There is nothing "Solid" about my "Edges" (See pics) Because of the mostly great reviews, I decided to drop off my 2010 Toyota Tundra. After waiting two days to roll down the windows, I was very disappointed in the quality of work. After close inspection most of the edges were poorly cut and uneven. I actually trimmed a couple windows myself with a razor to achieve a straight edge. My two rear door windows have curved-cuts in right-angle corners, which is just bizarre. Marcos is a very nice guy but the work is marginal at best. If you want a professional tint job, see the guy Al & Eds use at La Cienega and SMB. I've had a few cars tinted there in the past and the work was perfect. I should have went back there instead of giving Solid Edge a try. I'll be having it re-tinted. read more

I've had 7 cars tinted by Solid Edge and it's been great every time. The one time something was wrong they fixed it right away. They also powder coated my wheels. It also helps that the owner, Marcos, is f*ing HOT! Great pricing. read more

Tells you that the price of your car will be "extremely reasonable" to tint, but that he won't be able to say the exact cost until it's done, and then charges you astronomically. Tells you that your car shouldn't take too long to tint, and then takes all day. If you want to waste your time and your money, then the work is pretty well done. But if you value either of those things, find somewhere else. read more

Marcos is a nice and cool owner. Reasonably priced for quality work. Efficient on time. Good job! Thanks! read more

I heard from a friend about Marcos at Solid Edge. She said he was excellent and his prices are reasonable. I had gotten a tint ticket a while back, and just didn't have the time or patience to look for a place to put tint back on my front two windows. Also, I didn't want to go back to the original place I went to because my tint has a reddish color, which I really don't like. I am fair skinned and get freckles really easy and I wanted something to block out the sun. This guy knows what he's talking about. He suggested ceramic film. It was a little more expensive, but man was it worth it! No freckles AND my car is actually cooler. Not only is Marcos really good at what he does, but he is a really nice person to talk to. (And on top of that, he's incredibly good looking!) Not only does he do cars, but he also does houses and businesses. I didn't realize how much work you can do as a window tinter. I suggest Marcos to all my friends and none of them have been disappointed with his work. read more

Marcos has one of the most professional window tinting shops in Los Angeles. He owns his business and does the work himself, which speaks for itself in the quality of the tint and work performed. I had the opportunity to hang out with him while he was applying tint on a brand new VW and saw for myself just how amazingly patient and talented he is. He goes out of his way to make sure the job is done right and watching him work really assured me that he cares about each and every vehicle that comes into his shop. He tinted my Prelude a year ago and I brought him my 2012 Scion today, I won't trust anyone else to do it. Honest, friendly, professional, prices are completely reasonable and the work is excellent. Other shops claim to have a lifetime warranty but few stay in business long enough to honor that warranty. With the clientele he has, Marcos isn't going anywhere, anytime soon. Thanks for the great work and thanks for being awesome :) read more

Marcos did an amazing job and really takes pride in his work. I watched him install the tints from start to finish and would definitely recommend my friends to him as well. He also has a special technique for windows that have raised dots, as my 335 does. I'll be going to back to him for all my future cars. read more

Marcos does excellent work. He did go over his time estimate, but this isn't something you want rushed. Also, the tint on the front windows of my car was too dark initially, so he re-tinted them for free. Good guy. Good work. He even has a discount on his website. What more could you want? read more

Found solid edge online in a puddle of the million window tinting places around Hollywood. Referred to yelp / availability with my schedule and took a chance, worked out great! Marcos was a real cool guy and did fantastic work for a great price. I'm very happy with the way it all came out, there are no dusk specs or imperfections, everything is flawless. Also, was very pleased to make an appointment Wednesday for that Saturday morning. The job itself took about an hour longer than expected but that was no big deal as there was a lot of options for lunch nearby. For the quality of work done, I was very happy waiting the extra hour. read more

They do a great job, I've only had my windows tinted for a few weeks but so far so good. No bubbles, very clean work. They take a tad longer then they quote you, but with the pro work. Enjoy a coffee and chill. Def. recommend Marcos and co. read more

4 cars and counting, I refer everyone to him. Great shop, quick work, quality materials.

I brought my second car in for Marcos to tint because he is pretty amazing at what he does..great price, fantastic job, highly recommended!!

I've been looking for a place to tint both of my cars and I came across Solid Edge. Marcos was very helpful over the phone and even better in person! Very professional and friendly, he knew exactly what I wanted and made some great suggestions too. I am very happy with the work, he tinted both my Jeep Grand Cherokee and my Infiniti G37 Convertible. I couldn't be happier with the service and quality of work that was done. I would recommend this business to anyone looking to tint a car or any other kind of window! read more

Marcos the owner is amazing. He does everything himself, no hired hands. I went to him with my new 2010 Prius, and he calmly talked through all the different options. My car looks fantastic. There was a small flaw on one of the windows and, without any fuss, he told me to come back immediately and re-did the window. He is super smart, very talented, fast, attentive to detail, extremely knowledgeable, and very reasonably priced. I STRONGLY recommend. read more

I have been a luxury car lover and owner for 25 years plus Just got a 09 Mercedes 550 SL and wanted to do a little customizing A close friend suggested Marcos at Solid Edge Wow! Great work, fair pricing and a what can I do for you attitude. In a city like L A where there are so many fine and beautiful automobiles, mine now stands out in a very subtle, very cool, very stylish way. Not over the top but oh so classy and sexy Thanks Marco! read more

Just had my 4th car tinted by Marcos. Great guy, excellent work. He finished in less time than he quoted me, and the price for the work has never changed since I've been going. The new location is awesome, and well deserved. Thanks again Marcos for an awesome experience. read more

Horrible experience. Marcos does not stand by his product at all. He did my store windows and promised that they were UV protected and all of our product faded horribly. When I called him, he refused to come fix the problem, and rather told me that he'd send me a new quote. Crazy read more

I wouldn't go anywhere else after having my windows tinted here for the first time. Fast, clean, and professional job

I made an appointment. to have tint put on the windows of my Mercedes. As I intended to wait there during the process, I was pleased to see that the facility was new and very comfortable. I chose Solid Edge because; #1- it was directly across from my wonderful mechanic; #2- it offered a lifetime guarantee; #3- I like to support my local businesses. Marco, the owner, gave a very professional consultation. Finally, he warned me that tint would make it difficult to see through the windows at night. At first I said no worry as I rarely drove after dark. Then I realized that the time change causes it to be dark by the time I leave work. The tint will make driving on freeways even more perilous for me. He understood completely when I decided against getting the service. As a 71 year old female I was grateful that the owner put my safety before commerce. Marco is an ethical businessman. I will go to him for any glass problems I may have in the future. I suggest anyone in need of glass service use this business. You will get prompt and honest service. read more
