There aren't a ton of places in town with a wide Carrhart selection but this place has a ton of variety! From the moment we walked in we had more than 1 employee greet us and ask if we needed help looking for a specific item. Price wise there's a wide variety and it's what you'd expect for each brand they carry. Besides Carrhart we were also excited to see Ben Davis is here. There's a small kids section and a small women's section. The kids section had a little play house for kids to relax which is great for families out shopping. The majority of the store is men's clothing but can definitely be duped as unisex. This was my first time here but I'm sure we will be back soon! This Nordstrom Rack has plenty of inventory it just happens to be average, overpriced items that can be found at the TJ Maxx right next door or somewhere between Marshalls and Kohls. Today was probably one of the few times that I actually was looking for a pair of shoes and they happen to be some hocus I don't believe Nordstrom Rack does price matching when they add their stickers to their products but a lot of their products are overpriced whether something is on sale or not is debatable. Today I was looking for On clouds or Hokas for my upcoming trip. The Nordstrom Rack usually has comparable prices to online at the on store or even the Hoka store but after researching several items including the one in the pictures below there's no reason to shop at Nordstrom Rack anymore, instead shop online and save 10 to 20%. I really do understand sales price meaning Hoka can run better sales in most cases as the manufacturer but most items are overpriced in Nordstrom Rack. Ralph Lauren polo shirts two to three years old are still running $70 even more expensive than the outlet price, basically Nordstrom Rack is overpriced in my opinion and this one in Bakersfield has given me reason to continue to go.

They'd fit strange, too tight around the ankle, too loose around the widest part of my foot. I'd fiddled and adjusted and just wasn't happy so I brought in a pair of boots that I'd bought months before and asked for a refund. There was no drama, no issue, no problem. 10 minutes later I had a new pair of shorts and $40 or $50 refunded to my credit card and I was back in the car. After a long time my son finally found two pair he wanted. Took them up to pay when the cashier couldn't figure out why the discount wasn't being taken off. She asked a coworker I assume is a supervisor why it's not coming off. She then tried to ring them up on her register and discovered it's not on "work jeans", one of his jeans were considered to be. No sign around the store said it excluded work jeans. Even the associates didn't know that. Even the associate helping us suggested the jeans not included in the sale. The thing that really got my goat is they laughed about it and said "oops false advertising ". Do better Boot Barn!
