The auxiliary connection in my car stopped working. I called to set up an appointment but received a voicemail so I left a message. Within minutes I received a call from Larry informing me that the shop was closed but he wanted to see if he could walk me through my issue via phone. After answering a few questions to give Larry some context with my issue he thought the problem might be with the auxiliary cables themselves. He suggested that a buy a new set and see if that fixes the problem. I made my way to a best buy bought new cables and problem was solved. I saw all the good reviews on yelp so I thought I should definitely go here and and get my cars ready for winter. I called this evening inquiring about the price of a remote starter installation for my 2 cars. The man on the other line very unprofessional and did not even state the name of the business I called. In fact I had to ask if I was reaching Solomon's Finest. After I stated the reason for my call, he asked very rudely what I was talking about as if he was bothered of the fact I even called. I couldn't believe what was coming out of this guy's mouth! I was very upset said a few things and hung up in disbelief. And that's not all. According to yelp they close at 6pm during the week. Well at 6:10 this # calls my phone. Rings twice then they hung up. I thought nothing of it. 3 minutes go by, and another call from him again. This time I answer hello? To which the same rude man I spoke with earlier and says "I need to speak with Leo". I asked I'm sorry who? He screams in my ear and says LEO!!! I told him he has the wrong # and he stays silent and then the call ends. What a creep! Not only did he prove all these nice reviews wrong and lose my business, but he's now harassing me! Had Larry come to my home to install a remote starter for my fiancé's car. That to me was a refreshing switch on the process for getting work done on a car never had anyone offer to come to my home and install anything into a car usually make an appointment and take the car to them. Larry had originally set my appointment for 3pm but called me to let me know that he could be earlier and showed up around 1pm. Larry was very good and did not take long at all. I am a major audiophile so I know good products and prices. Larry's prices are extremely fair. I purchased an in dash GPS unit from best buy and took it to Solomon's finest to have it installed. Larry fully installed the unit just to find out that the unit was locked. He got on the phone and talked to Best Buy's audio department for 20 minutes. When they couldn't figure it out, he called Pioneer's technical service department (another 15 minutes). When pioneer said they would have to have it sent back to them to figure it out, I told him to uninstall it so I could take it back to Best Buy for a refund. Not only did he uninstall the unit, but he reinstalled the old unit BETTER than it was originally installed. he ran the Bluetooth mic through the headliner and he installed the radio with a more flush look. He also installed an amp for the interior speakers and a sub/amp for the trunk. after all the work of installing and uninstalling the GPS head unit, I WENT TO PICK UP MY CAR AND HE CHARGED ME LESS THAN THE PRICE HE QUOTED ME!! On top of that, he turned on the radio and did a demo of how he calibrated the new amps and sub to perform at their maximum with my old radio. Just when I thought I was about the happiest guy on the planet, he took me into his shop and showed me a truck that he'd just finished a GPS install on. The GPS he had in this truck was exactly what I'd been shopping for with no luck. I'm glad best buy sold me a bad unit because now I have my eye on the unit he showed me. This was the biggest kicker: after he could see I was super excited about the GPS head unit he showed me, he didn't try to sell me one!!! he simply said "if you like it and buy one, call me back and I will install it for you." WHAT KINDA GENTLEMEN DOES THAT!?! Larry's professionalism and simple courtesy to me as a customer has earned my business from here on. Guys, no matter where you've been taking your vehicles for audio upgrades or remote starters, I'd seriously suggest you stop looking around and calling places for quotes.
