What immediately stood out to us was that he had ideas and solutions to address our pain points and make enhancements, we wouldn't have ever considered, and didn't just wait for us to tell him how we wanted things. He created a vision for us in that first quote visit. The other contractor we spoke to didn't provide any ideas just asked us how we wanted it. It was a very easy decision to go with Alon and Lumina Builders. Our project was estimated to take 2-3 months and ultimately took two and a half months to complete. We designed a brand new kitchen, addressing all of our concerns and adding a few recommendations from Alon to streamline some areas. They ripped everything out aside from the flooring and walls. We got brand new custom cabinets, custom lighting, and new countertops. Our fridge was moved to a new, more accessible area. Our sink was shifted down to align with the stove for continuity sake (never realized how much I hated it being in a corner previously). We had a new little cabinet built in our little breakfast nook area and we had an appliance garage built to house everything that took up counter space. Everything is so much brighter and more open and, even though we know the demensions are roughly the same, it feels so much wider. We are ecstatic with how everything came out. Alon is a genius. He was responsive to us throughout the project, checking in weekly to see how things were going, giving us peace of mind throughout this process, as first time remodelers. We were indecisive about the primary cabinet color (I was very worried we'd be stuck with something we didn't really like) but he worked with the cabinet makes to give us several samples to choose from. He was very patient with us. We LOVE how everything turned out! We'll definitely be using Lumina Builders for all of our future projects.

We also found his pricing to be very reasonable and he did not play any games with payments. And his crew showed up to work as stated and asked us at times if they could stay later (we were happy to oblige) ...which meant it would be done sooner. I will not hesitate to use Poseidon again. It's rare to have a contractor who does what they say they will do.

Charley was our project manager; he kept the project moving forward and was extremely responsive to texts and calls. They helped us change the cabinet layout a bit and it ends up being more functional while also having much more usable space. The flooring and baseboards turned out terrific, it really changes the look and feel of the space. We had picked out something that was not one of their usual suppliers, but that was no problem. They really work with you to get exactly what you want. All the workers were friendly, skilled and left our house clean at the end of the day. My thanks to everyone that worked on our project. Chuck finished the kitchen up and did fine work with our plumbing which required some intricate work to accommodate our layout. Of the many options they had the best ideas and the qualified workmen. Mike Garst considered the project from every angle, brought in members of his team on 3 occasions to suggest approaches. When they opened the dry wall we found the supports were rotted & had to be replaced. They built a roof support, replaced damaged wood, added cement inside the walls higher than outside level to prevent leaks, then filled a beautiful solid cement floor and repaired the drywall. Better than good as new, this room boasts a superior foundation that gives me confidence. Every member of Mike's team is punctual, profesional, knowledgeable and courteous. When work was done, Mike came and, on his own account, adjusted the sticky sliding door so it moves smoothly. Mike's boss, Brian, also came several times to look over the project. I feel very fortunate to have had MASTERCRAFT take on this hugely complex project and bring a disaster to a happy ending.They explained options, patiently answered my questions and were courteous and pleasant throughout. I'm the type of person who is very specific about what I want and I did my homework. I got four different bids for this project, and C2C was the clear winner. Their quote was completely itemized--which I appreciated--and ended up being well under every other retail bid I received. Two people really made the difference: Mary and Bolo. Mary is a literal pro when it comes to the insurance side of things. She worked tirelessly on the supplements to ensure we maximized our RCV payout from our insurance. She caught things the adjuster missed and helped us get the settlement we actually needed to do the job right. Bolo, the project manager, was extremely responsive and reasonable throughout the entire build. Whenever a technical issue came up--even complex stuff like electrical circuit stability or specific plumbing heights--he was there to talk it through and get it handled. One thing I will say for people considering them: you need to be the kind of homeowner who has the capacity to stay on top of the work. If you know exactly what you want and you're willing to stay involved in the day-to-day details, C2C is an incredible solution. It's a partnership, and because I stayed engaged, we were able to hit a level of quality that usually costs twice as much. He coordinated all the different tasks (tiling, countertop fabrication, painting, inspections, etc.) and we are very happy with the finished quality of the remodel. He made the process easy and answered all of our questions; we are happy that we worked with him and Forever Builders.

02/13/2026 Ben…read morecontinues to say their "inspection" found no active leak and claims the water must be coming from an exterior outlet or prior waterproofing. Based on that storyline, they're refusing to take responsibility for the flooring damage. The windows were installed without permits. I brought in four independent inspections, including three licensed general contractors and one home inspector. All confirmed active water intrusion and pointed to the window installation as the likely source. Despite that, Forever Builders continues to deny, redirect, and avoid addressing the actual installation. The floors never had water intrusion before the remodel. The problem started after their work. Instead of owning it and fixing it, they've chosen to argue technicalities and wait for CSLB to force the issue. For a company that promotes itself as 5-star, this has been anything but. When serious defects surface, there's no urgency, no accountability, and no effort to stand behind the work. Just excuses. That is not 5-star service. That is not what integrity looks like.

Karen was my projecg manager, handled everything seamlessly. He communicated with me every step, kept me updated and make sure the entire process was smooth. Review Update (2026)…read more I am updating my original 5-star review from a few years ago. At the time, we were very happy with our kitchen remodel and the overall experience working with Creative Design & Build. The project turned out beautifully, which is why I originally left such a positive review. Over the years, however, I noticed that one section of the flooring felt slightly soft when walking on it. At first, it did not seem serious, so we continued to live with it. Recently, the problem became worse and a section of the floor began to noticeably sink when stepped on and eventually a few edges of the flooring broke. At that point, I became concerned that it could become a safety issue. Because we still had plenty of spare flooring boards left over from the project, I attempted to replace the affected board myself. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the new board to fit correctly due to the locking system, and I could not restore the original board either. I then contacted Creative Design & Build for assistance. One reason I reached out was because our original project manager, Oded, had told us that if we ever had any issues, we should contact the company. I left a voicemail and later received a return call from a staff member. After I explained the situation, she said she would check with management and get back to me. A few days later, I received a text message stating that the warranty had expired and that no repairs would be covered. This was disappointing because I had never been informed that there was a four-year warranty period, nor was I able to find any reference to such a limitation in our contract. When I asked for details regarding the warranty and whether they could recommend someone to repair the issue, I did not receive any further response. There were two other issues relating to electrical and plumbing, however we decided to live with that until we had a major problem we needed fixing. I still appreciate the work that was done on our remodel years ago, and our kitchen remains a space we enjoy. However, I have been disappointed by the lack of follow-up and support when a problem arose. My advice to future customers is to make sure all warranty terms, coverage details, and expiration dates are clearly documented and understood before signing a contract.
