While the event space itself is beautiful, my experience with the staff and catering was extremely disappointing. From start to finish, the event staff were unprofessional and rude to my guests. Several guests were told they could only have one plate despite us paying for an open buffet, which caused embarrassment. One catering staff member even pushed my mother and maintained a negative attitude throughout the event. I also became ill after eating the turkey meatballs we ordered. I do not eat beef, yet the food appeared to contain beef, causing severe stomach discomfort for me. Interestingly, my guests did not have any issues, which suggests there may have been a mistake in the preparation. I brought these concerns to the attention of the event coordinator, who I believe is the owner, Carla, but the staff's behavior was excused rather than addressed. Unfortunately, despite the beautiful space, I cannot recommend Grace Event Center due to the unprofessionalism of the staff and catering issues. I would suggest considering other venues to avoid a similar experience.

The entire Staff was very friendly, courteous and hospitable. The food was delicious, seasoned to taste, and we all had plenty to eat! Crab &Swiss cheese omelette, roasted Yukon potato, turkey bacon, country sausage, the bread basket had lavish varieties and customed as well towards my girl who has celiac disease with gluten free options, Room tempered butter, I think even the raspberry marmalade was homemade, fresh berries...I mean nothing was missing and it was put together with such care. She has seen weddings, receptions, birthdays, proms, quenceneras, baby showers, bridal showers, engagement announcements, rehearsals, bridal shows, retirement parties, dinner parties, public and private Teas, Holiday parties, business meetings, celebrations of life, fund raising events and even political rallies.The house was originally built in 1770 by William Walthall and passed down to his daughters, Polly and Susannah (our purported ghost), then sold to a Doctor Anderson who extended the front of the house in the 1830s. Later, he sold it to a Doctor Friend who resided there when she would serve as a civil war hospital. Sold again, yet to another doctor, Dr. Thomas Cheatham, the house grew again to form a “T” shaped structure. After his death, the home would fall into severe disrepair only to be restored in the 1930s and named Wrexham. The Hague family lived there and maintained what became a “mansion” in the 1960s when it was added to once again. The new addition begged for an upgraded name, which is the now, Wrexham Hall. Sold to Judge Gates in the 1970s, he would sell it and have it moved to its current location. The last addition was made by the Brennan family, an event room that would serve many for years to come. What truly sets the Water View Inn apart, though, is the atmosphere and hospitality. The owners were warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to have guests, which created a relaxed and inviting vibe throughout the evening. Add to that an absolutely stunning sunset view, and it made for a truly memorable experience. The property offers so much more than just a great meal. The biggest turn off is when I ordered a margarita with a salted rim and was brought a strawberry daiquiri with a sugar rim in a large water glass. (But we wasn't served water and lemonade in a glass ). She tried to convince me it was a margarita and it's the glassware they use for drinks. It wasn't my first margarita and I knew better. I would go so far as to say they're the best crab balls I've ever had. (Have you ever had a crab cake where it was mostly cake filler and they skimp on the crab?) These were crammed with crab meat. When the crab balls were picked up, they were carefully packaged in a nice catering box with styrofoam and the instructions written on the top of the pan "Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes" was so helpful! She also included tongs for the crab and 2 generous containers of cocktail sauce with spoons. These attention to details meant a lot! I wouldn't have even thought to serve the crab with anything else. We're so incredibly pleased we chose Quality Street! A side note, Jen was very communicative via email and the price quoted was exactly what we were charged the day of pick up. Thank you, Jen and Quality Street!! We will definitely use them again for our next catered event.
