We recently stayed 2 nights at the Victorian Inn. We have stayed in several Bed & Breakfast in the past. Our experiences in previous B & B's were always pleasant. However, the Victorian Inn exceeded our expectations and our previous experiences, in every way! From the moment you walk in the door on day one, until you leave the Inn on the last day, Chris and Moe are very generous and gracious hosts. The Inn is charming, comfortable, clean, breakfasts are delicious, home made cookies in your suite, as well as, in the evening, Toby (the Inn's beautiful dog) is very inviting and loves attention, to contacting a local historian for our group to learn local and family history and the list goes on and on. We consider Chris and Moe to be life long friends. We can't wait to go back to the Victorian Inn! We highly recommend the Victorian Inn! You will not be disappointed. Enjoy! We had an EXCELLENT stay at the Solomons Victorian Inn. It is ideally located near restaurants and the scenic boardwalk. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. The innkeepers, Moe, Chris, and Toby were so hospitable and you felt like you have been friends forever. And, to top it off the morning breakfasts were absolutely delicious. We will be back for the next time when we want a relaxing get away. read more

Location and Views 5 star Hospitality 5 star Breakfast 5 star Lil details 5 star Comfy bed/room 5 star Totally will come back again as this is our 2nd trip here in a few yrs. Total relaxation with every detail taken care of. First the husband/wife innkeepers Shawn and Steve were amazing and cared so much that we had a wonderful stay. We had my elderly parents w us in their ground floor room called the "Islandscape"and we had one of the main house "Narada" room. The view and location were fantastic. The breakfasts were special 3 course including fresh fruit and something sweet and savory. The baked goods every day by Shawn showed her love and talent for baking--even a goodie bag at our departure. If I lived closer, I would come more often! There's a game room, binoculars, hot chocolate w mini marshmallows, beautiful sitting areas to enjoy the view throughout the property including the front porch where we hung out after dinner. The restaurant right across the street about a stone's throw away at Charles Street served tapas and seafood w live jazz in a Sat night. We also tried Bugeye Grill another night and they were fantastic too. Never really had to get back in the car as you can walk just a few blocks up to the main part of town w a few shops and restaurants. Right next door is an outdoor salty tiki bar that looks fun when it warms up more. I could go on and on. Oh, and Calvert Cliffs park is only 10 min away by car where you can find shark teeth and fossils, which we did! Soo much better than a hotel or airbnb! read more

A tranquil, well-managed B&B on Solomons Island. This getaway is ideally located on the back bay, with views of the water that are outstanding. Never had to use the car to go anywhere. Solomons' famous pedestrian harbor is within easy walking distance. To me, that sets this place apart. There's great attention to details here; husband & wife innkeepers Steve and Shawn are genuine, competent and congenial hosts. Stayed on the second floor of the carriage house, in Sunset Harbor room. It's a lovely accommodation, with a nice, deep soaking whirlpool tub. A private balcony is icing on the cake. Thoughtfully designed common areas are found in the main house as well as outdoor seating in the gardens and large yard. Canopy landscaping in the gardens creates a micro-cooling climate and makes this spot noticeably refreshing. Breakfast, a plated service, is gourmet and plentiful. read more

Family operated business, this place is TIMELESS absolutely breath taking. I come back every just for the nostalgic feeling

This was my last business trip of the year. Steve and Shawn were outstanding hosts! I felt at home and super relaxed even though I was working crazy hours. I wanted to sleep in my last day, but had several meetings scheduled. I was bummed I had to leave. Breakfast was extraordinary. I plan to comeback! read more

Steve and Shawn are wonderful hosts. Our room was very nice with a comfy bed and pillows. Breakfast was awesome. Lovely place to stay.

Gosh! What a lovely place to stay for a quick get-away! This B&B was a little gem. A place away from home. Shawn and Steve, husband and wife team, did/do a fabulous job of service top notch breakfast and with self serve tea and coffee whenever you want. Their home is warm and very cosy. What a treat to stay there during the holidays season! We arrived, to check-in, to a warmly lit home, smelling of home cooking... then we were me with the wonderful host and hostess. Such a delightful couple and so interesting to chat with. Each room has its own flare, all decorated and kept to the age of the house. Our room faced the bay. Had a massive soaking tub, as well as an en-suite bathroom. We even had a tiny, but functional kitchenette. The king sized bed was very comfortable - two nights just wasn't enough! There were a few bars and restaurants, in walking distance. Can easily leave the island to sightsee during the day...of course there is plenty of fishing, boating and water activities...unfortunately it was too cold for us!! We look forward in going back to this charming Bed and Breakfast!! read more

This place is so cute and the couple running it are very kind and super accommodating. It's smack dab in the middle of everything in Solomon's so you can pretty much walk everywhere you need to go. It's nice and quiet and the atmosphere is very laid back. I'll definitely be coming back whenever I need to get away. read more

All I can say is that this place has got to be one of Maryland's best places to stay. The hosts, Stephen and Shawn, are absolutely delightful with a flair for spoiling guests with wonderful breakfasts and fresh baked cookies. The rooms are everything you would look for in a Victorian Inn and the location is the perfect place to unwind and relax. The amenities include a self serve beverage area, towels and sunscreen for the beach, games in the parlor, and all kinds of inviting spaces to spend time outside. Don't miss out on this gem, book now! read more

The best Bed & Breakfast I have ever been to. My beautiful wife and I checked in for a two night stay. The charm of the house was second only to that of the owners. They foster a warm and friendly environment. Our room was very clean and updated with new air conditioning, steam sauna capable showers, and the home is full of little hide away quiet areas for romantic evening. Breakfast served to us each morning on the outside patio which has an amazing view of the harbor. Each meal was home cooked and would definitely rival any restaurant. This is a MUST stay! To the owners, thank you for the wonderful time. We will certainly be back!!! read more

Perfect Weekend I stayed at the Solomons Victorian Inn for the 4th of July weekend. I had a great time. The owners, Steven and Shawn, are the best. The breakfast and afternoon snacks were always a cut above the rest. The house and rooms live up to the Victorian name with updated facilities. :) Many activities are a short walk. Even more are just a short drive a way. read more

We had a wonderful night at Solomons Victorian Inn. Our room was beautifully decorated and included a faux fireplace, jacuzzi tub, plentiful room for lounging, and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. I cannot say enough about how wonderful and unique the breakfast was - the appetizer a baked apple with cinnamon granola and the main course a unique bread/ham dish along with a pineapple side and poppyseed salad. Our hosts were both entertaining and accommodating in every way. The Victorian Inn really lives up to the name "bed and breakfast" in the most literal manner. This was the perfect getaway for my wife and me. read more

We just came back from staying two nights at the Inn, and would highly recommend for a relaxed getaway. We spent the weekend hiking at Calvert Cliffs, going to the beach, and walking around Solomons Island. There's a great front porch to sit on and people watch, as well as a firepit and seating in the garden. The hosts are lovely people who will make you feel very welcome and go out of their way throughout your stay to see if you need anything. We stayed in Narada, a room with a queen size bed (and an amazing carved four-posted bed!), a private bathroom, and a small seating area. The Inn is old (Victorian is in the name, after all) but well maintained and a fun alternative to a chain hotel. The included breakfasts were extensive and delicious. There's parking in the back, and you can easily walk into the town and the boardwalk. We'll be back! read more

My wife and I just returned from two nights at this lovey B&B. Steve and Shawn were outstanding hosts and very attentive to our needs -- plus Shawn's breakfast were delicious! We brought our two dogs with us, and stayed in the Islandscape room in the adjacent cottage, which was perfect for them. The Inn is well-located and everything is in east walking distance. We are planning on returning in June or July. Highly recommended. Ralph Grunewald -- Potomac, MD read more

My husband has food allergies and Shawn & Steve ensured that he was well taken care of as far as breakfast and any treats. We've been raving to all of our friends about this B&B! We'll definitely be back. read more

Exceeded all expectations. Some of the best breakfasts I've ever had, four mornings in a row. Home-baked scones and muffins to our hearts content, on top of 5-star main courses like eggs benedict, orange-zested french toast, and Italian strata. Our hosts Shawn and Steve we incredibly thoughtful and accommodating on top. We stayed here with our two children who kept busy exploring the grounds, playing in the jacuzzi, and eating the scones. It's near some great-looking dining and nightlife options, which were just getting back up and running. read more

I came with 3 girlfriends just looking for a cute relaxing new experience and got exactly that. Steve and Shawn were the sweetest mom and dad away from home, we never felt uncomfortable or out of place. They had good insight on places to go and AMAZING food to serve. I mean really Gordon Ramsey is quaking, Betty Crocker who. Me and one other girl are vegetarian and they were the best about it. We got asparagus in place of ham and they even bought veggie sausage!!! The rooms were cozy, cute, and accommodating. The inns location in the town is great. Everything in town is within walking distance. Can't wait to come back! read more

First time in Solomon's Island and could not have enjoyed our stay more! This place is beautiful and clean! The location is ideal! Steve and Shawn are incredible hosts that go above and beyond to make your stay special. Kudos also to the delicious breakfasts that started each of our days. We couldn't be happier with the stay we just experienced. Owners Judith and Robert were outstanding in their hospitality and the room was comfortable, spacious, clean and well equipped. Our room had a jacuzzi tub, mini fridge and microwave as well as a private en suite bath. Even though it was opening weekend for a bar down the street the soundproofing of the house was enough that I still slept well. Views of the water were gorgeous and I can't wait to come back. I believe I can work to make this a tradition. Thank you for a wonderful stay! read more

I love this bed and breakfast. I took my boyfriend here was a surprise birthday present. We spent 3 nights. Our room was very comfortable and the hostess was wonderful. Breakfast every morning was mouth-watering. They keep freshly baked oatmeal cookies out at all times. They turnover for them is so quick that they're almost always warm when you grab one. The hostess is more than willing to help plan your days on the island with great suggestions for restaurants and places to see. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! read more

I love the Solomons Victorian Inn. The Harbor Sunset room and the Solomons Sunset room are definitely my favorites because of the large jetted tubs! Those two are very spacious and special. The Harbor Sunset feels like a Honeymoon suite and the Solomons Sunset has a cool wood-cabin feel. The location of Solomons Victorian Inn is perfect: it overlooks the water (which provides for some great views from the rooms!) and it is walking distance from the boardwalk and restaurants. I stayed during the summer and the individual-room central A/C was a really welcome addition! After many months "quarantined" at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, my wife and I were looking for a quiet weekend away. Knowing how beautiful Solomon's Island, is we decided to try the Solomon's Victorian Inn. To say we weren't disappointed with our choice would be an understatement. From the time Steve and his wife Shawn greeted us as we checked in right through our check out, everything was wonderful. Shawn created awesome breakfasts and baked treats each day that were absolutely delicious. Our room had the old classic charm of a house built in the early 1900's with modern amenities to add to our comfort. Shawn and Steve were also available whenever needed to share some history on the house along with local knowledge on restaurants and places to visit. My husband and I stayed at the inn for his birthday. The inn is much better located than the other BB inns on the island. The house is beautiful and classy, and it comes with a mature and well maintained garden. The inn keepers are quite nice and attentive. Overall we had a good experience. We take off one star for the fact that the window unit in our room was really loud. We had to turn it off in order to sleep. But then the room got really warm and stuffy. We ended up not sleeping well. If you are a light sleeper, I suggest that you think twice before booking a hot summer's night there. (It was quite hot while we were there.) read more
