked the slaw that had garlic onions celery and some other items but it cut through the savoriness of the chicken. Yes, i ate all of it to the bone. Wife also got chicken and waffles which she thoroughly enjoyed. Also had fried banana peppers with a pimento spread. Pretty nice combination. Staff was super helpful. They also have wings with a lot of great sauces to try. That will be my order for next time. Cant wait to come back.

We took our time scanning through all the options and I settled upon the cuban sandwich and my friend had a burger. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. The inside of the restaurant was cute. I really enjoyed the live stream of the cows grazing in the fields. The rustic vibe fit the brand great. It only took a short while to get our food. My cuban was great. The bread was nicely toasted. The meat was extremely juicy on the sandwich. My friend enjoyed the taste of her burger. We both thought the fries had nice crispiness. There were several families enjoying lunch inside while we were in here. I saw they had a brunch menu and think in my next visit I want to experience the chicken and waffles I keep hearing about.

Omg! This is the best BBQ in town. It's not like any other BBQ place. All the other ones I've been…read moreto taste the same. This here is fresh and made everyday. This is not a chain restaurant. The walk inside transports you to a vintage world that is now lost in the past. Very cool and nostalgic feeling. Staff are super nice and work together as a team to get the orders out to the customers. A little bit of a wait but it is worth it, trust me! Satisfaction filled me with a blissful warm belly. They serve you enough that you can finish but you will leave content not stuffed to the point where you just can't move or breath. Can't wait to return for a second round of tender juicy meats with amazing sides to accompany the main dishes.

Out front they have Michelin 2026 on their sign. They're now a sit down restaurant inside of with a vinyl DJ playing jazz. The food is still good, but the atmosphere is a horrible mismatch. I can't even get my own refill of iced tea you have to have your waitress take your plastic cup while you hold your straw to get a refill. I was told to wait at the bar to place an order. Then I stood there for two minutes before being asked if I wanted a menu. Then I waited to place an order. The bartender informed me that he has to make a couple drinks before he can get to my iced tea ( self service wouldn't have this issue) . When I got my to-go iced tea, I had to find my own straw ( once again not an issue with self service). Food was ready to go fast enough. But as I waited the clash of a barbecue place with everyone trying to be upscale when they have anime playing on the TV that you can't hear because they're blaring jazz. The worst part was the cornbread I got was about an inch and a half diameter cupcake. I don't know what they charged me for the cornbread, but it was too much for the Costco free sample size of cornbread I got. I felt like I just ordered the cornbread small plate at an American themed European restaurant. Aside from the cornbread, they do know how to do their food well but they have no direction. Please get rid of the liquor license you only need beer. Get rid of the DJ. Make your cornbread in a pan or a skillet and make it big enough that one hand eating is challenging. This should be an all American barbecue place where it's Fourth of July every day.
