    Creme brûlée
    Susan D.

Was visiting the area and Mom mentioned this new restaurant. It opens at 3pm daily, closed Sundays. If you go on a Monday or Tuesday between 3-5pm, no reservation needed. And they may have ingredients left to still serve weekend specials on Monday. But it's a cozy space- plan on making reservations as you approach the weekend. We tried a number of dishes and took leftovers to go. Jill was an excellent and friendly server- check out their IG posts to see other menu items. Margarita pizza was delish. We tried the Solís Marinara and Rosemary chicken spaghetti. All the pasta is homemade and you can sub different types of pasta. I added sausage to the marinara. A good amount of protein served with the pastas- can't beat homemade pasta. We also enjoyed fresh bread and shared a side of perfect cheese risotto. And how can you pass up dessert? Mom enjoyed the Earl Grey Crème brûlée while I had the chocolate anglaise- both were fantastic. Good value for the serving sizes. Check out their friendly bar service or pick up an order to go. A welcome addition to the neighborhood. I meant to ask about the availability of gift cards- would treat my Mom in the future.

Terrible food. The pasta sauce was inedible and watery. Fennel does not belong in pasta sauce. Lackluster wine list, average service.

I ordered the Rosemary Chicken Spaghetti (swapped out spaghetti for pappardelle pasta) with the grilled chicken.

Right in the middle of dinner, every single phone in the room went off at the same time with a tornado warning. You could feel the shift for a second--everyone looking around, trying to figure out what was happening--and then shortly after, the lights went out. No candles, no backup lighting, just a room full of people sitting together in the dark, lit by phone screens, laughing and taking it all in. (Yes, we got a picture--because how could you not?) What stood out immediately was how calm everything remained. There was no chaos, no confusion, and no sense of panic. The staff handled it with a level of professionalism and composure that honestly impressed all of us. And that's where Noah deserves real recognition. Noah went above and beyond in a way that you just don't see every day. When we asked what the plan was if things escalated, he didn't brush it off--he made sure we knew exactly what would happen and reassured us that we would be taken care of and moved safely to the kitchen if needed. That level of awareness, communication, and care made a huge difference in the moment. Now let's talk about the food--because even without the storm story, this place stands on its own. Everything was excellent. The salads were fresh and well-prepared, the meals were flavorful and clearly made with care, and the overall quality across the table was consistent. You can tell this is a restaurant that has built its reputation over time and continues to deliver. The atmosphere also deserves a callout. There's something about this place that feels genuinely personal. The family photos throughout the restaurant--even in the bathrooms--gave it a warmth that's hard to describe but instantly recognizable. It reminded me of my Nana and Papa, that kind of nostalgic, comforting feeling that you don't often get in restaurants anymore. And somehow, even sitting in the dark during a tornado warning, that feeling didn't go away--it actually made it stronger. That says everything. End result: * Incredible, high-quality food * Exceptional, thoughtful service (huge shoutout to Noah and the team) * A warm, authentic, family-style atmosphere * A once-in-a-lifetime dinner experience we'll never forget Amazing experience--lights or not. If you're in the area, go. And if something unexpected happens while you're there, just know--you're in good hands. Would absolutely come back.
