There is nothing "Solid" about my "Edges" (See pics)…read more Because of the mostly great reviews, I decided to drop off my 2010 Toyota Tundra. After waiting two days to roll down the windows, I was very disappointed in the quality of work. After close inspection most of the edges were poorly cut and uneven. I actually trimmed a couple windows myself with a razor to achieve a straight edge. My two rear door windows have curved-cuts in right-angle corners, which is just bizarre. Marcos is a very nice guy but the work is marginal at best. If you want a professional tint job, see the guy Al & Eds use at La Cienega and SMB. I've had a few cars tinted there in the past and the work was perfect. I should have went back there instead of giving Solid Edge a try. I'll be having it re-tinted.

A most wonderful approach to customer service. I brought it in the next day, of course later than I said due to my schedule and Art was very nice and super cool, he even let me borrow a tool to take care of something on my vehicle while they finished up the other clients vehicle. Javier picked up the phone the first time I called, quoted me on installing a new screen radio I bought on Amazon for my old 98 Rav4 (I wanted Apple Car Play), and the very next day I stopped by and I was in and out in less than an hour... The price was super reasonable and what they quoted me was what they charged me (which speaks volumes because being a female, car shops etc tend to claim the work took longer for whatever reason to try charging me more). The labor was impeccable and they even helped me set up my phone with the bluetooth and showed me how to use the radio. Plus, it feels great to support a local small business that takes pride in providing great service. Just overall good people. I highly recommend them!

I created a Yelp project to gather quotes for dash cam installation. I received a wide range of…read moreestimates--some quite high. A few shops offered hardwiring installation, but that seemed expensive and unnecessary for my setup. I simply wanted someone to install a dash cam I had purchased on Amazon. Using Yelp's search feature, I looked for local shops and came across Emily's Tinting Stereo, which happened to be very close to home. I called the day before to confirm their hours, and the gentleman on the phone told me to come in at 9 a.m. when they opened. I arrived 10 minutes early, and to my surprise, the shop was already open--always a good sign when a business is ready ahead of schedule. I was greeted by a friendly old-school rocker-type guy who was eager to help. I showed him the dash cam and he gave both it and my vehicle a quick inspection. He confirmed he could install it properly. We agreed on a fair price, and he quoted an estimated time of one to two hours to ensure everything was installed smoothly. I walked home--about a 30-minute walk--and by the time I arrived, the rocker dude called to let me know the job was already done, which was a pleasant surprise. My wife gave me a ride back, and I picked up the car. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the installation and the speed of service. However, I do have a couple of points of constructive feedback: 1. Payment: When I went to pay with a card, the agreed-upon price increased by about $10. While not a dealbreaker, it would've been nice to know that ahead of time. 2. Yelp Discount: I asked about the 10% Yelp discount advertised on their page, but was told it couldn't be honored because the boss wasn't on-site. Again, not a big issue for me, but future customers should be aware the discount might not always be available. 3. Interior Care: My vehicle has a high-gloss center console that scratches easily. When I got it back, I noticed some scuffs where parts had been placed during the install. I understand this kind of thing can happen, especially with poorly designed interiors, but I'd recommend a bit more care in the future to avoid avoidable damage. That said, I still had a good experience. The job was done quickly, pricing was fair, and the dash cam works perfectly. I appreciate the professionalism and overall service--and would consider returning in the future.
