Total relaxation with every detail taken care of. First the husband/wife innkeepers Shawn and Steve were amazing and cared so much that we had a wonderful stay. We had my elderly parents w us in their ground floor room called the "Islandscape"and we had one of the main house "Narada" room. The view and location were fantastic. The breakfasts were special 3 course including fresh fruit and something sweet and savory. The baked goods every day by Shawn showed her love and talent for baking--even a goodie bag at our departure. If I lived closer, I would come more often! There's a game room, binoculars, hot chocolate w mini marshmallows, beautiful sitting areas to enjoy the view throughout the property including the front porch where we hung out after dinner. The restaurant right across the street about a stone's throw away at Charles Street served tapas and seafood w live jazz in a Sat night. We also tried Bugeye Grill another night and they were fantastic too. Never really had to get back in the car as you can walk just a few blocks up to the main part of town w a few shops and restaurants. Right next door is an outdoor salty tiki bar that looks fun when it warms up more. I could go on and on. Oh, and Calvert Cliffs park is only 10 min away by car where you can find shark teeth and fossils, which we did! Soo much better than a hotel or airbnb! read more

A tranquil, well-managed B&B on Solomons Island. This getaway is ideally located on the back bay, with views of the water that are outstanding. Never had to use the car to go anywhere. Solomons' famous pedestrian harbor is within easy walking distance. To me, that sets this place apart. There's great attention to details here; husband & wife innkeepers Steve and Shawn are genuine, competent and congenial hosts. Stayed on the second floor of the carriage house, in Sunset Harbor room. It's a lovely accommodation, with a nice, deep soaking whirlpool tub. A private balcony is icing on the cake. Thoughtfully designed common areas are found in the main house as well as outdoor seating in the gardens and large yard. Canopy landscaping in the gardens creates a micro-cooling climate and makes this spot noticeably refreshing. Breakfast, a plated service, is gourmet and plentiful. read more

Gosh! What a lovely place to stay for a quick get-away! This B&B was a little gem. A place away from home. Shawn and Steve, husband and wife team, did/do a fabulous job of service top notch breakfast and with self serve tea and coffee whenever you want. Their home is warm and very cosy. What a treat to stay there during the holidays season! We arrived, to check-in, to a warmly lit home, smelling of home cooking... then we were me with the wonderful host and hostess. Such a delightful couple and so interesting to chat with. Each room has its own flare, all decorated and kept to the age of the house. Our room faced the bay. Had a massive soaking tub, as well as an en-suite bathroom. We even had a tiny, but functional kitchenette. The king sized bed was very comfortable - two nights just wasn't enough! There were a few bars and restaurants, in walking distance. Can easily leave the island to sightsee during the day...of course there is plenty of fishing, boating and water activities...unfortunately it was too cold for us!! All I can say is that this place has got to be one of Maryland's best places to stay. The best Bed & Breakfast I have ever been to. My beautiful wife and I checked in for a two night stay. The charm of the house was second only to that of the owners. They foster a warm and friendly environment. Our room was very clean and updated with new air conditioning, steam sauna capable showers, and the home is full of little hide away quiet areas for romantic evening. Breakfast served to us each morning on the outside patio which has an amazing view of the harbor. Each meal was home cooked and would definitely rival any restaurant. This is a MUST stay! I cannot say enough about how wonderful and unique the breakfast was - the appetizer a baked apple with cinnamon granola and the main course a unique bread/ham dish along with a pineapple side and poppyseed salad. Our hosts were both entertaining and accommodating in every way. The Victorian Inn really lives up to the name "bed and breakfast" in the most literal manner. We just came back from staying two nights at the Inn, and would highly recommend for a relaxed getaway. We spent the weekend hiking at Calvert Cliffs, going to the beach, and walking around Solomons Island. There's a great front porch to sit on and people watch, as well as a firepit and seating in the garden. The hosts are lovely people who will make you feel very welcome and go out of their way throughout your stay to see if you need anything. We stayed in Narada, a room with a queen size bed (and an amazing carved four-posted bed!), a private bathroom, and a small seating area. The Inn is old (Victorian is in the name, after all) but well maintained and a fun alternative to a chain hotel. The included breakfasts were extensive and delicious. There's parking in the back, and you can easily walk into the town and the boardwalk. We'll be back! read more

Exceeded all expectations. Some of the best breakfasts I've ever had, four mornings in a row. Home-baked scones and muffins to our hearts content, on top of 5-star main courses like eggs benedict, orange-zested french toast, and Italian strata. We couldn't be happier with the stay we just experienced. Owners Judith and Robert were outstanding in their hospitality and the room was comfortable, spacious, clean and well equipped. Our room had a jacuzzi tub, mini fridge and microwave as well as a private en suite bath. Even though it was opening weekend for a bar down the street the soundproofing of the house was enough that I still slept well. Views of the water were gorgeous and I can't wait to come back. I love this bed and breakfast. I took my boyfriend here was a surprise birthday present. We spent 3 nights. Our room was very comfortable and the hostess was wonderful. Breakfast every morning was mouth-watering. They keep freshly baked oatmeal cookies out at all times. They turnover for them is so quick that they're almost always warm when you grab one. The hostess is more than willing to help plan your days on the island with great suggestions for restaurants and places to see. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! read more

I love the Solomons Victorian Inn. The Harbor Sunset room and the Solomons Sunset room are definitely my favorites because of the large jetted tubs! Those two are very spacious and special. The Harbor Sunset feels like a Honeymoon suite and the Solomons Sunset has a cool wood-cabin feel. The location of Solomons Victorian Inn is perfect: it overlooks the water (which provides for some great views from the rooms!) and it is walking distance from the boardwalk and restaurants. I stayed during the summer and the individual-room central A/C was a really welcome addition! I am looking forward to my next trip to Solomons and I have already booked my stay with Solomons Victorian Inn! read more

We had such a relaxing, lovely stay at Solomons Victorian Inn! Shawn and Steve are wonderful hosts and you immediately feel right at home. The three course breakfast is definitely worth climbing out of your comfortable bed for, and the sweet treats are a nice touch and a good way to keep your energy up in the afternoon. I took my husband here for a few nights for his birthday. The island is small, which is just what we wanted, but there are plenty of nearby beaches you can go to. The inn was wonderful and the small touches were greatly appreciated. We arrived to cupcakes in the room for his birthday, an afternoon baked good snack, and delicious homemade breakfast in the morning. The innkeepers are delightful, welcoming, and eager to assist with providing information on the area at any point in time. After many months "quarantined" at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, my wife and I were looking for a quiet weekend away. Knowing how beautiful Solomon's Island, is we decided to try the Solomon's Victorian Inn. To say we weren't disappointed with our choice would be an understatement. From the time Steve and his wife Shawn greeted us as we checked in right through our check out, everything was wonderful. Shawn created awesome breakfasts and baked treats each day that were absolutely delicious. Our room had the old classic charm of a house built in the early 1900's with modern amenities to add to our comfort. Shawn and Steve were also available whenever needed to share some history on the house along with local knowledge on restaurants and places to visit. My husband and I stayed at the inn for his birthday. The inn is much better located than the other BB inns on the island. The house is beautiful and classy, and it comes with a mature and well maintained garden. The inn keepers are quite nice and attentive. Overall we had a good experience. We take off one star for the fact that the window unit in our room was really loud. We had to turn it off in order to sleep. But then the room got really warm and stuffy. We ended up not sleeping well. If you are a light sleeper, I suggest that you think twice before booking a hot summer's night there. (It was quite hot while we were there.) read more
