Went into the store for a bra for a wedding I needed a bra clear straps. The manager there at Short Pump picked out the bra went to try an orange kept barging into the room. The last time she barged into the room she told me I needed it to get done and come to the cash register. I don't need some rude manager, telling me I need to come out of the dressing room and pay for my merchandise. I won't ever come back there. I needed a couple of sleepshirts since I had practically worn my last ones out. I logged in to Soma to see that they were over $50 per sleepshirt, which seemed excessive for a long T-shirt. It said "buy one get one half price". OK! Lets get it done. I picked out two different patterns of the same sleepshirt, and when I got to check out, it kept telling me that if I don't check out now, they could be out of stock. I work a ton of hours, so the only reason I had time for this was a client cancelled an appointment. But two long T-shirts for $100 dollars???? Insane. I went to my cart, and it didn't calculate the discount. I was on hold for over 10 mins and no one in customer service picked up to tell me how to get the discount. They said they would keep me in "line for the next representative" and they would call me back. That was 5 hours ago. Then the system starting pressuring me that if I don't go back to my cart it will be sold out. I went to another company to buy them. I had been a loyal Soma customer for years. But they stink. What should have taken a couple of minutes didn't happen. Your customer service is awful. If you say you will call back as soon as a representative is available than do it. This whole experience sucked. read more

I had a great experience here with the manager on duty at the time. I needed to be measured and fitted for a new bra. The woman took her time and clearly measured me, had me try on several different bras and styles and found me 2 different ones that are great and didn't break the bank. Excellent service! read more

Their products are definitely more expensive, but the quality is incredible and definitely worth it. I'd recommend just buying a few cute underwear there, and buy your bras and everyday underwear elsewhere. This is both because I would t necessarily recommend their bras and because it could beat to hand wash their underwear, which is something you might not want to have to every day. read more

I told her that I needed a different style of bra and after trying on 15+ we found two that fit me properly. She also measured me and helped me in the trying on process, as I needed assistance. I had been putting off getting my breasts measured for so long. After a not so subtle hint from my boyfriend I decided to venture on my lunch break to get it taken care of and pick up some new undies as well. The young girls at the nearby Victoria Secrets measurements of my chest always seemed incorrect so I decided to try Soma. From the moment I entered Soma, I was treated like a queen. I got the pleasure to be helped by the spirited Jane. She was amazing. So sweet and endearing. I explained to her what I was needing. She measured me expertly, explaining everything along the way. When I told her what things I look for in a comfortable bra, she paid close attention. She made great suggestions and felt for the first time I was sized properly. The bras I ended up purchasing were so comfortable, yet sexy. I ended up ordering more bras, underwear and a robe online for even less. I also have received several coupons since my initial in store visit. Be sure to sign up for their free Soma Rewards program to earn discounts on your purchases. If i could i would give this place 0 stars. I purchased two bras my first time last September. One of the bras wires came out 4 months after purchased. I went back into the store a month later because I have to drive 30 mins to get to the store so i had to find time to go. I went inside and asked if there was anything they could do for me. She said no because you are past the 60 days of purchase and there was nothing she could do. She proceeded to tell me that a life span of a bra is 6 months. I told her i don't wear the bras everyday i switch them up so they should last me at least a year. Then she said are you washing them and told me how i should be washing them. I told her i was all my bras gentle and hang dry them. She then said again nothing she can do. I was upset because these bras aren't cheap and I do like them. I felt like she just didn't want to help me and take a loss. So i emailed the customer service told them what happened. They immediately apologized and said they would send me a new bra right away. I got my bra in the mail 3 days later for free no cost. If they want returning clients to their store they should go above and beyond to see if there was anything she could do but she didn't. I will never go back to that store and i will be purchasing online from now on. I will also make sure other women know so they don't give their business to that store. read more

Let's be honest. We all reach a point where certain bras just don't cut it anymore (ahem Victoria's Secrets...). Sure, those lacy, no lining, demi cup bras are beautiful, but at a certain age and especially after kids, it just isn't happening anymore. I first went to Soma about 5 years ago after moving to the area and having my first child, needing to finally find a bra to manage the postpartum madness. The staff was extremely helpful in measuring me, and finding a bra that met my needs, which at the time was called the Nadia bra. Over the next year I ended up going back and buying 2 more. After having my second child in 2014, my original Nadia's had reached their limits and I went back this weekend to buy some replacements. I was helped mainly by Juliet, although everyone in the store was extremely helpful. The Nadia is no longer made, but I ended up purchasing two vanishing back bras which seems to be the same bra to me. We tried some others that I also loved but this one worked the best while still losing the baby weight. I honestly think I will only buy Soma bras from now on. They are comparable in price to V.S., and lets be honest, you really don't buy bras very often, so get good ones! read more

Don't shop here if you are not wearing the clothes in the next 60 days after purchase. I bought two pajamas set on clearance and after couple washes (inside out, gentle cycle, tumble dry low) they are covered in lint. They don't do anything about it since it has been over 60 days. read more

I am near the end of my pregnancy, and went in for the somewhat-dreaded task of being fit for nursing bras. The bras seemed very nicely made and reasonably-priced. However, the fitting was a terrible experience. The associate was very nice but seemed very nervous; she took one measurement (incorrectly) and left to get sizes. I'm aware the ribcage expands in pregnancy, but she brought huge band sizes paired with cup sizes smaller than my pre-pregnancy bras. The result was that my breasts were squeezed out of every available outlet - in the middle, into my armpits, practically up my neck. After trying on 3, I tried to suggest a size, but instead she brought in another associate who opined that the current bra was "a lovely fit." I indicated the abundance of visible axillary tissue and she stated "oh, that is just YOUR ARMPIT SKIN." I think I started laughing, but really, now at the end of pregnancy, I am hormonal and moody and so tired of every random person I encounter commenting on my body shape that I was more inclined to crying. I corrected her by stating that the excess tissue was actually my breast tissue, which was met with thinned lips, a pained expression, and the statement "no, that is just the way you are made." Really, I was unaware I was made to be unable to lower my arms completely. Odd that I never noted an abundance of "armpit skin" before in my life. Doubly odd that it went away as soon as I put on my own bra again. (Even aside from the poor fit, a cursory examination of any anatomy textbook will show you that, voila, the female breast extends into the armpit - that tissue, my dear associate, is in fact all of one piece). I was looking for a new bra and I heard some good things about this place. I thought it would be way too expensive, but I had some free time so went it. There bra prices are no different than Victorias Secret, but I think the quality is way better. The best suprise about this place is they have clothes too!!!! Really comfy sundresses and casual work dresses. Why did I give it 4 stars? The first time i went in, it was clear I had a new person. But I went with it :) After two days wearing the bra, it was cutting me on my side. I went back in and let them know and they told me i was sized wrong and they were very apologetic. They resized me and got me the right size in the bra I had and I never had another issue with the bra. Did I mention their jammies??? OMG!!!! They are made of the sofest material ever!!! I got some as a gift from my fiance last Christmas and never even knew they were from there! Most important point - you don't have to be a size two to find REALLY pretty things that flatter your body type in here - from dresses to nighttime stuff. Good stuff if you might be going on a special trip like an anniversary weekend, honeymoon, or just want to feel pretty right at home! This is the very first yelp review I've ever posted. I'm 35 and have never been able to find a good fitting bra. After losing a bunch of weight it was still a daunting task. I put off getting properly sized for years due to intense anxiety. I would instead hit up kohl's grab 50 bras I thought could be the right size per my self measuring, none of them would work, I would get frustrated and leave in tears. Soma was recommended to me and I finally worked up the courage to give it a try. from the moment I walked into the store until I walked out I had the best experience I could have asked for. Andrea was my fitter. She was incredible, made me feel completely comfortable and confident. We found a style and size without too much difficulty that fits fantastic and I walked out with 4 new bras and a new found confidence in how my clothes will fit. I had an A+ experience and would recommend every woman to go here for a fitting with someone who actually knows what they're doing. Andrea was also very honest about which one looked good and which one didn't, meaning she wasn't there just to sell me. Highly recommend Soma and if you can, ask for Andrea! read more
