This was my last business trip of the year. Steve and Shawn were outstanding hosts! I felt at home and super relaxed even though I was working crazy hours. I wanted to sleep in my last day, but had several meetings scheduled. I was bummed I had to leave. Breakfast was extraordinary. I plan to comeback!

Gosh! What a lovely place to stay for a quick get-away! This B&B was a little gem. A place away from home. Shawn and Steve, husband and wife team, did/do a fabulous job of service top notch breakfast and with self serve tea and coffee whenever you want. Their home is warm and very cosy. What a treat to stay there during the holidays season! We arrived, to check-in, to a warmly lit home, smelling of home cooking... then we were me with the wonderful host and hostess. Such a delightful couple and so interesting to chat with. Each room has its own flare, all decorated and kept to the age of the house. Our room faced the bay. Had a massive soaking tub, as well as an en-suite bathroom. We even had a tiny, but functional kitchenette. The king sized bed was very comfortable - two nights just wasn't enough! There were a few bars and restaurants, in walking distance. Can easily leave the island to sightsee during the day...of course there is plenty of fishing, boating and water activities...unfortunately it was too cold for us!! We look forward in going back to this charming Bed and Breakfast!!

This place is so cute and the couple running it are very kind and super accommodating. It's smack dab in the middle of everything in Solomon's so you can pretty much walk everywhere you need to go. It's nice and quiet and the atmosphere is very laid back. I'll definitely be coming back whenever I need to get away.

The best Bed & Breakfast I have ever been to. My beautiful wife and I checked in for a two night stay. The charm of the house was second only to that of the owners. They foster a warm and friendly environment. Our room was very clean and updated with new air conditioning, steam sauna capable showers, and the home is full of little hide away quiet areas for romantic evening. Breakfast served to us each morning on the outside patio which has an amazing view of the harbor. Each meal was home cooked and would definitely rival any restaurant. This is a MUST stay! To the owners, thank you for the wonderful time. We will certainly be back!!!

We had a wonderful night at Solomons Victorian Inn. Our room was beautifully decorated and included a faux fireplace, jacuzzi tub, plentiful room for lounging, and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. I cannot say enough about how wonderful and unique the breakfast was - the appetizer a baked apple with cinnamon granola and the main course a unique bread/ham dish along with a pineapple side and poppyseed salad. Our hosts were both entertaining and accommodating in every way. The Victorian Inn really lives up to the name "bed and breakfast" in the most literal manner. This was the perfect getaway for my wife and me.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay here! We arrived the evening of our wedding and were welcomed so hospitality. My husband has food allergies and Shawn & Steve ensured that he was well taken care of as far as breakfast and any treats. The rooms were clean and quaint and the location was perfect as it was right by the water and restaurants. I loved that they had recommendations of places to go during our visit. We've been raving to all of our friends about this B&B! We'll definitely be back.

I came with 3 girlfriends just looking for a cute relaxing new experience and got exactly that. Steve and Shawn were the sweetest mom and dad away from home, we never felt uncomfortable or out of place. They had good insight on places to go and AMAZING food to serve. I mean really Gordon Ramsey is quaking, Betty Crocker who. Me and one other girl are vegetarian and they were the best about it. We got asparagus in place of ham and they even bought veggie sausage!!! The rooms were cozy, cute, and accommodating. The inns location in the town is great. Everything in town is within walking distance. Can't wait to come back!

The hotel is supposedly dog friendly and we paid an extra $75 dog fee upon arrival. I called the hotel and spoke to Janine and asked her if we could have a room on the first floor, non allergic pillows and if the dogs were allowed to stay in the room while we went out. The answer was yes. Our dalmation is very well behaved and we have left her for short periods like while we were having dinner. Last year we traveled across the country and never had a problem. So last night the family had a pre graduation dinner on St. George's Island. We were finished around 8:30 and as I was leaving I got a call from the hotel that Freckles was barking. We were on our way back and about an hour away. Then I got another call while we were driving. It took us an hour to get back and I apologized. I never want to upset other patrons at a hotel. By the way, the room was on the third floor, not the first as we asked for. So we were not allowed to leave Freckles today and I missed the graduation. I was broken hearted bc we had just traveled two days to get here. The night before we were in a La Quinta Inn in Selma, North Carolina. This hotel was loaded with dogs and they barked on and off but no problem. So maybe this Hilton Inn should advertise "bark-less dogs". Or at lat least put them in an area where they wouldn't bother anyone. We're spending another night here because we already paid for the room. Freckles will come with us everywhere. Fortunately there are many restaurants with patio seating. Unfortunately we couldn't bring her to graduation- my loss. PS. The staff and breakfasts were excellent! They even let us bring Freckles to the other side of the lobby so we could have breakfast. They brought the food to us! Thank You!

After a very pleasant check in, we got our travel bags into our room, which was very clean and comfy. We had a brief visit to the hotel bar, where we received a very good recommendation for a breakfast spot the next morning. After breakfast, we hit the pool area. We had sunscreen, water and snacks. The pool area was very clean and members of the staff came out periodically to check the water, clean out debris, etc. They even asked if we needed some bottles of water! Everyone we came in contact with at this hotel was wonderful. We definitely will come back when we need a little vacation from home.

It didn't have to be anywhere extravagant, just somewhere that I wouldn't have the every day creeping in. I booked just a mere two days in advance via third party. From the reviews on that site and the overall look of the pictures made it seem like an ideal place to spend a night. That is until I was near it and my heart nearly dropped out of my chest. When I initially rolled by I couldn't believe my eyes. From the outside this place looks closed. As I approached the lot all signs saying "Country Inn & Suites" had been removed from the building and pole from outside. Not only that, but there were containers in the lot, old furniture from the rooms, and building materials. The time that I arrived, there weren't many vehicles in the lot either making it look like a skeleton crew was working on the building. I pulled in, drove around the building once and parked because of confusion. The building was obviously in the middle of remodel or repair. As I stated earlier the signs were removed, all the covering for the air units removed, and various shades of paint on the outer walls. It really makes you think, "Is this place even open?" I drove back around to the front and heading to the door. I was half expecting that they wouldn't open, but they did. I walked in and the many boxes of building materials continue into the lobby area. The lobby desk wasn't manned at that time and it still gave off that vibe that they weren't open. Eventually someone came along and asked if they could help me. "Yes, are you guys open?" She reassured me that they were indeed open, just in the midst of a rename/remodel/rebrand. As I opened this review I said that I would probably be the last person to review this spot before the change. She had informed me that this location was leaving the Choice Brands and moving to Hilton Brands. No idea if when they will be finished with all this, but what I do know is that this is very much needed. It was around noon when all this transpired. After being reassured that they were indeed open the lady asked me if I wanted to check in. I knew it was too early, but she was able to get me in. Why not? I made my way through the process and soon had a key in hand. I moved my vehicle and made it to my room. I can see why they are in the midst of a rebrand/remodel. The room was definitely not up to standards. You don't see it at first, but once you get into the room and settled you start to notice things. Once you think you've seen them all, more just pop up. The first thing I noticed was the long stain on the carpeting. It was really noticeable since it was darker than the rest of the carpet. The next thing I noticed were the curtains, there were holes in them and even when closed, light gets in the room. Those were the only things I noticed at first. I then decided to sit in the chair in the room and try to take a very little nap...that is until the noise of the remodel started. They must of been replacing the floor upstairs. At that, I took it as a cue to get out of the hotel for a bit. There are a few pluses here. The room came with a fridge and a microwave. Great if you wanted a little in room treat. Breakfast is served every morning. And ample parking. That's about where they stop, for now at least. When I returned back for the night I noticed that no matter what I did for the air in the room, it never was comfortable. It was freezing for the most part until I jacked it up to 80. Then it was overly hot. What was the culprit here? The windows, who would have thought. This is one of the few hotels that actually have windows that open. I checked those and notice that both of them were unlocked and cracked. Once those were corrected the temperature evened out and the noise from outside really dropped. This room was also really outdated. No USB ports for charging and minimal outlets nearby. Unless you are alright with your items being across the room for charging. Then there is the WiFi, shoddy at best. Each time I wanted to use it I had to resign in. It was a bit annoying. Then, just as I was getting ready to fall asleep, I saw a flash in my room. The light in the small hallway into the room, the light we all use as a nightlight, burnt out. Scared the crap out of me at first. Hopefully once the rebrand is completed this will feel brand new. At least everything they have to offer will be open for use. Including the pool and gym.

Opened in 2009, the hotel feels much older with bedding and furnishings that have certainly seen their share of keggers and bachelor party mayhem. While I can certainly understand a few dings and chips, the bathroom vanity sports toothpaste splatter that housekeeping clearly thinks adds spice to the dismal popcorn ceiling, beige surroundings. For the love of god, break out a rag. Although the fig leaf sized bath towel was both frustrating and amusing. If the rooms matched the sparkle of the public areas (lobby and indoor pool) this hotel would be a constant sell-out. Next time we're shut out of our usual haunts I may just have to re-book and bring a keg. One can only hope. Three beige stars. Note: Contrary to the Yelp listing the hotel is adjacent to the Patuxent Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD not Andrews Air Base.

The place was in need of a face lift, and for the amount of stress they're likely under, they're doing their best. Rooms were scrupulously clean. Linens smelled fresh, and were gleaming white. Beds had usb outlets next to them. Plenty of lighting options allowed you to customise your mood as you wish. A/c unit can not be controlled by the controls on the wall. Instead, you need to go up to the unit low to the ground to control it. No sign to inform you of this. TV doesn't have any streaming services. Only the basic channels found on a list opposite to the night stand that had the tv remote. Alarm clock showed the wrong time. Regardless of what floor you're going to, the elevator will stop on every floor. Also, there is only one elevator in the entire building, so heaven help you if you're relegated to a room on the far edges of the property, and aren't adept at walking. Also, you need to press and hold the button to call the elevator or to get it to go go your floor. Hot breakfast is included in your room price. Includes bread, thin bagels, 2 kinds of muffins, cereal, milk, juice, coffee, tea, biscuits, gravy, some kind of meat patty, sweetened yoghurt, and some other stuff. When the food is finished, it's replenished quickly until breakfast time is over. Breakfast is 6 am - 9 am on weekdays, and 7 - 10 am on weekends. People staying in the hotel are usually here for long term stay rather than short stays like I was doing. This meant that pretty much everyone we met was extremely friendly, and happy to chat with you to commiserate about the overall jank of the place. I made some friends that I'd see often when stepping out for a smoke or something. You're a very short walk from several restaurants, liquor stores, a Walmart, and next door to a Mexican restaurant that will offer you a 10% discount if you show your keycard when ordering. As was the case with everyone I met in town, staff at the local places are extremely friendly and seem to be trying to make their job as fun as they can make it while still keeping professional. Were I planning on seating for more than a few hours a night to sleep, this stay would have been bad enough to cut my visit short. I'm trying to give as many allowances as I can. Our desk check in folk told us our room had been renovated recently. It still looked overall janky. The closet space is tiny. I had space enough to hang up a couple of coats, a couple of suits, and a few T-shirts. The phone does not call the front desk. You have to make a hike down to get anything done. The ice machine was on the 1st floor only. Other ones were out of order. The pool area and other outdoor spaces looked wrecked and stayed that way. Breakfast area was under renovation, so the breakfast was served in the conference room. Ok, that's fine. But instead of having the place set up nicely, there were piles of boxes with supplies piled in one end of the room. There is coin operated laundry on premises, but no dry cleaning services on premises. When asking front desk if there is one nearby, desk agent told me to look it up myself. My main frustration is that this place has a ton of potential to be a cool little experience. The longer term guests are really friendly, and make the experience fun. The location is central to so much. The rooms are decent sized, but laid out in a dumb way. Communal spaces are there, but kept up so shoddily. It's all just sad and tired looking, and the customer facing staff are just over it all. They all do their job, and a couple are even friendly enough, but they're all feeling like every day is so long and please gods get me out of here.
