Stopped in here on the way to Houston. I was a bit too early for half-price "Happy Hour," but I got a Route 44 Orange Slush anyway. This might've been the best slush I've had from a Sonic in a long time. Plenty of ice, plenty of orange flavoring. It was cold and lasted me (a notorious hog of soft drinks) all the way from Giddings to near Tomball. As with all Sonics anymore, I pretty much stick to drinks or snack stuff. read more

Ordered a mustard cheeseburger only, no mayo no catsup. When I asked her if she heard my request she never responded. While I was waiting a hispanic employee took his bug sprayer out to the shed and stayed out there. He went back and forth to the shed 3 times. Guess he was taking a smoke break. Hope he wasn't touching food. Then two young guys went out to a tan car underneath a tree. The slender one came and went again with a burger. The heavy set one went out there on his break I guess, but who takes a break when it's lunch time for customers? When I got my cheeseburger, it was ice cold. I understand a majority of the younger generation has a nonexistent work ethic but management should coach, train and instill the expectation of customer service and satisfaction. Management has failed these young employees and in turn, these young employees have failed the Sonic customers. I will never go back. Literally never give me all my food and always forget my sauces. I actually can't remember the last time they have given me all my items and if they did something is always messed up. I give them a new chance every 3ish months and always leave dissatisfied or I get home without checking my bag before leaving which I should be able to do and not worry about being shafted and realize what's missing. Waited forever to find out the lane we were in was out of service with no sign. They were not apologetic and seemed confused why we would be annoyed after waiting so long. Then we got our slush and cherry limeade. The limeade tasted like it was mixed with toilet water. It was the worst cherry limeade I've ever had and wasn't drinkable. Had a moldy weird taste. No carbonation and very little flavor. The slush was watery. I had hoped stopping by at a small town sonic would mean it would be better. Way wrong. read more

Most incompetent group of employees I've ever had the pleasure of waiting on. Pulled up and ordered at 8:45, ordered two medium slushes, two different other vehicles pull up, order food, drinks and get their orders and leave within the 20 minutes that I spent wasting my time waiting on this joke of an establishment. To say the service at this location is horrible is an understatement. I'd give it -5 stars if possible. The night shift workers are rude every time we come here. They ALWAYS get the order wrong and we're ALWAYS missing food from our order. The night "manager" (she's just the assistant manager) is rude and gets an attitude over the phone when we call to tell them they forgot part of our order. Her response is always "well either you can come back and get it or we'll write your name down and you can get it later" except they don't actually keep a record of this. I've told her that they don't ever keep a record of it and her response was "then I guess you're coming back up here"". Excuse me? WORST SERVICE EVER. They do NOTHING to try and make it right. They tried to short me on change and just argue with me about what I gave them even when the carhop says that I'm telling the truth. Overall the quality of service is crap and they need to really just close down and restart from scratch. read more

This is the most poo cheese sonic ever! Everything tastes so old: even the jalapeños! I would suggest this just be a blink of the eye when you pass by because it's terrible! Now I'm stuck with a large chili cheese tot and burger that tastes like stale chips! I'm so mad about it! read more

I had a double cheeseburger, the meat had obviously been sitting for a while, they were hard and cold and didn't even melt the cheese, finally had to throw it away. My wife had a bacon double burger, there was no bacon on the "bacon" double cheeseburger. The patty's were also hard, cold hockey pucks that wouldn't melt the cheese. Take the time and drive another mile east and go to whataburger. read more

i am a sonic lover and this is by far the worst sonic i have ever been to in my life. i get a cherry limeade slush every time i go to sonic and this one was absolutely disgusting. it tasted like creek water. how does that even happen? it's supposed to be a glorious cherry-lime flavor and it somehow tasted like the worst thing my tongue has ever tasted. i don't know whether their slush syrup is decades old or if they just don't know how to make a simple slushie. either way, i do NOT recommend wasting your time getting drinks from here unless you're ready to cry. read more

Yeah, I must have lived a sheltered life because I experienced Sonic for the first time in Giddings Texas! It's not that I haven't seen a Sonic before because I have but who knew they had fried mozzarella sticks and corn dogs! Two of my all-time favorites! I did discover my new favorite junk food drink at Sonic - the Cherry Limeaid. I can't wait to go to the Sonic Drive In in Buckeye, AZ (which is where I first saw a Sonic). I gave it three stars because seriously - it is just another fast food restaurant. There was nothing exceptional about the service or the food. read more

Sonic is Sonic. The burger was acceptable, which is better than I expected. The tater tots were a little greasy. Surprise. The berry limeade slush was a brain disabling drink, but once it warmed up a bit or something in my brain froze over and died, it was great. I'd still rather fix a Bubba burger at home. read more

Awful experience on numerous occasions! I believe i've had better customer service standing outside in 1/4 mile concert line in Texas' 102 degree July weather! I can't say much other than this drive-in must not train their employees properly. My order has been incorrect over 3 or 4 times. My next quick drive-in stop? NOT this filthy place. This Sonic has been there forever. I live in Austin and my mom lives in Houston. When my son was little we'd meet at Sonic so he could go spend time with his grandma. (To be fair, on the return trip we always met at DQ in Brenham.) Sometimes we'd eat there, sometimes just get a drink, always had good service and food. The employees were always pleasant. The bathroom could use a good renovation... ahem... This Sonic will always be special to us because my son is grown now and he can drive himself to see grandma. This is the worst Sonic I have ever been to. The food was sub Sonic par and the customer service was the pits. We were shorted a fry and when I asked for the fry, the manager came storming out of the door blathering that she just bagged it. I showed her the receipt and told her how many fried she had in fact bagged. She comes back out with a scowl on her face as if I was trying to steal from her. Then as she left she said, Have a Blessed day, with a sneer and her eyes were also sneering. AVOID this place, they cannot even get the most simple customer service down. read more
