Yes yes yes. This is my first time visiting this Sonic, to me it's the best in NYC. They have indoor and outdoor seating, that is rare in NYC. I stopped in after 5pm for their half priced milk shakes. I got the classic strawberry milkshake and my husband got the Oreo. Both were DELICIOUS. The customer service was fast , and friendly. My first experience with sonics dates back to 2002 in Oklahoma city. The food is OK with average tasting burgers, but the milk shakes are really delicious. What sets Sonics apart from other fast food restaurants is the nostalgic 50's inspired car port dining experience. Driving up to a car port and ordering your food which is brought to you by a server on roller skates is pretty cool. You also have the choice of dining inside or order through the drive thru. Beef and chicken burgers, chili dogs, french fries, tater tots, onion rings and mozzarella sticks are all served here. Like I mentioned earlier they have great frozen drinks, slushies and desserts here. They have an app you can download to redeem perks but the app is pretty worthless. My son loves going here more for the gimmicky carhop roller skater food delivery system. There are other fast food burger chains with better tasting burgers, but if you're into carhops delivering food directly to your car via roller skates, then this is the perfect place for you. read more

Due to COVID-19, your choices are very limited after 11 PM. Thankfully, Sonic is within driving distance. For those not familiar with SONIC, its a DRIVE-IN, not a DRIVE-THRU. You drive your car into one of the stalls in the parking lot and you order your food. A server on roller skates brings your food out to your car and you eat your food in your car. This business model is thriving under the social distancing paradigm. Ambience/Decor: If you like ordering and eating in your car, then this place is for you. Food: This is fast food, don't get your hopes up on quality. Other than the myriad of shakes and frozen drinks, you have your standard fare of burgers, hot dogs and chicken sandwiches. Sonic is an experience. I took my nephew here this past Sunday. He ordered the chili dog with French fries and a lemonade. I ordered the double cheeseburger with fries and lemonade. We both enjoyed our meals. I like that Sonic creates an old school experience because we ordered from the drive-in station and the waitress brought us our food to the chair. I ordered a water and I was charged for it. I was given a water bottle so I figured it was because I don't specify i wanted an ice cup water.That's fine that's okay. But then my friends all proceed to get free water and the same water bottle that i paid 3 dollars for. She only charged me. This made me feel targeted;, upset, confused, frustrated and embarrassed. Food great, service not. I stopped in 20 minutes before they closed to grab a quick meal with some friends. We sat down at a booth to wait for our orders. As one of our orders were being served to us, the server goes "just so you know...WERE F**KING CLOSED" and struts away. Now I get that many of these servers are teenagers and lack professional etiquette but that was just rude. When giving us our orders, she quickly just tossed our food onto our table instead of handing it to us. Not only that but when she got the table number stand after each order she delivered (8 orders total), she just threw them carelessly on the ordering counter and didn't even bother to pick them up when they fell off the table. I've always been met with exceptional service with can-do attitudes from the carhops and cashiers here. It's always clean and tidy in the stalls as well. In VA, the nearest Sonic is over an hour away, so I never got to tried it, so when I heard there's one near where I was going in NY, I had to try it. This location has a dine-in, drive-in, AND drive-thru. Confusing - you can eat inside, eat in your car, or take it to go. I had a Sonic Cheeseburger with tater tots. Be aware that specials that you see on tv are often upcharged than what is advertised. Handicap accessibility is decent. The doors are double doors into a vestibule so you have to go through two sets of doors, note there is no handicap button. The threshold is not high though, if you're in a wheelchair. read more

At the end of the day, it's Sonic. It's the same Sonic (sort of) that's out in Deer Park. It's the same Sonic all around Florida. And while the food is good, it's still fast food. With that said, this location is actually pretty nice. If you don't want to eat in your car, there's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. The other Sonic on LI only has outdoor seating, so this is a plus for this location in East Meadow. Service was fast and yes the servers are on rollerskates. The menu at this location is larger than the Suffolk County location, similar to the menus in the NJ and FL locations. The food was good and the Diet Coke with chocolate syrup was yummy. The booths here are YUUUUGE. We felt bad taking one since we're only two people but there were no other seats open at the time we went. Plenty of parking spaces if you're dining in. A decent amount of car ports if you want to get ketchup all over your car. Come here for a quick meal, preferably before going to the Coliseum where you'll end up spending $20 for a hotdog. read more
