My trip to the Sonic off of Custer and 15th Street in Plano, TX today was horrendous. I first had a order of two orange cream slushes, one small one medium. which to my surprise were the same price, shocking considering the size difference. then my second online order, mozzarella sticks, a chili cheese coney, and a TROPICAL COLADA SLUSH. first off the "tropical colada slush" was red and tasted like cherry. second i only received one container of ranch for my mozzarella sticks, despite marina automatically coming with them. overall, definitely will not be coming back anytime soon. read more

Decent sonic. We have only stopped here 2-3 times but each time we have gotten our food in a timely manner. The employees are decently friendly here. Their sonic blasts are ok. Nothing compared to DQ's blizzard. The actually skimp a bit on the mix ins so you get mainly ice cream with a dash of your mix in selection. And it is just so CLEAN! The servers are genuine and make certain you have all the condiments and things you need. Come here off and on for lunch (work down the street)....They have not yet once screwed up my order....impressive in my eyes....Service is quick and the servers polite. My only complaint is that when I go to pay with card, the little swipy box things do not seem to work very often. I like Sonic, and I eat at this one fairly often. One problem I have: D.U.S.T. It stands for "Direct the sale", "Upsell", "Sell more", and "Thank the customer" It is a very annoying practice, most pervasive in fast food, and Sonics everywhere practice it. I find it highly annoying when I ask for a medium drink and get asked, "would you like a larger one for an extra quarter?" or ask for a regular hamburger and get asked "would you like cheese with that?" when I plainly did NOT ask for a cheeseburger. I have been a frequent visitor to this location for years. We really like their food, slushes, and diet cherry limeade. I like it because I can get breakfast from the regular menu instead of having to order breakfast food. About 90% of the time, they do not include condiments in the order. Today, I placed a to-go order and asked for ranch dressing for the cheese fries, and BBQ sauce for the chicken strips combo (which included regular fries). When the young man brought my food out, he read the order back to me; including the sauces I'd requested. When I left and we opened the order, there was not a single sauce. I got two packs of salt. More frustrating, we weren't at home where we could get our own sauces. Because this happens so often, I called the manager to tell him. First he (Francisco) launches into an explanation of their restaurant policy to not charge for sauces. That was not the issue. The issue was that there were NO sauces in the order, that I had specifically requested. Additionally, there wasn't any ketchup for the regular fries, either. I'm estimating that we visit that location about three - five times a week. Because of his response, we will not go back. He told me that he would "watch" to see that his staff adds the condiments. I told him it is an on-going problem, not an occasional lapse. He offered nothing to compensate for the fact that I'd ordered sauces, the carhop read them off to me when he delivered the order, they were printed on the ticket (and on the screen), and they delivered nothing.
