I bought some pretty new dresses, and I could wear none of them because I did not have bras that would work with those dresses. I was not even sure of my proper size anymore, and knew it was time to finally be fitted properly for a bra. I made an appointment online with Linda's Bra Salon. It took us one hour to get there, and it was totally worth it. My fitter, Lori, put me completely at ease. She was professional, compassionate, knowledgeable and funny. She made me feel very comfortable when she was measuring me and helping me trying on bras. She said that most women wear the wrong bra size, and I was most definitely one of them. She helped me try on a lot of bras, and found the perfect bra that would work with the new dresses. (I brought the dresses with me to the fitting so I could try them on with the bras). I ended up buying 5 bras. No hard sell. The bras are beautiful, they feel so comfortable, and I ended up wearing one of them out of the store. Prices are about what you would expect to pay for a good bra. They will even ship bras to you if you can't make it back to the store. They have an enormous selection of bras, even outside of the "mainstream" sizes. I really felt so good about this experience. I was treated with dignity, with compassion and with respect. I don't think I can ever buy an ill fitting bra online again.

I look over as we drive by and said, ya, good idea.. I think I will- if you know us, this is not an odd conversation between us, because my hubby listens and remembers all the countless idiot details of my fly by conversations and mutterings, I'm a redhead, I mutter a lot. So Wednesday (my usual day of appointments) I took a beautiful drive down Rte 70 to Linda's. I love the store, it's comfortable and sweet looking. So first things first, wear pants or shorts, unless you wanna stand in the dressing room/fitting in your panties, ya I was wearing my everyday panties with a sundress and ill fitting bra,, sad times my friends, sad times. But Linda was super upbeat and my shyness was quickly erased. When she said she had exactly, what I needed. (Whispering between you and me- evidently I was wearing my bras too loose, go figure") hahaha. MOVING ON!!! I was measured and I can say I am a double digit, single letter bra gal! off she went to get me the most BEAUTIFUL bras I have ever seen, now mind you, I have 2 La Perla sets, that I bought many years ago, that I adore & treasure and only bring out..... when I wanna win the war if ya know what I mean (LOL). So the bras Linda brought me, are stunning and just made me feel so pretty and they were so very comfortable. I wasn't disappointed in the colours, in fact the green was stunning, the styles and designs of lace she brought me to try on, I wouldn't have considered at all- so she does see you as not just a client but as an individual and finds what will look good on you and give you the support you need, not just physically but mentally, because we have all been in those (dept store fitting rooms and they do us no favors). So 6 bras later, two pairs of matching bragas I was almost done.. one bra I absolutely loved that clips like an X , needed the straps to be taken in so I can wear it with my fancy dress and give stronger support (she is mailing it to me when it's done) and I bought a one piece "snatch it all in bodysuit"- I didn't think it would work but da--yummm !! ya I bought it and also special cleaning soap for my unmentionable- mentionables. I joined the bra club and walked out very very very happy. Thank you Linda you are indeed The Bra Queen.

I went to the store about six years ago at their prior location. It was a terrible experience…read morebecause the person who was assisting me could not find bras that fit me and tried to convince me that they are supposed to be uncomfortable.. I told her that I could not wear what I was trying on because it was painful and she said that I would just have to deal with it. A couple of weeks ago I was walking by the store at its new location and I thought perhaps it would be a different situation with different people inside. Because I am a larger size they could not find any bras that fit me that were Wireless. I do not wear underwire bras to protect my health. The sales person behind the counter who helped me was very kind and dug around in the back to bring me things to try on. At one point, I was wearing a bra that she thought would fit me based on the size that I told her I was, and I showed her how I was coming out all over the place and told her I needed a larger size. She excused herself and went and got someone else. And I am pretty sure this is the Owner or Manager and most likely the same cruel person I encountered years before. This person started to argue with me about how I could not have another size. And I said I needed a larger size and the first sales person looked at the other one asking permission if she can get me a larger size and then that one, the manager or whatever again tries to talk me out of it. It was as if I needed permission to go up to a larger size. This store is useless if you are in the larger size realm. I will never go back again and I look forward to finding a place where I can get an actual fitting like I did in New York years ago from a French bra shop, which was spot on and perfect the first time with many options.

I am utterly amazed at the staff's professionalism and ability to put at ease even a plus-sized, long-term-undergarment-phobic like me. The fitting took 60 seconds and then I explained my requirements for every day (no itchy lace plus extreme comfort with enough support to keep my back from hurting), and what I need for a special event dress (support you cannot see; comfort optional). Dana brought me many different options for both scenarios, which, to the extent I was comfortable with it, she helped me to try on and adjust. Very quickly I became so comfortable that she helped me the whole time. Dana is fabulous but relatively new, and so a wonderful expert verified everything she did. They explained to me the different bra styles and what they do, as well as UK vs US sizing etc. It was a terrific experience. Ultimately I chose a $56 strapless for the event dress, and for every day, I picked two $99 each Evelyn Bobbie sports-bra variations and a $65 Emoli underwire for the every day occasions when I need to dress less casually. So. For $317 I got: 1. An expert fitting in a private setting 2. Two hours of un-rushed selection and fit assistance plus education from incredible ladies who both know their stuff and understand the "ick" factor. 3. Two everyday comfort bras that fit well. 4. One "dress a little better" every day bra. 5. One strapless bra for the event dress. When I was checking out, there was a woman of about 40 at the register next to me who had driven 85 miles for their services. The checkout staff said "yes we have people who come from all over". I understand why. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
