I have owned Vionic, Sofft, Ecco, New Balance, Asics, etc. and every pair I own gives me calluses, is too tight, or make my feet hurt. I have gotten orthotics in the past too. I received a coupon in the mail so decided to check them out. Upon arrival, I was acknowledged and greeted by an associate and he said to let him know if I needed assistance. Unfortunately, owning comfort shoes typically means you sacrifice style. The selection is more suitable for mature or conservative clientele. The associate informed me they will carry more stylish shoes in the fall. I may return, but am not hopeful I will find anything stylish and comfortable given my past history with shoes in general.

With that said, Tavis somehow went above and beyond all of those experiences this weekend. I felt so awful asking him repeatedly to go hunting for a specific pair of shoes that I wanted but he did it without even an inkling of frustration. When it turned out that they didn't have exactly what I was looking for, he went hunting for it as different stores until they were found. While we waited, we chatted about how much he enjoyed working at Merrell's Outlet Store and how they treated their employees well. He was an absolute pleasure to interact with and I will be looking for him the next time I swing through. Oh yeah...their Jungle Mocs are literally the world's most comfortable shoe and the sales they have on apparel are amazing!

My mood was changed walking around in amazement from the sight of the store and lack of selection.

Of course,…read morethe order wasn't where it was supposed to be and while they looked for the Crocs, my grandson spotted some Lego Jibbitz on a display with a 25% off notice for all the Jibbitz. I picked up the ones he wanted but they rang up for full price. I was told by the manager Jasmin that the ones selected did not qualify. When asked why they were there, she said she was told that "all Croc Jibbitz" were to be added to the display and refused to honor the advertised discounted price. At minimum that action was totally deceptive and more likely illegal as she refused to honor the published price. When you call either DSW customer service or the corporate office, all you get is Nova, their virtual assistant, who is long on platitudes and provides no service. Called the state AG office and will be filing a formal complaint.
