We haven't been here for a year but Solbar was still a fantastic weekend brunch spot as we remembered. We came on a Sunday at 12:45 and the place was packed. Be sure to make a reservation in advance like we did! Food was stellar - highlights included the steak and eggs, shrimp lettuce wraps and donuts! Service was also accommodating. Great vibes here on their gorgeous patio. Overall a wonderful time!

Outdoor seating on such a gorgeous day.

Everything was fantastic. Chris was a phenomenal server and the manager, Victor I believe, made great recommendations for wineries to visit. The attentiveness, kindness, professionalism, and just overall promptness was such a positive experience. The ambiance was amazing. Shaded outdoor seating, one of the best burgers (Wagyu) I've had. The corn soup...TO DIE FOR. I will be coming back whenever I am back in the Napa area.

This place is such an upscale vibe. The views with the mountains in the back are amazing! We didn't stay at the resort we only came for the brunch. Would love to be able to afford staying here it seems like a nice place for a girls trip! Food and service were great! Love that they have a mocktail menu. Would definitely come back and maybe try the pico bar or rent a cabana for the day.

What an absolutely wonderful experience we had for lunch! Our waitress Elizabeth was absolutely fantastic. Everything from the ambience, food presentation, and decor all made us feel like we were at a really special place. Our group of 4 got - truffle fries - wagyu Reuben - seared ahi tuna burger (the favorite of the group!) - shrimp po boy - fish tacos Everything was so beyond delicious. Opt for the fish tacos if you want a lighter meal. Get the Wagyu Reuben if you're looking for something a little heartier.

Cozy and vibey restaurant inside the Solage hotel. I was visiting on a Wednesday for lunch and I loved how there was plenty of parking and the restaurant was super easy to find. It was bit overcast so I was offered a seat by the fireplace! I ordered a sparkling water and the rose crush cocktail, very refreshing and not too sweet. I ordered the wagu cheeseburger with truffle fries and it was juicy and the bun was perfectly buttered and toasted. The fries were the perfect size and came with this yummy lemon aioli...for dessert I had the apple tart that was topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream... the pastry was flaky and the apples were tender and went so good with the ice cream! The serving was amazing and they were attentive just enough! After my meal I found a spot near the restaurant with a fireplace and just lounged around and relaxed. It was the perfect lunch spot, I was told I have to come back and try picobar at the pool!

The Staff was friendly and welcoming. Food came out pretty quick. Cocktails were okay--we should've just gotten a bottle of wine. The fries were good. I don't understand wagyu burgers. Crudo was tasty but small portion.

I absolutely loved my 50th birthday breakfast at Solbar before indulging in the Calistoga mud bath experience! Five stars, hands down. Easy reservation, great property and grounds, and lovely ambiance at the restaurant. I checked the menu ahead of time and really wanted both the duck confit benedict and lemon ricotta pancakes, so I told Chris, the server, about that and asked to check if they can do half the pancake order. Little did I know that Chris already had something special cooking - he brought out the little lemon ricotta pancake with blueberry sauce, real maple syrup and a birthday-engraved chocolate piece in addition to my duck confit! Delightful! Very impressed and grateful, definitely recommend this Michelin-star experience and will come back for dinner!

AMAZING! Ambiance of the hotel/restaurant is beautiful. We did not stay here, but will plan on coming back and making a weekend out of it. The service was impeccable, our entire brunch experience was about an hour long from start to finish. Did not feel rushed, but everything came out prompt which I appreciate. The food was near perfect. It was beyond my expectations.

This short rib plate was heavenly.

We had one of the best meals of our lives at the Solbar restaurant tonight. Every time we visit, the food seems to be getting even better. They definitely deserve their Michelin recognition. Tonight we tried the butter lettuce salad - heavenly dressing, Parker house rolls- absolutely delicious, pork schnitzel and a short rib plate. Every bite was delicious, uniquely flavored and elevated to the next level. The service was simply outstanding. This place is by far one of our favorite restaurants in Calistoga.

Checked in at the pop up inside of Solbar.

'solhouse x fly by jing' pop up restaurant inside Solbar was incredible. Service was warm and friendly. Decor was special. Presentation, taste, texture, etc. and cocktails were fantastic. All the way down to the handmade fortune cookies at the end, every detail was carefully planned. Thank uo

The venue and the the food at Solbar at Auberge Solage is pretty fantastic. For some reason on this relatively quiet Monday evening it took 10 minutes for the staff to say hello and bring us water after being seated. Once they finally said hello, all went well. The food is incredible. The short rib was melt in your mouth yummy. The chicken "nuggets" were moist and delicious. Dessert was house made with the S'More being extra good.

Amazing food! No kidding, this place deserves all the praise! Unfortunately we didn't make the breakfast menu like we planned but I'm happy we waited a few minutes for their lunch hour. We started with the artichoke dip with the bread, and we both had salads with their grilled chicken. The bread melted in your mouth! Delicious! We ended up splitting a dessert even though it was lunch hour, lol! It was some type of lemon cake, it was so soft and flavorful. It reminded me a bit like a strawberry shortcake. If you are in there area treat yourself to SolBar. Note that it is located inside of a resort & spa. We were staying nearby at another spa and walked over. It's a little bit off the regular path but it's not a bad walk, took us about 16 minutes.

What a charming, sweet place this is! The grounds are exceptional and so lovely. We had dinner here after visiting Sterling Vineyard celebrating birthdays. Loved the ambiance and the outdoor seating area, overlooking the pool, very clean place, friendly hosts and servers. We had a wonderful experience here and will definitely have to come back again when I'm in the area.

Do they serve gluten-free pancakes or gluten-free waffles for breakfast?

Is dinner service by course?

Last time we went it's as order what you want off the menu. But you should cal to be sure. Note - not cheap is an understatement!

Is it better to sit inside or outside for dinner?

I prefer outside except for rainy cold months. Outside is beautifully designed and lit and heaters are available. We always reserve for dinner so if you’re still able to telephone for reservations you can discuss options. Food is always excellent.

What is the dress code?

Really anything you want. The valley is casual. A lot of women wear sundresses, but if you go in jeans, no one would care.

Are they open for dinner on Wednesdays? And if so, until what time?

Are walk ins ok or just reservations?

We often walk in for lunch or brunch. I haven't tried dinner. They definitely sell out, so walking in is not a guaranteed table. Also, they often block Open Table to make sure there is room for hotel guests, so you have to call to get a reservation… Read more

Is the patio dog friendly?

Very friendly. They usually bring water to our dog before us😄

Can they accommodate vegan options?

Yes! Just ask for it .The chef will do special dishes. But not on all items.

Does anyone have a preference for lunch or dinner here? The outside seems so nice that it seems better for lunch...

Lunch is nicer in my opinion! The menu is a little more laid back and it's nice to take a break from the pool or whatever you were doing, and sit outside while you eat. Dinner is much more formal and features a tasting menu. Therefore, I personally… Read more

From the moment we arrived, the warmth, friendliness, and deep knowledge of the service staff made the evening feel truly special, and the pacing of the meal was impeccable as it never felt rushed or dragging, just a beautiful flow from course to course. Every single dish was spectacular, with each bite layered with flavor and intention, and the highlight of a night full of highlights was getting to tour the kitchen and even meet the Chef Garcia. At one point I mentioned a particularly delicious fish sauce martini I'd had elsewhere, and our server surprised me by bringing out a small pourer of fish sauce so I could customize my own tasting, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. You can really feel Chef Garcia's experience and talent in how he marries flavors, textures, temperatures, and heat; each course felt like a masterclass in balance and harmony. Given our experience, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Auro awarded a second (or even third) star in the near future.

The evening began with an array of tasty treats which paid homage to chef's Mexican heritage. Followed by a stunning focus on seasonal fishes, where global flavors and modern techniques came together in the most harmonious way. Bright and awakening flavors of the shima aji. Melt-in-your-mouth ora king salmon. Bold flavors balanced with the soft textures of rare seasonal kinki fish. The progression to the land courses was flawless. The 7-day dry-aged coriander crusted duck was a masterpiece with a crispy skin and tender meat. Followed by the 21-day dry-aged Australian Wagyu; smoky, rich, and deep in umami. The meal transitioned into its final act with multiple courses of tantalizing desserts that danced on the palette. The optional wine pairing was perfectly matched with wines from across the globe. Each wine meticulously explained with passion, with pours that were quite generous for Bay Area standards. The entire service team was so kind and knowledgeable, thorougly explaining each dish, in addition to answering our questions. A tour of the kitchen and a conversation with Chef Garcia himself was a delight, offering a glimpse into the passion that drives this kitchen. It's no surprise that Auro has earned its many consecutive Michelin star; the level of execution and creativity is staggering. Congratulations to the entire team at Auro. This was, without a doubt, one of the best meals I've had all year and a dining experience I will remember for a very long time.

Located in the heart of Calistoga on the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Cedar Street, Calistoga Inn Restaurant & Brewery is part hotel, part restaurant and part brewery with the latter two being both indoors and outdoors. What brought a friend and I here for a weekend lunchtime meal was the fact that we were enjoying a nice early wine tasting in Calistoga and my friend who has been here before suggested we try out this place for our meal as they have enjoyed their time in the past. And how could they not, as the Calistoga Inn Restaurant has one of the most popular outdoor dining venues in the Napa Valley, thanks in large part to their huge outdoor patio that stretches along the aforementioned Napa River, complete with shady lush foliage, not to mention their well regarded micro-brewery, otherwise known as the Napa Valley Brewing Company that occupies the historic water tower that towers over the entire property. upon entry to their outdoor patio, a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs welcomes diners. We managed to get lucky when their host, who also serves as one of their many servers, sat my dining mate and I at a table for four people that had plenty of sunshine overhead. The lunch menu at Calistoga Inn Restaurant & Brewery is separated into categories including Starters, Starter Soups and Salads, Sandwiches, Lunch Plates, Pastas, Pizzas, Sides, and their Beverage menu including their award-winning beers, wines, mocktails, and cocktails. Although their pastas sounded so delicious our server David let us know that their Sandwiches were their most popular dish during the lunch hour, and their French Dip Sandwich made with thinly sliced ribeye, caramelized onions, truffle aioli, provolone cheese served on a house made French roll and served with a side of au jus dipping sauce and a side of garlic-cheese fries was one of their favorite sandwiches. I was sold and ordered that for my entrée. My dining mate ordered their Nashville Fried Chicken Sandwich, which was a deep fried breast basted in spicy special sauce, served with butter pickles, mayonnaise, coleslaw and instead of being served on their house made brioche bun, they asked for it to be served on their house-made focaccia, which usually comes with their turkey and brie sandwich along with a side garlic-cheese fries. To go with our meal I opted to drink their Como La Flor mocktail which was made with hibiscus syrup, water and lime juice after my first choice of their Black Swan cocktail was unavailable, while my dining mate ordered their Rombauer Chardonnay 2023 which is sourced from the Carneros region in Napa Valley. It wouldn't take too long for our meal to come out, and the team at the Calistoga Inn Restaurant & Brewery were very accommodating of my dining mate's request to not be served their spicy dipping sauce that already came on their Nashville Fried Chicken sandwich as they came out with a variety of dipping sauce, including mayonnaise to be served with their sandwich and fries. My French Dip Sandwich was one of the tastiest that I have ever enjoyed as it came with plenty of provolone cheese and the au jus dipping sauce which sometimes can taste off-putting tasted just right this time. With our refreshing drinks in hand we had a wonderful time out their on their patio, which would get more crowded as the lunch hour wore on. And why wouldn't it? As the sun's rays would shine down upon us while we ate and drank. Our total bill was 87 dollars before gratuity and taxes were added in, which can be considered high, but for what we received, including extra food to take home for an additional meal, then I consider it well worth it. At Calistoga Inn Restaurant & Brewery the food, service and atmosphere cannot be beat and with all the high-end wineries around the area, this restaurant and brewery is well worth a visit to get you back into the mood to wine taste once again!

I ordered the Napa Valley Breakfast which was a solid breakfast option, though the scrambled eggs and country-style hash browns were under-seasoned. The lunch menu starts at 11a so half of our party ordered breakfast and the other half ordered lunch. I can see how this is a great place to eat on the patio. Service was friendly and fast.
