I came in as a walk in around 4 and even on a busy day I was seated and nearly ready to go by 5!! In the meantime the area around the shop is really nice to walk around with a really pretty cafe right next door and the beach across the way, you won't be bored in the meantime. I requested two lobe piercings and although some jewelry selections were on the pricier side, you can still find really pretty studs and rings on a budget. I found their jewelry to be of excellent quality and the staff give you a tour of all the jewelry of what you can and can't request for the specific piercing youre planning to get, which I found really helpful and considerate of them. The staff create a very friendly environment where you aren't afraid to ask any questions reguarding prices and so on. I had Liz do both my lobes, and she was totally absolutely amazing!! I've been here a couple times to change out my nose piercing and they are always sold out of basic jewelry. They only have crazy expensive rings. I've signed up for their calling list before where they call you once they receive the jewelry they're sold out of and never heard back. I always try to support small businesses but it's hard when the store has such a small selection of only expensive jewelry. I don't want to spend $300+ for a basic nose ring. read more

ATTN: this review is long. I had thought I had a good experience with somatic . I got two nose piercings pre-pandemic and never had a chance to get the barbells replaced with shorter ones after they fully healed. Needless to say, the long posts were annoying. The place I originally visited had closed so nearly two years after the piercing, I found Somatic. I visited and met with Alise for the service (sp?). Alise was really kind. Not overly talkative but enough to feel comfortable. It was quick and easy and I was sent on my way. Over the next few days, I was having some discomfort around the piercing but being as changing out jewelry sometimes causes this, I didn't pay attention. Today after looking at the piercings more, the back one definitely seemed too short. I decided to visit for a replacement. Here's where it starts to get weird and not cool. She tells me she is going to charge me for the hardware. The hardware that replaces the hardware that she incorrectly sized for my nose . Everyone makes mistakes and being someone who works in service with various types of people and preferences, I get it, but I do not think a customer should be paying for a mistake. Especially a mistake not rendered by the customer... but ok, whatever. I just want a bigger barbell. She finished the service and it felt way better. I came home and was now looking in the mirror...one of the white gold studs that I paid a lot of money for is now gone. I am guessing they didn't have the correct thickness and length to use my white gold stud and that's cool, but I should have been notified? It's just gone now, and I just feel kinda duped. The thickness of the post isn't even the same. TLDR : make sure you check piercing after. Make sure you leave with all original jewelry. Wow this place was nop notch! Super cleanly!! I've never been to an actual body piercing salon but needed my ears repierced for my wedding May. I got my nose pierced my Elise back in April 2022. She was very professional and fast! By the time I took a deep breath and breathed out, the piercing was already done! What I also want to point out is how clean and professional this shop is. They are strict with waiting room protocols, and sanitize all jewelry thoroughly (hence a few mins wait) before piercing you. I've also come back to get my stud switched to a hoop and it was another seamless experience. All The other ladies are super nice and really go out of their way to show you different jewelry options. I really had high hopes for this place as it was recommended by a good friend of mine. The front girl was amazing helping me pick out new jewelry for my 2 helix piercing. One of the piercers came out and joined the conversation and said, " heres some hand sanitizer, since I notice you keep touching your nose piercing ". I thought it was extremely rude. First of all, I'm all for sanitation and would never jeopardize health, but the way she went about it was extremely rude, and I wasn't even touching my nose ring. And second of all, she wasn't even part of the conversation to begin with. I spent $800 on jewelry there, but I for sure won't go back for any reason. If it weren't for the nice girl working the front, they wouldn't have my business at all. I was so disappointed as I said it was recommended by a good friend who has several piercing from here. I got a nostril piercing done here a few weeks ago with my coworkers and the two ladies that worked that day were SO nice, patient, and professional. We were there for so long because we couldn't choose what jewelry we wanted but they helped us through it & were very patient. Service was $30 and the jewel that I got was $25! So in total, I paid $55 plus they give the sea salt you use for after care! I came back recently to purchase a nostril glass retainer for $15. It was the cheapest out of all the piercing shops I called by my place (I live in the OC). The lady at the counter was super nice & even offered to put it in my nose for free! Had a great experience here today. Got a double nostril piercing and both of the ladies in the front were very pleasant and helpful. They sterilized my jewelry and I went to grab a coffee while I waited. They text me 20 minutes later to let me know that they were ready for me. They explained the cleansing and healing process to me and answered all my questions. I was pierced by Sara who was super chill. She lined up my piercings perfectly and I virtually didn't feel the needle go through my nostril. I was told to come back if I had any questions or needed my jewelry tightened. 8 hours later and I still don't feel any pain. I would (and will) go back in a heartbeat. read more
