I do not recommend that anyone use Solution Plumbing & Heating for their plumbing or home repair. Their prices are attractive, but their reliability and customer service are dismal. If a mistake is made (which happens frequently in general contracting, that's just the way it is) you will witness the most gruesome display of unprofessionalism by the owner, Ryan. He will blame you for the mistake, accuse you of lying, and make up stories to cover himself.
Myself and several other tenants in our condo needed our hot water tanks replaced. One tenant recommended Solution, we contacted them, and got a great bulk rate deal for all of the tanks. When the time came for my tank to be replaced, I was at work and my parents were at my condo to be there in case anything came up. Solution contacted me at work to notify my stacked washer and dryer was broken, (which I was aware of) leaking oil, they didn't recommend reconnecting it, and I agreed. After they completed installing the tank, my parents signed off on the work and Solution left.
Roughly a week after installation, I started hearing a 'drip, drip' in the water closet (where the tank is), and after about a week I called Solution Plumbing and Heating and they came out to take a look. They couldn't find anything wrong with the water heater, or any wet spots in my unit. About two days later the water sound got louder, so I contacted another plumbing company to take a look. They discovered the source of the drip - one of the angle stops that connects the water pipes to the washing machine was not closed all the way. They turned the handle and turned the water off, and the dripping sound stopped. I did not touch the washing machine or angle stop in any way after the water tank was replaced, so it appeared that Solution didn't turn the valves off all the way when they disconnected the machine. In addition, after consulting with several other plumbers, it was made clear that Solution Plumbing should have installed rubber hosing between the two angle stops to prevent this sort of leak from happening.
As it turns out, the leak from the open angle stops caused significant water damage to my wall and the walls of the two units below me, and would take months to repair. I agreed to let Solution come out and reassess their work, but as soon as Ryan entered my unit, he accused me of trying to reconnect the washer and dryer on my own, causing a mess, and attempting to blame it on them. Again, I did not touch the washing machine or angle stops in any way after they were disconnected. I attempted to explain this to Ryan, but all he did was accuse me of lying and trying to scam them. After this, I just left it to insurance to deal with the mess.
I can understand a company defending their work, or even making an unintentional error, but to accuse a customer of lying and dishonesty is just terrible practice.
