I told her I look for support, slightly padded, and not too frilly. She measured me and said, "I'll be right back, I know the perfect bra for you" A little excited to see what she would return with, she came back to the dressing room with pieces of string that she claimed were bras. Not a one was supportive or padded, and there was lace all over. I told her those are not the types of bra I wear and off, she went to go grab a few more. This circus lasted for 4 returns to the dressing room until finally she went to get her manager, Margo. In the 3 minutes that Margo was in the dressing room, she left to come back with an appropriate bra. Margo was extremely helpful and made me feel like I wasn't wasting my time. Unfortunately, this boutique doesn't cater to plus sizes and I had to special order a bra in my size. Took a chance and after 2 weeks came back to try on. They weren't perfect, but would work, otherwise my only other option would be store credit that I would spend in friends because of their limited large sizes. A suggestion. Teach your staff the importance of listening to their customers so they are not bringing bras to you that are inappropriate or nothing at all what is being described. A word of caution to other plus size gals. Their selection is very limited. They have a no return policy only store credit. I took a leap of faith and special ordered 2 bras that I can live with. I looked at him and said "You're getting me a vintage pinup shoot!" After the shoot I can think of no truer words. Honestly I think I'm getting the better end of that deal! Ramsey, the photographer, and Kelly, make up artist, are incredibly charming and personable. I seriously walked in for my photo shoot and felt like I had known these lovely ladies my whooole life. They were easy going, sweet, and very helpful to someone who was unsure of the process. I told Ramsey I love Bettie Page but had no clue what to wear but that I liked reds/blacks and she pulled a ton of options, had me try them on and helped me pick out what was the most flattering. We ended up doing two outfits rather than just one because she liked them both so much. I also got to pick out props for the shoot. I chose a leopard print chair because rawr right? I also felt fabulous in my makeup and asked Kelly what she was doing while she was doing it and she talked me through everything. She was so good, in fact, I signed up for one of the makeup/hairstyle classes the next day! They offered me makeup wipes afterward and I think I replied "Who'd ever want to take this off?!"
