The staff is friendly, but the selection and value aren't quite there on one side of the store they have the plus plus sizes, and the other side has the small-sized, I could not find the in between? I'm a size 10 in jeans they had sizes 9, 5, 12, 15 plus plus, and Pettit. Some of the items looked really cheap, and the quality was bad for the price. I gave them 4 stars because they're very friendly and they do have a good variety of clothes, shoes and accessories. Plus there fitting room is open now! The only cons that I wish they would improve is 1) almost everything is final sell. 2) they don't have enough options for plus size girlies. I look at the smaller sizes and there's so much variety with cute clothes but for plus size it's just one small little corner with clothes that looks like what my grandma will wear. Plus size can wear cute clothes too! I still go because every once in a while they'll be one cute plus size thing but I wish I didn't have to be a scavenger for something cute to wear in the plus size section, just wished they focused on bigger sizes here. Hmm. I really like their clothes, but the last time I went the dressing rooms were still closed, and even worse there isn't a single full length mirror in the store. What? I even asked one of the employees about it lol. How can a clothing store not even have a full length mirror? That's one of the dumbest business moves I've seen, and that's saying a lot. I will say, they seem to have finally turned on the air conditioning! Lol. Seriously, I almost stopped shopping here in the past because the store was always like 90 degrees. That's not only unpleasant for customers, they're basically sweatshop working conditions -- bakersfield is too hot for that, and if air conditioning is too expensive maybe you need to downsize your space or find a business you can afford to run properly. I love Sarah's they have a huge selection of modern clothes that fits with the current fashion trends. They just recently went through changes and started bringing in whole sale products that they bought off Charlotte ruse and target (I know these brands very well). I wasn't a big fan of the new change. In addition they used to have a selection of super cute shoes and heels but they stopped bringing in new product so that's super disappointing. In the same building is a boba shop and I think it's super cool shopping for clothing and then getting myself a boba drink lol. read more

Came here to look for an affordable fancy purse for a wedding that I'm going to. I was expecting unorganized items since it used to be the Gottschalks mall. To my surprise this place was the opposite of everything I was thinking of. When you get in, you are welcomed by their well laid out items and when you check the prices?! So affordable!! I looked around and noticed how organized this place is and not to mention clean!!! Girls that work here are helpful but hunting them down was a little hard. I don't think they have enough staff to spread all through out the store. And when I did, they were all clumped by the cashier/jewelry area. In the end, I found me a purse and really cute earrings at a whopping price of $25+ including tax! Im a very happy camper and definitely coming back. read more

So I've been to the Sarah Outlet a couple times. They have a lot of fashionable clothing at a very discounted price, the quality isn't the best but this place is mainly for here fore cheapness and trendiness. But the last time that I went I felt uncomfortable. I got there right when they opened and once I had gotten inside, one of the employees approached me and asked if I was single like he was going to ask me on a date. I politely declined and told him that I am happily married. It just made my shopping experience uncomfortable because I felt like he was awkwardly avoiding me the whole time afterwords. I didn't end up buying anything even though I liked a couple items because I just had a weird vibe after that. I guess moral of the story is this... If you work in a retail store and you're going to ask someone out, wait until they are about to leave that way if they say no it's not as awkward lol read more

They have a lot of trendy clothes you typically find at fashionnova or forever21 (sometimes even the same exact items) for a much more affordable price. I honestly don't know how anyone can give a negative review. You get what you pay for so don't expect some high quality material if the item is only $6. If you want a bang for your buck, Sarah Outlet is definitely the way to go. Only con is that their shoes are always low in stock, probably because they're so cheap too. Their casual shoes (sandals/sneakers) range from like 7.99-12.99, whereas the same exact shoes at other stores in the mall or online are over $20. read more

I gave it 3 stars because they do have a plus size section that has cute clothes but NO FITTING ROOMS AND ALL ARE FINAL SELL! How are people going to know how it fits if they can't even try them on. The clothes might look good on the hanger but until you try them on will u know if u like the fit. Then on top of that everything is pretty much final sale , so your stuck with clothes if they do not fit good. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else. I only went here as an emergency to find a black dress. Also they are moving things and have construction going on, which makes the store look weird with all the plastic around. They have plus size clothing, a lot dresses, makeup, purses, shoes, men's clothing, hair accessories and jewelry. The prices are awesome! Bows are only 70 cents! Downfall- you can't exchange shoes and you have to carry everything(they don't have handheld bags or baskets to carry your items while shopping). Like the other reviews, I had the same issues with the fitting rooms being unavailable. They have cute clothes, but not the best quality. I'm all for supporting local businesses, but not when they aren't accommodating to their customers. The fact that there are no mirrors anywhere and the fitting rooms are unavailable, would make you think they have a reasonable return policy. Well they don't! Half of their merchandise is final sale, the rest is exchange ONLY and within 15 days of your purchase. So you don't have the opportunity to try anything on, you are paying double for shein quality, and they have such a strict return policy? Makes NO sense to me. I had about $200 worth of merchandise, and left it all. I'll take my money somewhere else. With the struggles that this pandemic has brought small businesses, if Sarah's management team don't change their policies, I wouldn't be surprised if they close soon. read more

Such a vast amount of options here not just clothing for all the different seasons, genders and ages; but they also carry shoes, makeup, jewelry, lingerie and even school supplies or just some miscellaneous items you'd need around your house because they are too cute not to be shared. Everything is usually at a very fair price and the items for the most part last awhile, the only things from this store I wouldn't recommend is there thin Cammy tanks in a variety of different colors.. they fall apart at seams after the 2nd or 3rd wash. read more

I'm giving this place a 3/5 only because there are things that could be done that I believe that would make this place a lot better. Huge plus is the store has thousands of clothes to choose from whether it be (going out outfits, business clothes, casual clothes, shoes and even men's items). There clothes as well are not pricey. I bought about 6 shirts and a pair of pants and only spent around $70. The only downfall is the store kinda has a weird smell to it and their air conditioning doesn't work so they run off of swamp fans to keep the place somewhat cool. However, since it is the summer time this place was pretty hot for me(I am hot blooded), but the cost of the clothes made up for it! read more

I got a gift card here from a white elephant game at my Christmas party and I was excited to try this place out because I've heard great things about it. The store was really clean but I don't get the layout. It's kind of hard to find what you're looking for. The clothes here are fashionable and very affordable but run kind of small. The staff is half and half. The girls at the fitting room were sweet but the people doing the floor sets seemed very focused, annoyed and miserable. Overall, I'd shop here again but it's definitely a place that I'd have to come to with more time and without my kids. read more

Giving two stars because they have a huge selection, low prices, and the racks are neatly organized, but I am hugely concerned with the overall cleanliness.. I was shopping with my child who, as children do, needed to use the bathroom NOW! I was disgusted when I walked into a stall with trash overflowing and the toilet filled to the brim. I decided to wait for the second stall to open up only to find BLOOD dripping down the front of the toilet. I expressed my concern to a worker who shrugged it off because she was only a stocker... This place used to have nice and affordable clothes. I came on a Monday and there was about 20 employees working, not one greeted me or smiled. I don't like how they are bringing in Target merchandise for a "Cheaper" price. Focus on clothes not a warehouse. I believe I even seen a pallet of dog food?!! The clothes are pretty nice and have a lot of variety. The make up is really hit or miss. Like I bought mascara there in the package and it was dried and the spooly was matted with like melted mascara to the point where it was like rubber cement. I bought eye liner from a different brand and the brush is totally messed up. These occurances were several weeks apart. read more

Used to be my favorite store to come to in Bakersfield, not anymore! Just had the most uncomfortable experience ever..i walked to the makeup and accessories section which was good until I felt I was being watched! I look back to notice one of the associates wouldn't take his eyes off me as if I was gonna steal something and I was just asked by a the same male associate to make sure my child was not touching any makeup because "the boss gets mad" my daughter just barely touched a freaking nail polish and he came to me after I had already asked her not to touch. So annoyed that after I'm being the parent to actually catch the child's attention he had to come tell me to make sure she wasn't touching anything! I just left the store and my basket full of things and walked out, they are not getting my money! At least not today..So angry! read more
