I called the store just after 10am 1/30/26 to advise that my wife and I would not be attending a class the following day. My intent was to release the seats to other customers. I had the misfortune that Ashely answered the phone. She wasn't paying attention to what I was saying, constantly referred me to call Customer Service, and lied to me about a specific employee whom I asked if she was working was there. Ashley told me to check back after 4pm, supposedly because the three employees that I inquired about by name were not there. She was condescending, rude, and not a good representative for the company. I've shopped at this store for years, and this was my first rude and unprofessional encounter. Ashley frustrated me to the point that I decided to drive over to the store to speak with a manager. As soon as I walked in the store, I saw one of the employees who Ashley said wasn't there. I requested to speak to Ray, store manager. He walked towards me and said that he had seen me several times before. I expressed my concerns regarding Ashley, and he said that he would take care of it. Ray gave me his business card, and asked that I reach out to him if something like this happened again, to avoid me having to drive to the store. There is always someone asking if they can help you find something. The selection here is amazing. I will never forget the first time I went into a Total Wine. HUGE seleciton and very good prices. The staff have so much knowledge about the different products. If you are wanting wine from specific regions or you are wanting all organic, they can point you in the right direction and will take you right to products and will recommend ones they enjoy. Usually go there to get Craft beer and some vine. This time they topped it all, I got a 6 pack pf beer and it was packed/canned close to a year ago. This is not the first time this happened, on multiple occasions i got beer that was way past its prime, because i failed to look at the date and seems like they like to keep them, as long as possible instead of returning to supplier. There are MANY places in DFW to purchase liquor. I will now find a different one. When you have many choices for the same product, you make yourself stand out with CUSTOMER SERVICE. My 21 year old daughter went to this store to buy some stuff ( who happens to be 1 month away from being a registered nurse). She was with my 13 year old daughter who was along for the ride. State law says that as long as a minor is with an adult they are allowed in the store. This store literally harassed both my kids while they were shopping the entire. She needed help finding something but rather than helping her, the clerk continued to harass her regarding her age. I went to this total wine for the first time. It's located in plano close to the mall. I liked it very much! Smaller than the frisco location but had everything the Frisco location has. Samples of awesome wines on Saturday. Samples of different liquors and lots of staff helping you decide what to get! I went straight to the scotch section and bought two of my favorites. Very reasonable prices. No lines at the cash registers (unlike the Frisco location on a Saturday) so I was able to go in and buy what I wanted and leave. Lots of parking spots available and very close to the store so not a lot of walking lol. read more

My favorite beer/liquor store in Dallas area. They always have everything I am looking for and I always find new things to try. The store is conveniently setup in order. Sometimes the brand names are in alphabetical order as well, which makes it even easier to find those rare things. I often order kegs, which is real easy. You can call or show up to order whatever you want and they will have it in 3-7 days for pickup. I always worry they are going to forget me, but it hasn't happen yet. They don't even need a deposit for preorder. You just show up and go in the back to grab your keg yourself. I wish they had a computer directory in the store, so you could see if they have what you are looking for and where it should be. That would be cool, but I am sure they want you to shop around. Richard was on the floor supporting clients and he made what would have been a 2+ hour challenge into a 20 minute treat. He knew exactly where everything was, supported other clients while supporting me, and was pleasant and knowledgeable about was or wasn't in stock. Pros: Decent website, good selection of products. Cons: Site doesn't alert you if same-day delivery is fully booked for the day... it just keeps saying to add $99 worth of product to the cart. It isn't until you check out that you find out same-day delivery isn't available. I received an email at 5:45am, about 3 hours before my delivery was scheduled (the following day), saying they canceled two of my items. Just so happened those were the two I really wanted. There is no way to contact customer service because it's too early and no way to cancel the order online at all. To add insult to injury, I added 6 bottles of wine to my cart to get their "pick 6" discount, but with the deletions I lost the discount AND ENDED UP PAYING MORE FOR FEWER BOTTLES OF WINE! I was looking for a flash drive for my computer and walked in here thinking it was CompUSA. Just kidding, how can you not realize this is a wine store? Seriously, it's basically the Walmart of wine. But the wife has developed a shine to Moscato. So we found a good wine at a restaurant and instead of paying them $9 a glass, we could get a whole bottle for $9! What a deal! She directs me perfectly to them and we begin looking. I'm not sure how they're arranged, it wasn't alphabetically by name but we stumbled upon what we were looking for. She was accommodating and knowledgeable as well as empathetic toward the bad experience we had at the other Total Wine location. Went into the store before it closed last night. Looking for a Black Label bottle, went into the whiskey area and an employee saw me and ignored me, didn't want to help me. Too worried to align the bottles so he could leave. Finally someone asked if I needed help, told them I was looking for a bottle and a few other options. He left, a few minutes later I asked Karl to call him over so he could help me. He rolled his eyes, and said no he would help me. I said no thank you, he refused, so I asked for his manager and he told me no that he wasn't going to get his manager Finally a manager came over, Karl refused to leave..I told him I didn't feel comfortable or wanted to go back and forth with him. I'd been using this Total Wine for years with good results, but the new wine manager, who has lots of wine knowledge is arrogant, rude, short and impatient. Absolutely best liquor store ever. I always get a parking spot at the front door. Once inside there are more knowledgeable helpers than liquor. You can't go down two aisles without someone asking if they can help. Also great humidor. I like Acid brand and they stock my favorites with the other 100+ labels they have. But today I fell for it.
