Today my husband went to the Windsor CO Sonic for Butterfinger Blasts. We've gotten them many times in many towns. Today they used gummy, stale, terribly old butterfinger in the blasts. Also, because they wanted to get rid of the heinous product, they put three times the noxious candy into the ice cream. So we scrapped out the largest clumps and ate what we could. The candy's mouthfeel wasn't right in that it was not chewable. They'v'e not had onion rings the times we've eaten there, but trying to kill us with outdated candy is worse. read more

We have been here a few times for ice cream, since we don't eat much of anything else at a place like this. I don't really have any complaints about this Sonic; they have always been good to us. I don't usually eat at Sonic, but I do enjoy their ice cream desserts and this location has always been friendly, consistent on quality, and makes it easy to get in and out. I should be clear that I have never been here during a busy time and I am usually driving through in the evening when everything has slowed down quite a bit. If you like to wait a ridiculous amount of time for your food, then this Sonic is for you. EVERY TIME I go there I think it will be different. Waiting and waiting. It took over 25 minutes today for two drinks and small tator tots. How long does it take to fill up soda and cook 10 tots?? The price and taste just isn't worth it, not going back. read more

Absolutely the worst service I've ever had! waited 25 minutes for a hotdog and some tots and when I hit the red button -she told me that they were extremely busy and that they get to me a soon as they could.. I never carry my cards or id on me bc I have it on my phone and everywhere takes apple pay now. But just in case they don't I always ask before getting anything. I ask the girl at before my order she ignored me. so I assume they did, I'll admit that was my mistake I didn't know I don't go to sonic. I proceeded to order she rushes me through my order not let me finish before she talked. I wasn't finished before she cut me off and told me my total. I ask for fries as my side but I guess that wasn't possible even the the image show the meal came with fries. I ignored and took off the because I did that she seem really frustrated. When she came out she told me the total and I told her I had Apple Pay, and that I asked about it rolled her eyes at me while she walked away I understand people have bad day but working in customer service. Wow - I agree with everyone on Yelp about THIS Sonic. Arrived for lunch at appx 12:05, the lady came on the speaker and said: "Thanks for choosing Sonic, we're looking at about a 20 minute wait, is that OK?" I replied yes that is fine... at 1:20 pm my food finally arrived. The food is BARELY even warm anymore at this point - was it just sitting there? How is this possible? The car-hop did apologize for the extended wait which was nice, but seriously, an hour and 20 minutes for a quarter pounder and a medium tot? NEVER going back to this location. When I finally got to the window, I could see two lazy women standing around and one younger girl working in the back who appeared to be carrying the entire workload by herself. It took 35 minutes to get our food. The girl taking our order wouldn't let my husband finish ordering (kept interrupting him) & then wouldn't answer the call button so he could put in his order. Another poor experience at the local sonic. The first terminal I pulled up to was broken. After finding an available terminal for the second time and after pressing the red button it took nearly five minutes for someone to respond. After placing the order, sonic read the order back which was incorrect... no big deal if that was the only issue though after waiting 10+ minutes a sonic associate came out to my window to tell me that they are out of one of the items I ordered. After another 10 minutes or so he showed back up with our food and requested payment... payment of which I thought I already provided on the self serve terminal... the associate informed me that the self service payment is also broken and that he would have to run back in to finish the transaction. This place is HORRIBLE!!! The food tastes fine but we usually only go for their desserts/drinks and every time we have to wait between 15-30 minutes!! We try to avoid going there altogether but our kids love their slushies. Tonight was the worst out of any of the times we have been there!! My husband and I get there about 8:34 and as we pull in there's only one vehicle and they're already up at the window and we pull in to one of the drive ups and immediately give our order of 3 milkshakes and 1 slushie. As we're waiting and about 5 minutes pass another vehicle pulls into the drive-thru and gets their order about 5-10 minutes later and leave. At about 8:50 my husband decides to go ask what's taking so long and the one in charge gives him attitude right away and then even challenges him by asking if he thinks he could make it faster, when he accepts her challenge she tells him he needs to leave or she's "Gonna call the cops", so at that point he tells her to call them and he comes back out to the car. We would've just left but we had already paid twenty something bucks for 4 drinks. When all was said and done all she did was waste ours and the cops time and gave us a refund that should show back up in our bank account in 2-3 days. Absolutely ridiculous!! read more

Sat in the carport area for 30 minutes waiting for our food. No one in the drive-thru, no one else in any carport... We had to press the button and ask if our food was coming out any time soon. We could see most of the employees quite literally joking around inside during the time our food should have been cooking. Another employee was outside texting. You guys have an 1.8 star rating. Do you not care about this whatsoever? It's clearly been a common experience for dozens of people. The only reason I am not giving it 1 stars is because the food was great (surprisingly) and a sweet girl (the only one visibly working) didn't charge us for the meal and profusely apologized. Don't waste your time. I spent 30 minutes in the drive through, (my order was only 2 drinks) and when I got up to the window I complained and asked if there was anything that could be done and the worker turned to her boss and turned back to me and said "no" in a very snarky tone. Not to mention that once we finally did get our turn at the window, it took another 5 minutes to even get acknowledged. If you want to go to sonic, go to either Loveland or Fort Collins. Do not spend your time or money here. It took them 10 minutes to get on the speaker to take my order. It took them another 12-13 minutes to bring out ONE shake. I had ordered no whipped cream or cherry on it but, as I had expected from the bad service so far, there was whipped cream and a cherry on it. Instead of offering to fix it for me the carhop just asked me if it was ok that they had made my order incorrectly. I work at a sonic and there is no way that my manager would ever be ok with one of us asking if it's ok that we messed up. On top of that, it was extremely slow so there was no reason for service this poor. There's not a lot to do in Windsor but do not come here. It's worth the drive to go somewhere else. read more

The worst sonic I've ever been to. I've tried to go a few times to see if the Sonic would redeem itself, but the day never came. While Sonic has great junk food, the service here is awful. I ordered two blasts. I waited 30 minutes & finally buzzed them again & told them I'd been waiting a while. They repeated my order back to me to make sure they had the previous order right.. it was completely wrong. I told them my order again, they brought out the blasts promptly, but there was NOTHING in the ice cream. & the ice cream was completely melted. The carhop that brought them out to me was, without doubt, extremely high. I guess it doesn't help that no adults seem to work there as I've only seen young high school students. That was just the worst experience I had at this Sonic. There were plenty of other times when I had to wait at least 20 minutes for a 4 count mozzarella stick. read more

The last time I came, I pulled up to the drive-thru speaker, sat there for 3 minutes, said, "hello" multiple times, and NOTHING. So I drove off. Every time I come, the service is HORRIBLY slow. This establishment shows NO progress and continues to miss the mark in every area. PLEASE address the leadership or process problems that prevent this facility from meeting the needs of the community it is supposed to serve. It seems to only stay in business by virtue of the location being near main street and the high school. Any volume this location does is because it's a tertiary choice in a busy area. Unfortunately, trying to save time because it "doesn't look busy" is a TERRIBLE CHOICE for the consumer. On 10/7/2017, I stopped in to grab a grilled chicken sandwich and a sprite. There was two cars in front of me in the drive-thru, and 3 cars in the surrounding stalls. After ordering, I waited nearly 30 minutes in line. I LITERALLY TOOK A 10 MINUTE NAP IN THE DRIVE-THRU LINE! When I awoke, I was still no closer to getting a sandwich. When I finally got to the window, I waited another 4 minutes before the window was opened by a pink haired kid in a sweatshirt. I was "greeted" with no eye contact, no explanation, and nothing more than an open hand and the price. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE or care about representing the establishment. Multiple other staff were in the background, but none made an effort to apologize or explain. Ultimately I received a cold, chewy and very burnt sandwich, with the wrong drink. There was no "have a nice day," or "thanks for coming in". They literally just shut the window in my face. Rest assured, I will never return to this location, nor will any of my friends or family. In-fact, after giving this location a chance to improve for the last 7 + years, I will now do all I can to steer business away from Sonic in hopes of getting another establishment that actually cares. I love most sonic drive in's. This one, however, is the worst one I have ever been to. I have gone 4 times. 2 of the times were late night orders. Both of them the fries were cold and when I called to complain they said they would fix it so I drove all the way back just to have my fries nuked..... The other 2 times my order was screwed up, they gave me fries instead of rings, my wife had tomato and onion on her chicken when she doesn't eat either, and my daughters food, once again, tasted nuked. I spoke to a manager, politely, just to hear him say "I apologize, I will talk to the staff" (in a very smug tone BTW). DO NOT EAT HERE. I've been a frequent customer over the last 4 years. Very disappointed after last night. I ordered ahead on the app like I always do, but this time was a little different. I waited 30 minutes for my order and finally went to the drive through window to ask about my order. I only ordered a drink and a corn dog. The young lady said she would check on it. I waited another 8-10 minutes and did not receive my order. The people in the stall next to me received their order though and I know they came after I did and they ordered after they arrived there because I heard them order! I had somewhere to go but I felt like I was being more than patient with this situation. I ended up leaving without my order even though I had paid for it! I will be talking to the manager. I do know that they were busy but you should have enough help hired to work and accommodate for this. Being under staffed seems to be a common occurrence there!!! read more

I'm sad that I have to choose a star, to be honest if it were up to me I would give this place zero stars. I remember a couple years ago when we first moved to Windsor, reading the reviews for this sonic and they were so bad, yet two years later they've not gotten any better, and the same issues still happen every time I go. I guess you could say this is my goodbye post because I will never go to this sonic again!!!!!!! Tonight I went to get my family some dinner, and only went here because my wife wanted ice cream and I didn't want to drive to foco. BIG MISTAKE!!!! I don't even want to write this because I will sound like a liar, but they messed up every single thing I ordered. Not one thing was correct. And truthfully, I probably wouldn't mind so much if it didn't cost me fifty dollars and an hour of my time to sit in the damn drive thru! To top it off when I came back I told them to please just give me my three orders of popcorn chicken I ordered for my kids so they could eat. Yes you fu€k£d my ice creams, both of them, and miserably, but please just get my kids their food. I asked them to bring my daughter a shake, and they charged me full price. I'm not saying I wanted something free, but you screwed up both my six dollar ice creams..... along with every other part of my order, and made me drive all the way back after waiting for almost an hour in your drive through, and you can't let a shake slide? The kid who handed me my food the first time did not ask if I wanted a receipt, and then didn't give me one. So when I came back I had to answer to them why I didn't have one. And then after charging me full price for a shake even though you screwed up both my ice creams before and the rest of my fifty dollar order, again doesn't give me a receipt. This is honestly the worst sonic I've been to. Food or just drinks even often takes a minimum of 20-25 minutes, this is at any random time I've been here not just the lunch rush. They also screw up my order 9 out of ten times as well. It's so ridiculous it's almost funny, if I order 3 cheeseburgers I'll get them half an hour later with no cheese, if I order hamburgers guess what? They have cheese.... This is now an edit, I will no longer bother coming here but instead we will drive all the way to Loveland when the kids want sonic. I just sat in the drivethru for 15 min for another screwed up order. I get home & call them & this time no one will even answer the phone for the past 30 min. I ordered 1 burger & cheesesticks, not only did the short us on the cheesesticks I said no sauce no onions, the girl repeated the order, no sauce no onions & we get home & guess what? We got sauce & onions. This was not a complicated order, these people are morons, I don't even think it's just the kids anymore, the management must be really horrible for this location to consistently suck so much. Blind leading the blind, this place & the employees are a joke. & to think people flipping burgers want $15 an hour. read more
