Usually come for the drinks and corn dogs. For the most part, don't really have issues. Some times, the tea tastes nasty, or the soda is way too carbonated, however that's is rare. Today, we decided to get some fries and try the new pickle fries. Ordered a large fries and large pickle fries and this was what they gave us. Should have just stuck them both in small packaging and told us it was a "large". Very disappointing to say the least. Imagine a wet noodle if you will...As far as the quality/taste of the pickle fries, they were limp and pitiful to say the least. The fries seemed to have been sitting under the warmer for a bit of time. Definitely won't be ordering any "extras" again. I'll stick with the usual going forward. read more

As usual order hamburger & they couldn't get it right. Even when they have a screen that tells them what what I wanted in the burger. Requested burger, no cheese, no pickles, no onion, extra mayo..... RCVD a burger with cheese, with pickles, with onions & no extra mayo. This was a large pick up order. I live 12 miles from this location. Too far to take the burger back. Wishing I would've stopped everything & pulled my burger from the bottom of the bag & checked it. But with their screen that shows what you ordered at the time you order it, I thought they would get it right. There I go for thinking Sonic employees could read. So disappointed. No way to get the onion taste off of everything in between the buns, I ended up making myself a sandwich at home. SUX!!! read more

grabbed two of those $1.99 double cheese burgers and they came out hot and fast. cheese was all nice and melty like the commercial. i wish i wouldnt have been so cheap and splurged for a soda, maybe one of them route44's. either way that's a pretty good deal now a days. read more

My order was wrong twice and the Diet Coke was awful. Service was snippy as well. I requested a refund and left.

Pulled in at the drive-thru, they said, "One sec" and 8-10 minutes later they turned the lights off. Pulled around to the window to ask if they were closed, and the girls ignored us and were mouthing off like they were talking bad about us. Bad bad bad I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. My order is wrong consistently at this location. Orders take forever to come out, even when only ordering drinks. Was asked to wait while fries were made fresh... Waited about 5-7 minutes and the fries came out very limp and warm like they had been sitting under a light. Called twice to the 800# on the receipt and made a complaint both times I had major delays and service issue. No one EVER called me back. I even called a third time to follow up. Was told it was being escalated and that someone would call back with 24-48 hours. No response. I avoid this place, which sucks because a shake once in a while is good. I won't stop here, I go into Austin, San Marcos and Buda for my sonic fix. read more

Passing through & ordered a Reeses Sonic Blast w/ extra Reeses. Should've turned around to return it but we were too far away. The Reeses were like eating rocks. I kept thinking maybe they used Heath pieces (which are much harder) but I naively kept eating thinking it will get better, which it didn't. My husband could hear me trying to bite through the world's oldest Reeses. Sure enough became sick that night and into the next day & 1/2. Had to cancel Sunday plans because of stomach. Have had food poisoning before & have owned/operated restaurants so know what food poisoning is. My biggest complaint is the way it was (not) handled. I wrote to the corporate office who in turn sent an automated email offering me a free beverage. Are you serious?! I even wrote that I did not want to write a review because of my restaurant experience & I know things happen but this is NOT how you handle this situation. I wrote back & have not received a response. I did receive a call a few days after my 1st written complaint to their corp from the area supervisor but like most people I don't answer calls from unrecognized numbers, so I listened to his voicemail & returned his call & left a message to please return my call. I have not heard anything back & it's been weeks (FYI-there is this great technology called 'texting' so that people can read your message without getting into a telemarketing call). I advised the store owner or GM should be handling this & that I welcomed a call from them but haven't heard anything. As I am writing this I am seeing the negative reviews from others. Not a surprise. What are you doing to fix your obvious problems, Sonic? REALLY looking forward to a response & NOT a voicemail. read more

actually the more I've come here I've started to realize how long it takes to get the things we order. I've been sitting in the drive thru for 15 minutes when there is nobody in front of me. The people who take your order at the drive thru usually have a weird sort of attitude. The wait staff is nice, but this is the 2nd time out of the 3 times we've been here that there have been problems with our order. The first time we came here to eat we went through the drive thru and the guy ask for our order. We said we needed a minute and he said ok. When we were ready to order the guy got on, said something and then there was silence. We tried getting the guys attention for 10 min and then gave up and went to Subway. The second time we went we had no problems, but then again we got a drink and some cheese sticks. Today we went and it was not great service. We ordered our food and had difficulty getting our order correct. It had to be read back 5 times. When we got our order they forgot my drink that comes with the meal. When we got home I ate some fries which half were chewy and half were really crunchy. The Texas toast tasted like bread and no butter. The chicken strips were ok. My bf got the grilled chicken sandwich and asked for mayonnaise, no spicy mustard. When he started eating it he could taste the mustard. We also asked for ketchup and never received any. If you go to this sonic location I hope you have better luck than we did. read more

Full price for cups of water. Never again. Customer service was crap. They just put our popcorn chicken in the paper bag. No actual container. The waitress actually asked me for a bigger tip. When I mentioned the fries in the bag she said she did that because she thought I would be a bad tipper. Just crazy and unprofessional. We won't go back. read more

Luckily we were paying with cash and we gave everything back. Sadly this isn't the first time this has happened to us at the Lockhart sonic. Tried ordering two hotdog kids meals and waited over 10 mins until I pushed the button to see where they were and first they said hold on and then they came back and said it would be out in a minute. I have had issues on and off with this Sonic and I vowed never to go back. Well, today I had a craving for a chocolate shake, so I pulled into the Lockhart Sonic. Big mistake, I should have gone on down the road to a competitor. We ordered a chocolate shake and a chocolate malt. When they were delivered, the young lady did not know which was which, but made a determination which was which. Well she was wrong. This is the only Sonic, I have ever had problems with. read more

The sweet tea is the BEST when it's done correctly. This restaurant is hit or miss, literally (but usually a miss). Fritos for the chili pie are always stale, corn dogs are burnt or under cooked, onion rings are too thick and sweet, and the chicken is questionable. The service is TERRIBLE. Car hops basically throw your food through your window. I've even been in a situation when they were out of every food I eat from there. It's a sad sad place. read more
