Never been here before, but it's the best Mexican food I've ever tasted in my life 10 out of 10 would recommend definitely eating again

    The ants will be happy

Hmmmm SOO ordered drive thru..bean burrito w/cheese.... No one else in the drive thru. Received a COLD burrito.... Cold beans... cheese wasn't even melted. I actually drove to work a mile away before realizing what I received. Just left it on an island landscape area for the ants! They need to eat tooBut yup.... Not good. I considered going back. But I rarely and I do mean RARELY do I go back‍I don't want anyone to do something to my food because I complained. Which happens a lot! SOO I'm gonna only go in the afternoon. Not gonna go in the morning. I don't get morning crew at Someburros. SOO there's you have it! Hopefully the next people in the drive thru get a better quality food. ‍‍

I love my Someburros. If you are a native of the Valley like me, then you grew up eating at Poncho's Mexican Food. I remember fighting with my siblings over that basket of sopapillas. The Vasquez family (longtime owners of Poncho's) opened the first Someburros in 1986. We now have several of these family-owned, fast-casual restaurants all over the Valley. They specifically cater to young families on a budget. If you follow my check-ins on Yelp, you know I stop at Someburros quite often. I constantly have cravings for some chips and that bottle of yummy hot sauce. Their hot sauce is pretty popular and I love getting a pint of it to go whenever I stop in. Someburros' menu consists of traditional Mexican food made from family recipes from Sonora, Mexico. Their signature Pollo Fundido is my personal favorite. Another favorite of mine is their Albondigas Soup that they serve in the Fall. In addition to food, they have horchata, alcohol and churros! They keep a calendar on the wall that highlights food specials and Valley events. Taco Tuesdays, Cinco de Mayo and ASU football games are big celebration days here at Someburro's with special discounts on some of their food. If you are hosting a big party, Someburros caters large platters of party-sized portions of their popular items. This location is in Tempe right next to ASU campus. If you want good Mexican food made quick, Someburros is always an easy choice. Someburros has drive-thru service if you are in a hurry. You can also order ahead. Someburros a rewards programs that has special discounts.

The potato egg onion burrito contained too much egg whites. It needs to be scrambled for me to enjoy it. ALSO, the mild sauce had no flavor at all.

    Someburros carne asada bowl, $10.65
    Stephanie L.

Solid flavors but scarce portions, at least in my carne asada bowl. I knew $10.65 for a bowl that included guacamole was too good to be true! The rod burro, however, was massive! Definitely a better bang for your buck.

Such affordable food that is actually delicious. I went on a Sunday and very few people were there. Seems like it's mainly takeout, which is what I got, but they have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating if you want to hang there. CJ at the front was very patient with me while I decided what to order! I got the Rod burrito, which is a huge wet burrito that comes with a bunch of things on the side, and the simple Machaca burrito, which was seven beautiful ounces of shredded beef. It wasn't too oily or too salty. I would definitely go back for a quick burrito with lots of fillings. The rustic decor is adorable, too. I love the effort they put into it!

I got the Egg, Bacon, Cheese, and Potato breakfast burrito (see picture). The cost of this burrito was right around seven dollars. I found it very filling and tasty for breakfast. Ordering this and choosing to dine it also got us a side of chips with our meal as well. The staff was very friendly and nice, right as we were getting up to leave one of the workers was already there picking up our trash for us. Which helped get the restaurant looking really clean all around. There is also outdoor seating and a drive-through if you do not want to eat inside the restaurant. When ordering your food inside you will not have to wait long at all to receive your food. I found that during my stay, the food had gotten to me and my group in a very short time, which I appreciated. If you are someone who does not like or want a breakfast burrito there are many other great-looking options to choose from for your food. For beverages, they had the standard fountain drinks that you can think of as well as some different types of lemonade and things like that. Also, as you can see in one of the pictures, if you are feeling like it you can always treat yourself to a margarita. If you find yourself in Tempe, Arizona I would definitely recommend Someburros to anyone looking for a great breakfast burrito to start of their morning.

Bacon, egg, cheese & potato burrito. HUGE, and very well mixed and melty on the inside.

Their breakfast burritos are HUGE!!! I ordered the bacon, egg, cheese & potato burrito and it was much larger than I expected, definitely shareable if you have a smaller morning appetite like I do. The insides were delicious, nice and melty, and well seasoned. The tortilla was the only thing that felt slightly undercooked to me. I also ordered a churro on the side which was so delicious, sweet, and perfectly cooked, it's an absolute must-try with your order!

Went here for dinner. After eating part of each enchilada I realized that the meat in the beef enchilada was pink and the chicken meat seemed to also have pink in it. Highly concerned that they are not fully cooking the food at this restaurant.

Our group of 8 ended up here when another Tempe restaurant had a kitchen emergency and cancelled our reso an hour before dinner. Alter Ego was able to accommodate us, and we were glad they did. If you enter from the street side you'd never know you're in a hotel restaurant. It's got an upscale, classy vibe not usually seen in hotel dining. The waiter and bartender were attentive and knowledgeable. The menu wasn't huge but it was a great variety of options. Table had some salads, flatbreads, burgers and a round of butter cake desserts. Each was really, really good. Way more sophisticated plates than expected. Also had a bunch of craft cocktails, unique and well made. Sometimes the best experiences are unplanned. But you SHOULD plan to give this place a try.

I got the bang bang shrimp and it was good (6/10). The problem that I have is the pistachio gin fizz was an absolute no! I am a HUGE fan of pistachio and gin so immediately I had to get his drink but it was beyond mediocre. Are we drinking only syrup??? My last complaint is the coconut tres leches dessert.... Do we actually know how to make tres leches or we just naming desserts however we want? Just curious. It came out super hot, steaming more like a molten cake. As a Hispanic woman, I was expecting a creamy moist cake to celebrate my graduation but this was not it as well. Last but not least if the bald manager with the orange shirt wants to eat in the back of the kitchen, not the problem I get it (I work at restaurants) HOWEVER shoving your two index fingers into your mouth to get your debris out was my last straw. Like I said I like this restaurant and never had problems but today felt like a fever dream there.

While the ambience is fairly simple, the overall experience is a positive one, especially once the food arrives. I ordered the lox and bagel and was impressed by how substantial the portion was. The lox was generously layered, with a large amount of arugula on top. The arugula appeared to be lightly dressed with olive oil, which added great flavor. While it did not fully align with my personal dietary preferences, it was well executed, and I would be happy to return to see if it can be adjusted. The dirty chai was another highlight in terms of flavor. It was well spiced and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. Although it was described as very hot when delivered, it arrived closer to lukewarm, but the taste itself was enjoyable. Service was efficient and attentive. The check was dropped off relatively early, which initially felt a bit quick, but our server continued to check in on us throughout the meal, creating a balanced and courteous experience. The fresh squeezed orange juice was excellent, and everything we ordered was well prepared. Parking in the area can be challenging, though the nearby parking structure behind Pedalhaus makes it more manageable. Overall, this is a reliable brunch option with strong portions, thoughtful flavors, and enough positives to make it a place I would gladly return to.

It was absolutely delicious and the best part of the dining experience. The BLTA (Bacon Lettuce Tomato Avacado) sandwich was way too heavy on the lettuce and the bread was quite hard, making it difficult to eat. It was moreso a handheld salad. Service was okay, though not especially attentive, as our water wasn't refilled. At the host stand there was some confusion when we arrived. She didnt realize we were standing there and then when my boyfriend asked a question about a menu item she didnt respond. To be fair, it was busy, but there also seemed to be plenty of wait staff, so I'm not exactly sure where the disconnect was. Food-wise: the spinach artichoke dip was definitely the table favorite. My caprese panini was ok, it was sadly lacking pesto which feels a little criminal for a caprese situation. They serve salads, bowls, sandwiches, all-day breakfast, protein shakes, fresh juices, and other healthy, fast-casual eats for dine-in or take-away. My kind of place! This is one of those spots that I'd frequent if I lived nearby (ChopShop, want to open in Northern California?!). I stumbled upon this spot after a little self-guided tour of ASU campus on a sleepy Sunday morning (everyone must have been asleep after the big football game the day before). I'd forgotten about this spot and it was such a happy surprise to find it again and to see that they survived the pandemic and are still thriving. First visit I ordered: -Cheat Day Wrap: scrambled egg, bacon, white cheddar, smashed avocado, tomato, brown rice (I ordered without rice), and turkey or ham (I skipped these too) *DELISH on a whole wheat wrap!!! Full of flavor and super easy to eat. This hearty breakfast sando fueled my active morning of hiking "A" Mountain (Hayden Butte Preserve) the running around the the IronMan course to spectate (30,000+ steps as a spectator!). We couldn't leave town without another trip. I took my guy and we enjoyed a salad, another breakfast wrap, and: -Chicken + Prosciutto Sandwich: grilled chicken, prosciutto, fontina, arugula, fig mostarda, dijon (no dijon for us), on a house bun. If you're in the area, looking for a healthy-ish breakfast, lunch, or snack, definitely check out Original ChopShop. Note: it gets busy at peak meal hours with students and faculty. But my first experience was not that great. They had plenty of places to sit, whether you like to sit indoors or outdoors. I decided to try the "Glow Up Shake," which is their protein shake. The shake was okay; it didn't blow me away. Considering that it has banana, pineapple, dates, etc., I was hoping it would melt in my mouth with a galaxy of flavor--darn, no such luck. But like I said, it was an okay drink that I think others might like. Now, as for the $3 pre-wrapped Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie? The first cookie they brought me was hard as a diamond. I asked if they could heat it up to soften it a bit like they do at Starbucks, but he said they can't? Wow, I didn't realize that heating a Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie was so complex that it can't be done by some places. Anyway, the minor good news was he brought me a different cookie that was soft enough to bend and break off a piece and chew without worrying about breaking a tooth. But the big question is, will I be back? Of course I will; the place has a plethora of healthy food which I like. And I'm sure when I order something other than a diamond-hard Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie, my experience will be somewhat better. This place does have a fantastic Wi-Fi. That's a plus.
