My wife initially wanted McDonald's fillet of fish since McDonald's doesn't have root beer which she likes I came to sonic and instead of fries we wanted to have onion rings. These are by far the worst onion rings I've had in my entire life and I'm pretty old all I taste is burning. I taste no onion and the bread is sweet and overly crusty and flavourless. The root beer was spectacular though read more

We placed a mobile order for a drink and popcorn chicken at 3:20. Arrived at Sonic at 3:25 and checked in at our stall through the app. After waiting 10 minutes with no sign of our order, we left because we were late for an appointment. I've been trying to call the store for the past 10 minutes to request a refund and it is a busy signal. Do not recommend. Double thumbs down. read more

Not great. This is why we think twice when you ask for a tip in the app. Mobile order with four individual items and a combo. Combo had a drink and the chicken bites plus tots sides. Food shows up and they ask if I want my receipt. Not really, I have it in the app. I did want the entire order tho. Had to go knock on the window. Shake looking melty. Burger lukewarm. Chicken bites okay but no sauce in bag despite selecting one. Tots fine. Corn dogs only thing actually hot. No napkins provided. Not a good look Sonic. Maybe this should have been a 2. read more

New to Plano. I have enjoyed Sonic at many locations. After two visits to the Custer location, never again! Both times, long wait for order and excuses of "there are only two of us working today". read more

DO NOT ORDER ON THE APP, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!!! 2 months ago- No bacon in my bacon egg and cheese burrito??? I also asked for Baja sauce, didn't get that either A week ago my husband ordered cheddar peppers (should come with ranch) and they forgot it so he waited 20 minutes and never received it. And then this is the third time this week I have gotten a single drink on the app, a Dr Pepper with sweet cream and other stuff, THEY ALWAYS FORGET THE SWEET CREAM!!! Usually they bring me some no problem, no questions asked. But today, the older darker skinned lady with curly hair that usually wears skates (she has been there forever) was so rude and decided to argue with me about if my drink had sweet cream in it. I handed her the drink and told her to remake it. When she can back with my properly made drink I didn't get a sorry, have a good day, nothing. This sonic used to be amazing back in the day but it has gone down the toilet read more

My trip to the Sonic off of Custer and 15th Street in Plano, TX today was horrendous. I first had a order of two orange cream slushes, one small one medium. which to my surprise were the same price, shocking considering the size difference. then my second online order, mozzarella sticks, a chili cheese coney, and a TROPICAL COLADA SLUSH. first off the "tropical colada slush" was red and tasted like cherry. second i only received one container of ranch for my mozzarella sticks, despite marina automatically coming with them. overall, definitely will not be coming back anytime soon. read more

It's Sonic! What's not to love about it? This location is always fast and efficient. I've never had a problem with an order and the staff is always nice and friendly. All the ordering windows and machines seem to work and they deliver your food in a mask. This is a great place for a quick burger and milkshakes. The drinks are really good too and my favorite is the cherry limeade! read more

Decent sonic. We have only stopped here 2-3 times but each time we have gotten our food in a timely manner. The employees are decently friendly here. Their sonic blasts are ok. Nothing compared to DQ's blizzard. The actually skimp a bit on the mix ins so you get mainly ice cream with a dash of your mix in selection. Decent place to stop if looking for fast food that comes out correct and in a timely manner. read more

AMAZING BLUE COCONUT SLUSH WITH NERDS, shout-out Amelia. This thang was bussin, perfect nerd to slush ratio. 10/10

I stop in for breakfast fairly regularly. It's on my way to the office and makes for a quick stop. The young lady that runs the morning shift is THE BOMB!! She's very quick to take orders and even faster and running them to your car. The food is consistant and tasty. It is a fast food chain, so, you are getting greasy, non-healthy junk...but sometimes, that's just what the doctor ordered. so, call it what it is- but it's fast and convenient. Big props to the staff here!! read more

AVOID THIS SONIC. GO FURTHER TO COIT ROAD. Here they will mess up your order and instead of fixing it they will come argue towards you. The manager is extremely rude! Literally she will just come talk at you instead of listening or fixing anything. I told her I wasn't gonna argue. She kept yelling at me for no reason so I told her I was leaving hoping she would walk away from my vehicle so I could safely leave. I've also been scammed before by a different Sonic, the one on Coit but them giving me the smaller patties rather than big burger patties. Go there, the manager was understanding and forgiving and when I spoke with them the next day they fixed my order. Karmas a b. Victoria is to. read more

Lemme tell you what. Sonic does not make sure their cooks know how to read. Laziest employees sonic has. Don't bother going if you have any food allergies. Cooks don't care. Out of the probably 50 times I've gone here. 45 of them my order has been wrong. But imputed correctly from the car hop. read more

These guys do the job better than other Sonic's I've been to. Never a wrong order and the service is always fast. Unlike Stephen W., I have never had a problem with the credit card machines here. I do agree with him though....using a CC? Toss the server something too. read more

I was berated that if I went by a Sonic and didn't stop my partner was going to no longer talk to me. After buying my dinner for the night I saw the fast food mecca, and promptly cut the wheel to turn in. Got a Diet Cherry Limeade. Amazing. Felt bad I had to have someone come out in the cold to bring me a drink, but I just had too! Also, the credit card machine was finicky but I think it was due to the cold temps. read more

I have been eating at this Sonic since I moved to Richardson over 18 years ago. Besides some cosmetic changes to keep the place "fresh" the food has remained the same. Phenomenal! And it is just so CLEAN! The servers are genuine and make certain you have all the condiments and things you need. And if you like your tray in the car and make a big mess, just push the red button and someone will skittle out to pick it up for you. Make certain to sign up for all the great offers and be sure and use a Sonic Card when paying. Free burgers, text alerts, you name it! Yesterdays feast was just so good! Large onion rings! Giant cheese-burger and a large DIET coke with watermelon flavor. read more

OMG... The order was simple... Lg unsweet tea w EXTRA EXTRA peach... I got an unsweet tea. Me: This taste like unsweet tea... Server: It is unsweet tea Me: But I ordered extra extra peach, there's no peach taste to this Server: Well, I put 6 pumps in it, that's all i'm supposed to do.... REALLY???? I left it there for her to enjoy!!! So rude, so simple to have fixed! No offer to, just simply walked away from me n my unsweet tea w no peach.... Someone else came out to help but I was so livid by then I didn't want to waste anymore time than I had already wasted on it!!!! I was already DISMISSED by the server, so I left... NEVER will return to this location.... Sonic Peach Tea is my favorite drink... but I want my peach tea to taste like PEACH, ESPECALLY when they are SURE to charge EXTRA for it!!!!! read more

I usually like Sonic. My family and I stopped last week and it's safe to say we will NEVER return. Especially not to this location. We ordered several of the new frozen custards, one meal with tater tots and mozzarella sticks. My sister grabbed a tater tot and there was a ROACH in it!!! After that, we threw away all of the food. After trying the, what they claim to be, frozen custard, those wet into the trash too. They tasted like thick, melted, foamy overly sweet vanilla ice cream. read more

After a combined 20 minutes trying to get 3 hot dogs on $1 day (about 7 minutes and a couple of red button presses to even get my order placed and then almost 15 waiting for the food), I had to cancel my order and ask that they not charge my card. I'm guessing that I am going to eat the $3, but whatever. I arrived at 1:30, not the heart of lunch rush and was able to find an open stall (there were plenty) immediately. Clearly, they forgot that this is one of their busiest days of the year and didn't staff for it... sarcasm is free. read more

It's a pretty basic sonic... Not over the top friendly... But not rude, either..... So 3 stars will suffice!

Come here off and on for lunch (work down the street)....They have not yet once screwed up my order....impressive in my eyes....Service is quick and the servers polite. My only complaint is that when I go to pay with card, the little swipy box things do not seem to work very often. On a side note, give the servers a buck or 2 if you can, they usually don't get tips when people pay by CC.....Also, the place does look slightly run down though. read more

I go to this sonic rather frequently, as I work right now the street. Over the past 2 years I've probably gone exceeding 40 times and I've never had a bad experience. The food always comes out quickly and fresh. Drinks are absolutely on point every time. Also very sweet employees! read more

I love this sonic! I had the best service ! My server Garett was awesome! Food was delicious!

I like Sonic, and I eat at this one fairly often. One problem I have: D.U.S.T. It stands for "Direct the sale", "Upsell", "Sell more", and "Thank the customer" It is a very annoying practice, most pervasive in fast food, and Sonics everywhere practice it. I find it highly annoying when I ask for a medium drink and get asked, "would you like a larger one for an extra quarter?" or ask for a regular hamburger and get asked "would you like cheese with that?" when I plainly did NOT ask for a cheeseburger. That said, if you can see past that annoyance, Sonic is a good place to eat. read more

I have been a frequent visitor to this location for years. We really like their food, slushes, and diet cherry limeade. I like it because I can get breakfast from the regular menu instead of having to order breakfast food. About 90% of the time, they do not include condiments in the order. Today, I placed a to-go order and asked for ranch dressing for the cheese fries, and BBQ sauce for the chicken strips combo (which included regular fries). When the young man brought my food out, he read the order back to me; including the sauces I'd requested. When I left and we opened the order, there was not a single sauce. I got two packs of salt. More frustrating, we weren't at home where we could get our own sauces. Because this happens so often, I called the manager to tell him. First he (Francisco) launches into an explanation of their restaurant policy to not charge for sauces. That was not the issue. The issue was that there were NO sauces in the order, that I had specifically requested. Additionally, there wasn't any ketchup for the regular fries, either. I'm estimating that we visit that location about three - five times a week. Because of his response, we will not go back. He told me that he would "watch" to see that his staff adds the condiments. I told him it is an on-going problem, not an occasional lapse. He offered nothing to compensate for the fact that I'd ordered sauces, the carhop read them off to me when he delivered the order, they were printed on the ticket (and on the screen), and they delivered nothing. Most disappointing. read more
