Long story short, someone keyed my car and damaged my door lock a couple of years ago. I made the claim right away but then procrastinated on following through with the repairs (for which there is a 2-year time limit if you want it covered by your insurance). I figured I'd have all the time in the world to get it done but then suffered a health condition that took me out for the months leading up to my 2-year deadline. So there's me, trying to find an auto body shop that would take my car in for repair on less than a week's notice. I initially didn't realize how ridiculous of a request that was until I spoke to my insurance provider and then called a large number of other auto body shops. Turns out they all have a 6-week waiting list right now. I literally got laughed at when I called some auto body shops to ask if they could take me right away. But Boyd Autobody Richmond was sympathetic to my situation and agreed to take my car right away, despite how busy they are. I was already on cloud 9 and so incredibly grateful when I went in to pick up my car. But little did I know, they still had one surprise left for me. After paying my deductible and getting my keys, I walked out to my car to examine their work. It was perfect. I then jumped in my car, prepared to drive off, when I looked around and saw that my car was immaculately clean. I was shocked. To put this into perspective, my car has not been that clean in years. I have two huskies, both of which shed like you wouldn't believe and love to run through mud, as well as the sand at the beach after getting wet. And then they get in my car. I literally gave up on trying to keep my car clean years ago. And I'm pretty sure there was close to an inch of husky hair than had accumulated on the floor of my back seats, which I tended to ignore because I have a little 2-door BMW so it was hard to get to that area and I never really had to see it anyway. So let's just say, I was convinced my car would never be clean again unless I paid at least $500 for a professional to detail it. I in no way expected Boyd Autobody to clean the inside of my car like that...and BMW certainly doesn't do it whenever I've taken my car in for servicing (not that I can blame them, lol). But Boyd Autobody Richmond went above and beyond on that front. I don't even want to know how many hours it took the poor guy assigned that task to complete it. I was so impressed and grateful that I ran back inside and asked if I could give the guy who cleaned my car a tip. But they, with a smile, said no, it's all good, and they would pass along my thanks. I am never taking my car to another auto body shop again.

I took my car to reaper two years ago to have window tinting and a level one paint correction with…read morea five year ceramic pro coating done, from the wheels to the tippy top of the car. Their pricing was competitive and their scheduling made it an easy choice. After taking the car home, waiting the prescribed two week curing period, I two bucket washed my car to discover the wheels, and the whole roof had been missed by the ceramic. Water beaded everywhere except those spots. I contracted reaper only to be told I wasn't washing the car correctly! I use two buckets and chemical guys product. So I sent them pictures, again, it was my fault. For weeks after that my front passenger window tint began to peel off at the bottom as it was cut incorrectly. Once again, contact was made, to be told, you guessed it, it was my fault. I then took my tint issue to Eclipse Tinting (Fabulous) and my ceramic problem to Diamond Shine (Fabulous). Diamond shine now does tinting too, Karan, you're the man! Fast forward TWO years, I get contacted by Reaper about my previous issue. Words were exchanged and an offer was made. Here's where Reaper really shone. However it happened, my experience was lost in their system for two years, but when they found it, Jas, you are also, THE MAN, sent me a text. He listened, he was sympathetic and understanding and was authorized to offer me a level two paint with a ceramic pro coating, on any of my five cars, to make amends. Reaper acted like a company who cares about their service and cares about the satisfaction of their customer. I believe they really do, their actions proved it to me. I want to say thank you to Nimar and Jas for their integrity and their level of professionalism. You guys are what other companies should look to for a template. It was a pleasure interacting with these fellas, and I would recommend these guys if for just one reason, their stand up integrity and customer service.
