I haven't been here for years because this is not the kind of things I like to spend my money on. I am to the point I couldn't put it off any longer. I had one on one customer service with Elle. She listened to me as I told her what I disliked about bras and why I wear the kind I do. She said "I know exactly what you need," and she was so right. Right now, everything is 30% off, and panties are buy three, and get two free. The store is so pretty, well stocked and clean. I like this place over Victoria Secret. I feel this store is more for mature women. I feel out of place at VS. I won't wait so long before returning this time. They do have a rewards program so be sure to sign up. 7/20/26 read more

If I could only give zero. If you think your underwire bra was uncomfortable, just wait until you wear one of their wireless bras for a day. Feels soft. Wear them , it is like your chest wrapped in stiff cardboard digging into your armpits. Cup size is not American cup size. You are pushed up and over. Breathing is difficult. I've heard about Soma from various gal pal's throughout the years. I finally stopped into this location after a frustrating and unsuccessful shopping trip to another pop bra store. I was greeted right away and given one on one attention the whole time I was there. The staff member was patient, informative, and helpful while I was sized and I tried on various sizes, colors and styles. I finally found a style that was comfortable and pretty. The store was neatly organized and not overrun with merchandise. read more

Sis and I went as we were in need of some new bras. Friendly staff greeted us and promptly roomed us to get us measured and started on our journey on getting a properly fitted bra. After about 10....I finally got one picked out for me. Sis tried 4 and come to find out, ours were the same brand! Now to just get my mom to go in and get fitted and to let go of her "old school" idea of a bra. Highly recommend this store. read more

This place is great. Tish always helps me out and she is the best. Patient, stylish and is always on her toes! Looking for clearance items? Lots of it, all the way at the back, hidden where the change rooms are. Smaller store but well appointed. So much choice. New apparel is always coming in. The service makes it for me though. Modesty has to go out the window for sure but Tish will see to it that you are comfortable and that you leave happy. Not cheap. But check out the clearance racks for the deals. read more

Alyssa with the Rockstar drink behind the counter was very irritated when I asked about any specials they had going on. You have to understand that you have "coupons" on your account without knowing exactly what you have until you check out. Items that were in sale were not advertised as such --sports bras for $25 when there was a vague sign near them stating "$29.50." I could go on, but let's just say that things could improve here. Items I buy here are always fine. If brick and mortar store closes, it's due to the staff. read more

I can't say enough good things about the customer service here. My 12-year-old daughter is autistic and has an intellectual disability. I have taken her to Victoria's Secret and a few department store trying to get a decent fitting but found sales staff to be less than helpful. I first took her to Soma in October 2016 after it was recommended by a friend. We got excellent service and the bras were perfect. I took her back the Saturday after Thanksgiving this year, and it was very busy. Even so, we were given personal attention. Their changing rooms are very nice, and the sales clerk, Tayler, was very kind and helpful. We were in and out much more quickly than I expected, and my daughter loved her new bras so much that she insisted on wearing one home. I did the online service survey because I was so impressed by our experience, and a few days later we received a handwritten thank you from the manager! My daughter and I will definitely be getting all our bras here in the future. Everything we have bought here has held up nicely, and the staff is wonderful. read more

Soma needs new staff. Before Covid, I would always go to Soma for all my intimates and for pajamas and it was so welcoming and everyone made shopping fun and easy! It was my first time going to Soma since the pandemic and all I can say is, I didn't feel welcome at all. When I first walked into the store, I was greeted by a real nice young lady who was really sweet, and I told her I needed some new bras, so she explained to me that I should get fit... Never again. The lady who she passed me on to, who was now doing my fit, wasn't as welcoming as the other one. She seemed irritated and working as if she was in a rush. The store wasn't busy considering it was only me and 2 other women. I wasn't able to catch her name but the real skinny girl with tattoos definitely needs to fix attitude, tone, and nasty looks. With Soma being a nice store, the nice employees need to come with it. Maybe I came in on the wrong day, but the next time I go buy new bras, it will probably be an online purchase. read more

I purchased two bras a couple of weeks ago, liked them. Wore one a few times and it developed the dreaded cup crease. Took back for exchange, was told that the quality of the bra was not good. If I wanted a better bra I would have to spend more $ to get a better bra. I was completely shocked at the way the manager handled my complaint. She did do the exchange but said that if it happened again she would not exchange it. My jaw dropped. I will never go back to the Bakersfield store, EVER! read more

I can't remember who helped me but she was amazing. She brought me bra after bra until I found the perfect fit. My bras fit well and are comfortable. I didn't know Soma had plus sized pajamas and dresses also. Definitely going back! read more

I just walked out with my client. My client is in a wheel chair. We could barely get in the store because the door stopper was broken. It's actually just tapped to the door. Upon walking in no one greeted us. We were the third small party in the store. I couldn't find not one bra in my size and I looked through out the store. Not one sales person asked if I needed help. At this point my client and i were the second party in the store. It felt like they were ignoring us. Once we in the back of the store towards the register I looked up and thought with all these racks of pajamas and panty bins there's NO WAY we can get back out. I was right. Sadly the wheel chair hit every other thing in the store. Finally we got to the door and it was pretty much impossible to get her and myself out without looking a fool.. thanks soma. read more

I love Soma but this particular location disappoints me. The selection is limited, especially sale items (if there are any). The customer service this last time was also poor. Two young girls greeted me with "what's 9x3"? Then they were taunting each other over who was correct. They continued to play a trivia game on their phones. Neither asked if I needed any assistance. As I left, I was the one who said "have a good night". One said "thanks". Neither bothered to wish me the same. I've been a loyal Soma, Chicos, WHBM customer for years and this was unsettling to me. I shopped here for some Christmas gifts on December 23rd. Most associates are grumpy and tired that close to Christmas, but the ladies there were so accommodating. They checked the back stock for me several times in search for the right pajamas in the right size. They packaged my gifts so nicely. I had never shopped here before but now I'm considering being a regular. read more

I would not recommend buying a bra here. They are expensive and within 3 months of having a bra I have only worn a handful of times the underwire has already popped out. I was told when I purchased the bra that you could return a bra at anytime if you were unsatisfied with the quality. I tried to take it back in to exchange it since the underwire has poked through and they informed me they only return items if the tag is still attached and unworn. I was definitely irritated since the bra was expensive and I was told I could return anything if I was unsatisfied. I will NEVER buy a bra from here again. Their products aren't worth the money and the backing of their products is terrible. DO NOT buy from here! read more
