IF I could leave less than 1 star, I would!!! I placed an order for a double smashed burger, plain with cheese on a normal bun. I was the only person in line, at that time. William, cashier, was very pleasant, took my payment and complimented my dog. He tells me it will be a few minutes, ok. As I stated earlier, I was the ONLY person in line. I got my food, drove off because there was someone behind me. THIS is where you get a NEGATIVE star; the bun was hard, burger was cold, and the cheese was not melted. If I had not had to wait for them to prepare it for 5 minutes, you might have gotten 1 star. This has happened the past 2 times I've there and I will NEVER go back!!! I usually love coming to this Sonic, but lately they keep forgetting my cheese dip when I order a pretzel. The pretzel itself is good -- warm, soft, salty -- but it's just not the same without the cheese. It's happened several times now, even when I ask them to make sure it's in the bag. It's not a huge thing, but it's frustrating to get home and realize it's missing again. I just want to enjoy the pretzel the way it's supposed to be. The food was amazing however I am extremely upset that they can't follow a simple order instruction of a croissant with only Sausage. This has the been the worst experience at this place. I've never had an issue till now. The workers were extremely nice however especially Alexis helped me when I called her and was able to refund me. Shout out to Alexis. So I was craving an ice cream thing despite never going to a Sonic before. No clue how I even knew to crave it - maybe I passed a billboard once or something? Idk. Very interesting how it's all space age ordering with the boards everywhere. Very futuristic. I thought I heard they had veggie burgers but that's not the case. So, it was simply an Oreo ice cream thing for me. It hit the spot. Not sure I'd ever return but it was an interesting experience to see the roller skating food servers. Best fast food in Summerfield. Besides the fact that they're less expensive than McDonald's, Wendy's, or Burger King; their customer service is unbeatable. Everyone there is so very friendly, they genuinely seem to appreciate their job and their customers. I've been there several times in this last week while I'm in this area, and they haven't missed a single order. Every time has been right on. That's more than I can say even about Chick FIL A. Ordered Coney dog and reg Dog and lg fries and drinks. What is received was a bag with SIX OLD WILTED FRIES AND LARGE DRINKS THAT WERE MAYBE 1/2 full. Sent it all back new bag and drinks. Home opened the bags to old coney with maybe 1 tsp chilie and reg. Dog was raw no condiments and now had 12 9th fries and drinks were the same. this makes the second time that I visited THIS SONIC in Summerfield. The service here is unbelievably slow; to wait five minutes at the order board for someone to take your order and then another 10 to 15 minutes to get a hotdog and 2 drinks. I decreased Sonic by 1 star since my last review as things have gone awry over the last year. Orders have been incorrect, service has been slow, there's a decrease in caring and the grounds have been unkempt. The orders I have always placed are simple without any change ups so there is no excuse for continually getting it wrong let alone sometimes twice. I think the straw that broke the camel's back when again it was wrong and it had to be corrected and it was still wrong again. In the interim I paid for my order and when it was finally delivered, the car hop left without giving me my change. She also was very complacent, ho-hum and in no rush to do anything. The only saving grace over the last few months has been manager Angie who is always smiling and polite. I've always loved this location and I'm hoping soon things will be more favorable. read more

Slowest drive through ever. Waited 40 mins in the drive through for 3 shakes and 4 items of food. Super busy, but still no excuse for the extra long wait. Food was good but never worth that long of a wait. Also waiting in the line for 40 minutes the waitresses serving food to the people in the little pull in spots went down the line basically guessing where the food was, 2 different girls went al the way down the line and had to go to the other side cause all the other cars were the wrong one. Why it took me so long to go to a Sonic is beyond me. I was soo upset that there was no Dairy Queen close to me, the closest one is in Ocala. I actually drove the 35 mile jont with my daughter's, to be thouroghly disappointed. Now that I've been introduced to Sonic, wow, what a place, for ice cream alone. They BLOW Dairy Queen out of the water. I will definitely be a regular Sonic customer. Dairy Queen is long forgotten. Even though theirs no outside seating, just like the Dairy Queen in Ocala, this place is 1000% worth it. The seating is very clean and well kept, their is no problem with flies, unlike the Ocala Dairy Queen. Sonic will get a lot more of my money gladly! read more

I don't come here often, but today after my car wash I was very thirsty. I ordered the Hollis lemonade and their grape nerds Slushy, it took about 20 minutes for me to get the three small drinks I ordered and when they came out there was no ice they were just cups of liquid with floating candy. I am a fan of sonic drive-in restaurants. However the one in Summerfield Florida is not my favorite it's actually the worst one I've been at in a while. They could not get my order right and they tried to charge me 2 more dollars just to get what I ordered. You need to talk very slow when ordering. read more

It's a Sonic. Location is convenient, the food is what it is (basic hamburgers and milkshakes and that stuff). My major complaint though is that certain local chain restaurants, such as the McDonalds on 466, and this particular Sonic, use Light Mayo; which, I'm sorry, is just repulsive, if I want Mayo I want real stuff. Other than that, the burger was fine, good couple of slices of tomato, goodly amount of lettuce, bun was nice and fresh, burger itself was tasty. If you don't use Mayo on it, it's fine, but I do get really annoyed when I ask for Mayo and get "light" stuff. That's just wrong. read more
