Can't believe we waited almost a whole year to check out this little sweet shop. They have homemade fudge, ice cream, truffles, and loads of other goodies. We tried the heath and cookie dough fudge and it was amazing. The flavors were spot on with a creamy velvety texture. We had some self control when we stopped in today and didn't purchase any fudge but definitely will in the future. The ice cream we got was very good. I really enjoyed the spumoni. The peach I tried was light and refreshing. My husband loved the moose tracks. The best part about this shop was the service. Both women working today were so kind and friendly. Sound a wonderful little shop! It felt very homey in there and the staff working the day that I came with my mom's cousin and her friend and they were very helpful as well. I picked up a bag of the Irish Cream Cordols and finished them up within 3 days! Something Sweet is a confectionary in Antioch,there is one and a half locations.It is a local place.Their candy is delicious and just by looking at it,you can practically taste it!They have a location in downtown Antioch Illinois.They also have half of a location in downtown Antioch at the local Antioch Theater.It has candy you can get at the theater before you go in.The main location has a bakery of cakes,donuts and other things.They also have classic candies like Milk Duds,Whoppers,Mike an Nike's etc.But,They also have candies you can't get just anywhere,like older candies that a lot of people like and aren't that common anymore.It always smells good in there.You can probably name any candy and find it here.A lot of the candies are small,but last long.They are very cheap! It's a wonderful candy store with white walls and old wooden floors and bright colourful candy of every style that dazzles the eye and temps the tummy. They have caramel apples dipped in dark chocolate. The bonbons are rich and flavored with rum or coconut or coffee inside. My favorite bonbon is the caramel pumpkins. They are made with chocolate on the outside, decorated with bright orange pumpkins and then inside is lush caramel with pumpkin and cinnamon. With a cup of hot tea or coffee, I eat them all as I walk around this great little town. Something sweet is such a gem. They have everything your sweet tooth could ever desire. Everyone that works in the store are so friendly and helpful. You have to stop in and see for yourself. I am so glad to have found this wonderful confectionery store! read more

Downtown Antioch is so cute and this place is great. The place is really warm and cozy and the ladies working there are so nice! My family and I have only been there 3 or 4 times. But right away the second time we were there the owner remembered us! The ice cream is really good. The salt water taffy is absolutely delicious. They have a fridge full of chocolates that come in any flavor you want. Usually candy stores like this are super pricey but not this place! The candy is delicious and not too expensive. The place is amazing, when I first went there I was not diabetic and tried a bunch of their sweets. The fudge was decadence personified, the rumballs little spheres of heaven. And the old candies from my childhood made me feel incredible. Then I became Diabetic and I felt I had lost my favorite little place. I tried a few thing's from their Sugar free selection and my lord. The first I tried was the sugar free white chocolate bark. Sugar Free has no right to taste that good.
