This is a decent sonic. Their customer service is alright, usually responsive and the food isn't too bad. I got their double cheeseburger which was actually pretty dang large! Their crinkle cut fries were perfect and salted to perfection!

I love sonic basically for their slushy's but also will grab a couple things sometimes we're passing by as a quick alternative because growing up we didn't have a lot of sonic around except for when we travel. I saw this had horrible reviews and chalked it up to just being fast food people like to compare a three dollar burger to an $18 burger and wonder why it doesn't stack up, well in this case, I can see that it is a staffing issue. The place was dirty. They took forever with the orders they didn't take drive up orders, and really everything was just limped to you with no real regard. We got an item we didn't order, and one of our items was wrong with chalk that up to, breaking even I will Say this is not a great location to experience sonic...

Terrible service, food is poor and the wait time was 35min for FAST FOOD. If you can't staff it appropriately, close it down.

Drinks and drink specials are delicious, food is typical fast food that may or may not give you a stomachache. One word-diet cherry limeade.

Customer service gets an A++++ My doggo threw up in my best friend's car in the drive thru and the guy was so nice, totally came to our rescue as we were overcome with the stench.

I never expected to find this style of ice cream in Bend of all places! They even have a legitimate Little Jem ice cream mixer. Their menu is really simple, with only two types of base, one vegan, one dairy, and four different fruits. They offer two different sizes, but I'm not sure how much larger the regular is vs. the small. The little display in the front doesn't make the regular seem much larger. Perhaps they should actually display the volumes to make it clear? Regular, Vanilla Base, Marionberry ($8.50) - They use a really, really stretchy base here, stretchier than most ice creams that I've ever eaten, almost like it has mastic gum added. Other reviews mention they use Tillamook as the base, but I'm a little skeptical. Tillamook is certainly stretchy since they use guar gum as a stabilizer, but I can't recall it being quite that stretchy! I believe most other NZ real fruit ice cream places use sweet cream as the base to really allow the fruit flavors to shine, but Birdsong uses vanilla, which adds a delightful note that enhances rather than covers up the fruit. It's a complementary flavor and works very well together, although I personally still prefer having sweet cream only. The fruit is blended in very well so there aren't any icy pieces at all, with the only textural difference coming from a small bit of crunch from the seeds in the marionberries. It's otherwise a sweet, berry fruity dessert. I guess the one downside is that the portion size is kind of lacking for the price. I get more from the real fruit ice cream places in Seattle for cheaper, despite Seattle being much higher cost of living. (4/5) Birdsong serves a pretty decent representation of New Zealand real fruit ice cream, at least to my limited knowledge! It's certainly worth a try, if not just as a sweet frozen treat.

Then I wandered past epic niche character candies like Krabby Patties, Red Fox Animal Poo Cotton Candy, and gummy sushi setups. The back of the store amplified the original Willie Wonka movie on a big video board. The shop is stocked and tight, good that means more candy. There is ice cream and a chocolate/confections case. The girl working on the busty rainy Saturday was communicative and kind despite doing 4 things at once. This is a classic candy shop. Do you want to eat crickets? You can! But I'll settle for my colas. A Jones soda bottle cap was on the bench outside where I sat to write this review, the inside read, "you are worthy of good things." Cravin's made me believe that a little more. Thanks!

Ended up with two scoops in a cup--Ultraviolet (yep, that crazy purple one) and Salted Caramel. Price was $8.50, which is definitely on the higher side (especially when I know the same size goes for $7.50 in LA or even Yellowstone). Still, I can't complain--the flavors hit hard. Ultraviolet tasted like summer in a spoon--sweet, floral, slightly exotic. The salted caramel balanced it out with that creamy richness and just enough salty kick to keep it from being overly sweet. Together? Perfection. Service matters too. The girl at the counter was super sweet, quick, and clearly knew her stuff. That's the kind of energy you remember. There was also a guy behind the counter who looked like he could've helped earlier, but instead wandered a bit before starting a milkshake. Maybe that wasn't his role--but it stood out. The place itself? Classic Ben & Jerry's vibe--bright, fun, colorful. Outside seating with turquoise chairs gave me that relaxed, summer-night-in-town feel. Perfect spot to slow down and people-watch. So yeah, it's pricier than some spots, but when the ice cream is that good and the service leaves you smiling, it's 5 stars. I'd come back just for that Ultraviolet scoop.
