This sonic location is the worst sonic ever! I love sonic but the service here completely sucked. I'll drive to the locations in Newport News before eve visiting again! After waiting for 15 minutes to place an order we left. read more

Absolutely the WORST! 20 minutes waiting to place my order at the drive thru, then after I paid they shuffled me to one of the eat in spaces with the menus, I told the cashier if you put me there you'll forget about me- the 3 waiting for food spaces were already filled, 23 minutes later still no master blasts. I called the Sonic asked for the manager, told him the delay, 10 minutes after that, I finally received 2 master blasts- the wrong ones. I did not have the where with all to go back- Speaking of going back I will not be.. I will go to Dairy Queen instead. read more

Went to this location for a Burger. I pushed the button for service and waited. Pushed the button again and waited. Nobody even came on the microphone and acknowledged me. After 5 mins, I left. Wont be going there again. read more

This is the slowest service I've ever had in my entire life. We sat waiting for two hot dogs for 40 minutes, I could've just went to the store and got hot dogs and made them myself. The purpose of fast food is FAST SERVICE. If I wanted to go to the store and made a hot dog in LESS THAN 40 minutes than I would have. But I thought fast food would be FAST. Worst sonic of my life. read more

Ok. Here's the relevant part of my order. #1 with cheese, onions, mustard and hot chili only... With tots and a cherry limeade. I'd also like a large order of onion rings. This was ordered at the drive thru then *again* at the window. I got a # 1 with no cheese, no mustard, plus pickles, onions and hot chili. I also did NOT get the onion rings. Sorry, close but no cigar. I'll go to the Sonic on Geo Washington next time. read more

Usually I give places the benefit of the doubt but this Sonic has had trash service each time I have been and my boyfriend says it's the same for him. The first time I went I only got a slushy, but it took forever for it to come out. The next time I went I ordered a burger with no mustard and no onions. They put mustard and onions on the burger. I sent the burger back and the worker claimed they were so sorry and they would fix me a new burger. When he finally arrived with the "new burger" I thanked him and drove off only to get down the road and see that they gave me the exact same burger without even removing the onions. The last time I went I ordered a burger combo with Sweet tea. Like usual, the wait time was long. When we finally got our food we started eating and all was well except they forgot to give us straws. So we waited even longer to get straws and once we finally got them I was so thirsty I started drinking my tea right away only to taste something.. what it was? I'm not sure, but it wasn't tea. It tasted as if they had poured a slushy into the cup and then realized the drink was supposed to be tea and decided to just pour tea over the slushy. That's what I hope at least. All in all I'm never going back there. read more

I've been to this location a couple of times. Always friendly service, always make the slushes well. However, this time as I was ordering the person kept trying to change what I was ordering for some reason. She didn't act like she couldn't hear me she just insisted that I was saying it wrong or something. Blue coconut slush with real lime and nerds (delicious when made right by the way lol). She insisted that I wanted a limeade with blue raspberry. As I was trying to confirm the blue coconut after hearing her read my order back wrong it was like she cut off the communication so she couldn't hear me. As I pulled up to the window I tried to confirm again and asked directly "that's blue coconut and not blue raspberry right?" She looked right at the screen and said "yes blue coconut" I saw her shirt said manager so I figured I could trust her. Get the drink and receipt. Pull up a little to let the person behind me up. Read the receipt and it clearly says blue raspberry. Soooooooooo a manager read blue raspberry on the screen and blatantly lied to my face saying it was blue coconut. Really??? It's not that big of a deal that it was mixed up for me. Still tastes good, but to lie to my face over something so simple, as a manager at that. I don't think I'll be going back to this one smh. read more

They are the most slowest sonic ever there worker are probably spiting in our food like normal literally we ordered first then the people that drive in and we have been sitting here for now 20 min read more

Do not listen to these people who are getting paid to say nice things about this place cause it's all Lies! I wish I could give this a zero star rating. This place is a miss every single time. Even if you're ordering only 1 thing. My wife ordered a #1 and of course they got it wrong and when we told them that they took it back and came back with the SAME BURGER. Then we ordered a sweet tea.... HORRIBLE. It taste like they was about to use that cup for a slushy but then remember we ordered sweet tea and just mixed it together. We told them they forgot the straws and it took them 10-15 mins to brings us TWO straws. And they wouldn't even have done it if I didn't ring in for a second time. How they stayed open this long is absolutely blasphemous. They need to shut down or find new management ASAP read more

They are extremely slow. The one off magruder is also. The guy at the window was the same person bringing food out to cars. They need to hire more people. read more

Worst Sonic location that I've been to. Took over 20 mins to get my order (two sonic blasts).

Just recently moved here from California and was happy to see a Sonic! Love Sonic ice, but that is where the love stops. Absolute worst service I have EVER encountered in my life. These poor people couldn't get my order right if I had helped them out in the kitchen. They brought our order out wrong 3 times, SERIOUSLY? The last time I went, I was hoping for a different experience, but I'm resigned to think that this Sonic management just doesn't care about good service. Training and good customer service skills would be lost on this place. read more

Would rate zero if I could. Drove up to one of the ordering stations at 1130 on Friday. Pressed the red button. Was asked to hold, which I said no problem. Waited about 5 minutes. Another vehicle drove up. Staff took his order. I pressed the red button again. No response. Waited a few more minutes. Decided they really didn't want my business, and so Chik Fil A got it. When I'm craving a Chicago dog and limeade, I'll pick another Sonic. read more

I've stopped in here 3 times over the last year. Each time I ordered an American hot dog and onion rings. They haven't had the onion rings either time, even though they are on the menu. When I went last Friday there were no onion rings and they told me to wait in the slot behind to two cars that ordered before me and were also waiting. There were also several cars behind me, although there were only a couple in the drive in slots Someone inside was sneezing heavily. I asked for my money back and drove out around the waiting cars This place is poorly run read more

My boyfriend really wanted a shake, and I told him they are awful (cause we have been before). We have been sitting here for half an hour, of course I'm complaining because it's 2 shakes ! That's all! Why is it taking so long. It's like this all the time. Then he hit the button again and she said "did you order the ice cream?" No. They forgot...... guess the drive thru was faster even though it seemed busy. :/ read more

Worst service ever. Sat at a station for close to 10 minutes. Was told over the loudspeaker that someone would be with me and no one ever came or took my order. Very hungry, had children in the car. Hope management reads this and makes some changes. read more

Had to repeat order three times. It was only one shake. Brought me out the completely wrong shake. Took it back from me. Brought me back ANOTHER incorrect shake & didn't offer to give me another one when I told them it was incorrect. Obviously they're hard of hearing & cant read their own recipes correctly. read more

Worst Sonic around, I swear. Can't tell you how many times I've had problems here, but today takes the cake! Waited in the drive thru for 30 minutes, ordered a slush and a milkshake, got up to the window just for them to tell me it would be ANOTHER 15 minute wait because their machines weren't working. Really?! You couldn't have told me that when I placed my order??? Get it together!! read more

I've been here countless times... Sonic was a late night junk food staple during undergrad at Hampton U. However, I recall on at least three separate occasions, ordering a chicken sandwich, & it being still frozen/raw in the center. I love a nice rare steak, but raw frozen chicken? I still don't understand the physics of how a chicken sandwich can be crispy & burnt on the outside & icy & uncooked on the inside. Can't go wrong with the tots or the mozzarella sticks though. So get those... unless you enjoy feasting on raw chicken, in which case, order several chicken sandwiches. read more

Menu is full of lots of options, chicken, hot dogs, mozzarella sticks, grilled cheese, burgers and of course breakfast! The best part is they serve their full menu all day so you can have breakfast whenever you want. We came today because they had $1 hot dogs. Order was taken as soon as I pressed the button and he was very polite and made sure I got what I wanted (what kind of breakfast sandwich and what kind of chili hot dog). We received our order within 5-8 minutes from a very nice gentleman on roller skates. Our order was correct, very glad he left the relish off like we asked. The hot dogs were exactly what we expected, tots amazing like always and the croisonic sandwich was pretty good. Our second order was also taken just as fast but it took longer to come out, only because we ordered shakes this time and they typically take longer. Didn't see The peanut butter bacon shake on the menu but he said he could still make one for me, so I was very ecstatic. The second employee who brought our order was just as friendly and the shakes were amazing! read more

i come to this sonic quite often actually, however today will probably be my last visit to this location for a while. Ordered lunch outside (footlong chili cheese coney, regular chili cheese coney, and large order of tots) and have never had such poor customer service in my life. The carhop walks our order out, dropping tots out of the bag along the way, comes to our table, sets the food down and at that time i simply ask for a hand full of ketchup, the carhop sets 3 small ketchup packets down on the table.. 3 ketchup packets to split between 2 people, a footlong, a regular, and a large order of tots.. i ask the carhop if we could get some more ketchup as 3 wasnt the handfull that i asked for, he rolled his eyes and walked away without saying "yes i'll grab more" or "no".. comes back out to our table and slings 3 more small ketchups down then walks away smirking with a smartalic attitude.. any other time the people there we deal with always tell us they'll come back to see how everything is going, but the carhop today has ruined your reputation there and we will not be back for a while. read more

Sonic Drive-In - Burgers Near Me - Hampton, Virginia

Went with a group of service members for shakes and was refused service. Went to several of the drive in windows and even talked with an employee, no one would take our order. read more

I visited Sonic this week to order three meals for my family at the drive-in carhop space. I waited for over 35 minutes no food. I left to go to another place but returned because after a conversation with the manager Jerry said he would make it right and the food would be on him. I decided to give them another chance. Never again, I waited for another 25 minutes, for overcooked, burnt burgers, and teeth breaking crunchy tots that were cool. They are cancelled, I will never visit again! read more

THIS SONIC IS HORRIBLE!!! It takes no less than 30 minutes to get through the line and get your food! The staff is so slow and rude and by the time they get you your order, it's wrong!!! Horrible service, don't waste your time read more

The food is okay I guess ... but the shakes are awesome. Basically the only reason we come here.

I used to like coming here but within the past year every time I pull up to the drive through speaker I sit there watching the person at the window not doing anything. I understand there are booths that need to be attended to, but watching a person at the window not doing anything doesn't sit well. Today I got a "one minute" finger from a manager. I'm sorry for whoever owns this place but three strike and you're out. Another business will take my money. I hope you get your issue solved. read more

Service was really good can't complain for it bring Christmas. The food on the other hand wasn't so good. I'm ok not coming back.

Terrible service. Waited 30 min in drive thru just for someone to take my order and another 15 at the window waiting for my food. Like I really thought someone was playing a joke on me. No one thanked me for my patience or apologized for the relentlessly long wait. Unacceptable. read more

Found a hair in my tots and my burger was smashed flat. I am changing my previous rating to one star and I will probably never return here.

Foot long hot dog very good with chilli and cheese! Service was fast sit down area was actually clean. We enjoyed this place!

Ordered a powerade slushie and onion rings earlier tonight. A simple order. First i asked for a large powerade slush, to which the drive through attendant nastily replied " orange powerade slush? Whats that?" I clarified and continued my order and the attendant continued with her nasty attitude. I got to the window and they gave me my slush and told me to pull up and wait on the onion rings. Two employees came to my truck with the wrong orders and when i told them my order their demeanors would change... as i waited i wondered if they were spitting in my onion rings or if i was being paranoid. Onion rings finally came out and i drove home so i could inspect them before eating them. Get out of my car with my order to realize that a TINY PINHOLE WAS POKED IN THE BOTTOM OF MY SLUSHY CUP!!! Half of my slushy had leaked out in my car and the rest was leaking onto me as i stepped out of my car! I now have a personal vendetta against this sonic and its employees! Its a shit hole and at least one of its employees is a shit person! Worst service ive ever had at a drive through and i felt it deserved my first and only yelp review. Will not be returning to this location unless its to shit down an employees throat read more

Honestly this place deserves a negative 2 stars. After waiting twenty minutes in a line that wasn't moving I drove up to the speaker where I waited another six minutes to try and place my order, after seeing no one was ahead of me in line and at least seven cars behind me I drove to the window where three employees were laughing and playing even when they acknowledged I was waiting. After 14 dollars and 3 milkshakes they were running like milk. The managers excuse was the soft serve couldn't hold up to the milk shake machine, the whole thing was a mess. I'm not a regular Sonic customer but I'm for sure not going back. read more

SLOW SONIC TOWN USA. I have no idea how it's possible to operate this slowly, (15 minutes for service, additional 15 for food) but corporate needs to show up and fix this issue. While waiting I saw many customers pull up and abandon after waiting 5-10 minutes. read more

Very slow service. Ordered 3 kids meals and took over 15 minutes to receive our food. Won't be returning to this location

Quick service but person taking order kept changing things like did not understand order. Ended up with my bacon double cheeseburger having no bacon when I checked it at home. I was told bring it back or save it until tomorrow and bring it to them to prove it did not have bacon on it. Really I took the time to call them and this is the answer to a mistake on their part. Not I'm sorry just prove it to us. read more

They were so slow I had to pull ahead of the drive thru, them they got my order wrong, I called the mgr, he was very nice, apologetic & told me the next time I come in he would make my order himself, thanks Chris, that was nice read more

This review is based on the service. Anytime I go to this Sonic I receive terribly slow service but earlier this week I was fed up. My friends and I went to get milkshakes on a Thursday night. When we finally got to the spot to take our orders(drive thru) the man said he'll be right with us. We waited approximately 10 mins before we left. We never got to take our orders and there was only one car in front of us. The drive in part had maybe three cars total. So why does it take more than 10 mins just to even take my order? I wonder how long it would've took to complete everything. read more

I came for a slushy and decided to get lunch while here. I left 45 minutes later with a drink and a sandwich. Neither of which were ordered. The order was messed up twice, the stag inside seem mismanaged if there was one inside at all. The sign on the door says walk up for faster service ha ha ha. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE read more

Horrible the service is horrible ! I was yelled at several times and told to "hold up" when I was ordering drinkings I didn't even have a complicated order ! Seriously the rudest people working there ! read more

The service here is the slowest I've ever seen for it to be a Sonic. The whole point is for it to be FAST food. I've been waiting here for at least 25 minutes for just 1 meal. I would have gone some place else had I known this. read more
