Review of Sonic in Bend, Oregon, Delivery via DoorDash Sonic has become a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. I have ordered from them quite a few times through DoorDash, and my experiences have been all over the place. The food quality and packaging are inconsistent. Sometimes things arrive well put together, other times the presentation and prep feel rushed. That said, I still find myself coming back. Their groovy fries are a favorite of mine, and every now and then the Chili Cheese Coneys hit just right. I try a lot of their drinks, especially sodas with added flavors. These can be fun, but just like the food, they are hit and miss. Their lemonade in particular leans way too sour for my taste. Coke with cherry is a true blast to the past, much more so that the pre-bottled cherry coke. I also give their shakes a thumbs up, at least in the realm of fast food shakes. I'm not sure Vincent would say "It might not be worth five dollars, but it's pretty ****** good." But these days, even a fast food shake cost five dollars. The surprise for me has been their Double SONIC® Smasher. For a long time, I considered Sonic's burgers to be among the weakest in fast food. But this burger completely turned that around, and it is now one of my favorite fast food burgers. Overall, Sonic in Bend is not about consistency or polish. It is a place I order from when I am craving something indulgent (i.e. chili dogs), knowing it may not be perfect but will scratch that fast-food itch. This is, without a doubt, the worst Sonic I've ever been to. There is absolutely no reason it should take over 30 minutes to take the orders of three cars in the drive-through. People use the drive-through because they're on a limited lunch break and expect fast food service, not because they have time to sit in line for half an hour. It feels like drive-through customers are being ignored while parked orders are prioritized. If you're going to call yourself a fast-food restaurant, the drive-through should move at a reasonable pace. After this experience, I won't be coming back. Completely unacceptable service. there is no reason for this. I don't care how understaffed you are if you're that understaffed close the door doors. Maybe if you offer your employees more money they'll want to work. read more

I loved the Grillo Pickle Seasoned tots. Loved that they came with a fork so I I did get pickle dust on my fingers. I had the Grillos Big Dill Double Smasher with the fried pickles and regular pickles and it was soooooo good. I thought we had ordered the meal because I couldn't wait to try the picklerita slush. But I guess they didn't hear that part so we had to pay extra for it. Which was fine, but that's why I took away one star. Other than that the food came out fast and it was yummy. Living in Albany we don't have any Sonics close so I was excited to go here in Bend while traveling. read more

I love sonic basically for their slushy's but also will grab a couple things sometimes we're passing by as a quick alternative because growing up we didn't have a lot of sonic around except for when we travel. I saw this had horrible reviews and chalked it up to just being fast food people like to compare a three dollar burger to an $18 burger and wonder why it doesn't stack up, well in this case, I can see that it is a staffing issue. I visited this particular Sonic location two days ago and since 2018 I've been many times but I will never return. I would have given it a zero but it wasn't an option. Wednesday was National Ice Cream Day so I thought I would treat myself to a Oreo Chocolate Milkshake and a chili cheese dog. Big Mistake. 1. Large Milkshake had maybe a tablespoon of ice cream in it and Zero chocolate it was like drinking a large glass of milk with a few crumbs of Oreo in the bottom. 2. So I never really write reviews but I thought I would share my experience, My family & I came here on our way out of town we went threw the drive thru and The Customer Service was Awful. We ordered and when we got to the window to pay we asked if one of the burgers could be plain because we forgot to mention it as we are trying to order for a family of 5 and trying to be quick she already sounded mad as she was taking our order, anyways the Girl which came to find out she was the MANAGER was soo rude to tell us that next time we should say that at the ordering window and walked away to then have one of her employees come tell us that her manager wanted us to know that next time we will be charged for it, so you charge to remove pickles and ketchup ? Never disappoints foodwise! I've started coming here all the time now; corn dog with fry sauce, soft pretzel sticks with cheese, and a cherry limeade is my boyfriend and I's regular nowadays. My blast had a greasy palm print on the lid and the guy that handled my card handed it back to me with a thick substance on it. I assume it was related to the substance on my blast. So disappointed! My husband and I stopped by to grab lunch for our hour drive home. We made an order of two large combo meals. First off, she gives us our drinks, they were not what we ordered and she gave us medium sizes, even though we ordered large and asked her about it at the window..she didn't fix it. If I could give this establishment a negative rating I would have. I will advise anyone in Madras DONT ever eat here! Customer service is a non existent at this location, employees have no knowledge of the menu or what they are serving. When asked if we were able to get refills on our drinks we were advised they don't provide refills for free. When asked what the cost was they advised no refills buy another drink. This is ridicules in today's fast food environment. After spending 35.00 for 5 people to eat lunch then advised no refills, total BS. I rarely ever go to fast food but I occasionally get a bad craving for tater tots. So, when I decide to splurge I head to Sonic to grab a large order. The staff is always nice and willing to cook up a fresh crispy batch! Thats the plus for this place.
