I told her I look for support, slightly padded, and not too frilly. She measured me and said, "I'll be right back, I know the perfect bra for you" A little excited to see what she would return with, she came back to the dressing room with pieces of string that she claimed were bras. Not a one was supportive or padded, and there was lace all over. I told her those are not the types of bra I wear and off, she went to go grab a few more. This circus lasted for 4 returns to the dressing room until finally she went to get her manager, Margo. In the 3 minutes that Margo was in the dressing room, she left to come back with an appropriate bra. Margo was extremely helpful and made me feel like I wasn't wasting my time. Unfortunately, this boutique doesn't cater to plus sizes and I had to special order a bra in my size. Took a chance and after 2 weeks came back to try on. They weren't perfect, but would work, otherwise my only other option would be store credit that I would spend in friends because of their limited large sizes. A suggestion. Teach your staff the importance of listening to their customers so they are not bringing bras to you that are inappropriate or nothing at all what is being described. A word of caution to other plus size gals. Their selection is very limited. They have a no return policy only store credit. I took a leap of faith and special ordered 2 bras that I can live with. Had those been in stock when I was fitted, I would have passed on them.

My personal favs are the yoga , Pilates , run club , walking events , fundraisers , raffles , and in store shopping events . Everyone working here always asks me if they can help me with anything and I usually say yes because it's like having a personal shopping assistant! They are so good at finding sizes when I can't, and will sift through items for me so I don't have to. Who likes bra shopping? I certainly don't, but they make it so much easier by being so helpful. They also seem really knowledgeable about the types of products they have and what all the prices are. I can walk in and tell them I need a pair of pink pajamas for my 8 year old niece, a robe for my mom, and some jogging pants and it's like it just magically appears - BAM! The store always looks clean and nice and neat. There are a lot of brands of comfy clothes, like Hanes & Champion, prices are great, store is well-lit. Just a great store for reasonably priced necessities. All the staff is great, but I usually get helped by an amazing person named Cali, who is like a ray of sunshine. You know -- you're thinking to yourself 'do I need one more' and 'will I have things to match' and 'maybe I should wait'. But you get home and you're thinking about that bra all night. The next day, you decide you want that bra and you've made a huge mistake not ordering it that very day in the store (it wasn't in your size at the store, part of the reason you sat around thinking about it for 24 hours). So... I try to find it on the website and the website is not easy to navigate (at least for me) and I cannot find the bra by scanning for pictures. What is a girl to do? I call the store. No really, I call the store. I describe "it was in the second room and in that room you're staring at the new cloud collection but to the left there is a really light blue bra with a front snap and some lace on the back." No really, I called and asked if they could go and tell me about this bra. AND THEY ACTUALLY GO OUT AND FIND THE BRA AND GET BACK ON THE PHONE AND TELL ME EXACTLY WHICH ONE IT IS SO THAT I CAN ORDER IT ONLINE!!!!!!!! Best customer service ever. This was definitely above and beyond what any employee here should have to put up with. I'm sorry. But I am also not sorry because now the bra is on the way and I am so, so pleased.

I was actually surprised to find that I preferred the cut of the linen pants from the Factory Store over the ones at the regular Banana Republic. I had fully expected to like the more expensive Banana Republic version better and planned to buy those instead. For the items from my online order that didn't work out, the return process at the Factory Store was quick and easy, which made the whole shopping experience even better.
