But it doesn't lack in selection. It is just a little 'compact'. It actually reminds me of the 'package' stores we used to visit on the outskirts of the county when it was dry. The staff here are super friendly and have been very friendly and knowledgeable when I've visited. The access is a bit awkward coming in from Austin Avenue as its a quick turn on a side street and then a quick turn into a narrow parking lot. I guess, considering the busy parking lot at the other location, the twins have more than just a name in common sharing less than ideal access. Still, the store brings a lot more to it's game than it's size might suggest and it's friendly staff will warmly reward you for the effort to squeeze into the parking lot. CHEERS

It is not huge but still packs in a lot of selections. I will say this, the prices are slightly higher than some other competitors. But it is not hugely different. And you know the saying, "You pay for convenience". When we were still feeling the effects of…read moreHurricane Harvey, even this far north, I braved the elements and good ol' Twin Liquors was there to give us the essential supplies needed to weather the storm. They have a great staff and they keep them hired so you'll see a friendly, familiar face no matter how infrequently you go there. The store is compact but the selection is very good for it's size and even with the big selection it doesn't feel crowded. The staff is knowledgeable and always quick to help when asked and even take their time explaining the basics as well as the nuances of wine or liquor. Occasionally, I've found an empty spot on the shelf for my item. But, one quick ask and they'll pull it out of a box for you -- never been out of stock on what I want. Their prices may be a fraction higher than a bigger competitor on a day-to-day basis, but they have very frequent sales that more than make up the difference and they have inventory to cover your needs. Now, even with the Coronavirus, my Hurricane Store still comes through. The store supplied hand sanitizer for customers, the staff wore protective masks (often with Jack Daniels bandanas, how apropos!) and even when demand was high and other stores shelves were bare they kept stocked. Will I call them my "Pandemic Store"? No. They're not a pox in our community, they're a welcome addition. They're the old reliable you can find in the eye of the storm with the 'essential supplies' that help you weather even a pandemic. Cheers!

So i begin looking around just to see what they have before I go for my usual, Titos, I notice the cashier got up from his seat but still behind the counter was following my every move and was watching me like a hawk. I even went down different isles just to see if he was and everywhere i went he went. I was honestly disgusted and didnt want to spend my hard earned money with the establishment but i also felt if I didnt buy anything it was gonna be a problem, and could be accused of something. So i just bought a bottle of Titos and i told him at the register, he made me feel very uncomfortable and that im not a threat and that i wasn't there to steal anything. He waves me off and is dismissive. Not a "sorry that you felt that way" or any explanation of why he was following me, so i leave because I made my purchase. I will never go back, I rather be stone cold sober for the rest of my life then spend my hard earned money in there again!!!!
